Good hotel very close to the main pedestrian area in Cork. Staff extremely friendly towards my 2 year old daughter. Parking a bit difficult to access, and room furnishings were on the older side -- but very clean and large, which was greatly appreciated (especially related to other hotels we staying ...
This hotel is glorious and even if one is not staying there, do at least eat at the restaurant. Absolutely the most divine salmon I have ever tasted. Brilliant chef and they make a mean gin and tonic. Hotel staff and accommodations both top notch. One can sit outside in good weather and enjoy the ...
First off this is a very old and dated hotel. They were doing renovations of the 2nd and part of the 3rd floor while we were there and the elevators could only access the 2nd floor. We had tobtake the stairs to the 3rd. With 2 large suitcases and folf clubs it was not easy. They did upgrade us to a suite and it was very large but it was so old. The bed was so hard you could feel every single spring. Also there was no a/c. I know most places don't have them there but the window would only open an inch so it was so hot all night. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything. I hate writing bad reviews but this place needs a lot of work.
We were told on arrival we would be in another wing on the top floor. There was staf to help but a difficult place to stay if you. Have a bad knee. Also not that close to the downtown pubs where we hoped to hear Irish music . Also plan your trip so you are not driving to or from this hotel or around town during rush hour- long backups on the roads.
Hotel was fair and the location city not ideal. Way over priced for the level of the hotel. Missing on the small details. Nice little breakfast area except they had rap music playing on the $10 sound system.
Nice place and friendly staff. But not found on GPS. Address is unclear or incorrect. Breakfast is charged extra at this bed and breakfast!
