A hotel which ticks all of the boxes. intimate (with just 7 rooms or so), high quality and relaxing! The staff are so friendly and will go out of their way to ensure you are having the best possible experience. The rooftop pool and spa area felt like our own private paradise above the hot and busy streets in the daytime. My husband and I booked massages which were wonderful and such good value for money. The food is fresh, delicious and well presented and the rooms are very comfortable. My favourite aspect was the bathroom though, with its glass wall looking onto beautifully restored brickwork. I can not recommend hotel LM more and highly recommend you go.
The hotel is felt exclusive and was gorgeous. Service is superb - great staff in every aspect. Breakfast was decent. I recommend room 7 as you have a view of the small pool in the morning. Yes, there was HBO and we watched GoT finale while we were there! I wish there's a way to seal off the bathroom window though - there's complete privacy but mosquitoes could get in unfortunately. Otherwise a really great stay!
Excellent service, great staff, charming and large comfortable rooms in this elegantly re-purposed historic mansion, making our family of 6 adults feel completely at home and graciously treated. Favorite memories include the complete serenity and peace of "bottomless" morning cups of coffee con leche outside the open kitchen with staff quietly at hand, followed by a delicious breakfast included in our room rate, in the hotel's dining room. A glass of wine and a dip in the refreshing spa at the end of the day on the serene rooftop terrace. Turn down service of the cool and pressed bedding with nightly chocolates on the nightstand. An intimate and delicious dinner for our party of 6 (offered, accepted, and thoroughly enjoyed) in the hotel's lovely and private dining room. AND, finally, seeing Tiger Woods win his 5th Master's live in the hotel's comfortable sitting room on Sunday! After all, here there are only 7 guest rooms, peace and quiet is ensured, attention to personal needs or planning is nearly immediate......and though we truly LOVE tiny children (and have had quite a few in our family in the past), we didn't see (or hear) even one little person during our 7 night stay. (This being in contrast to a day visit to check out the Sofitel......very busy with sweet but noisy little visitors, and some adults talking oh-so-loudly on their ever-ringing cell-phones....mainly at the pool). A few considerations as you plan your stay: An issue with the AC in one of our rooms was handled the same day as we reported with efficiency (thank you so much!). To our knowledge, there is no elevator in the hotel, so those having difficulty with stairs or walking might find the climb to the 2nd level suites or roof-top terraces almost impossible, but there was a beautiful first floor suite. And finally, this hotel is in one of the busiest sections of the historic center, meaning we were steps away from "The Wall", each and every restaurant we had wanted to visit, and many interesting shops. The hotel was blissfully quiet, in what is a very busy part of the city directly outside the front door, with rushing cabs, horse-drawn carriages, pedestrian traffic, and persistent walking vendors...all characteristics of the city itself. Sincere thank you to all the fine staff at Hotel LM for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable.
My cousin and I stayed at Hotel LM and the customer service from check-in to even after check-out was outstanding! We felt safe and at home here. We had to leave our larger luggage here while venturing out to the islands for 2 nights, and the staff allowed us to without any problem saying, "Of course, this is your home!" The room we had was very spacious. We could peak outside our beautiful balcony and see all the action of the street while admiring the other beautiful buildings in our view. Despite the street being right below our balcony, we were able to get a quiet night's rest each night. The rooftop has beautiful views of the city, with a small heated pool that is perfect to end your activity filled day in. The complimentary breakfast with fruits, breads, and spreads was perfect to start our day with. This hotel is within the prime area of the Old City of Cartagena. My cousin and I loved that all the wonderful restaurants, bars, and sights that were within walking distance of the hotel. It really is the perfect location. We never needed a taxi, except to go to the airport. Even the port for the boats to get to most of the island getaways was a 5-10 minute walk. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend staying here if you're coming to Cartagena.
Nice boutique hotel with a great location in Cartagena's historical center. Seven beautifully decorated rooms. Rooftop with jacuzzi & view of the city. The variety of the breakfast buffet and the efficiency of the service could be a bit better for a hotel of this luxury/price category.
Just stayed at this hotel, and couldn’t be more pleased about the service. Javier at the front desk welcomed us like it was home away from home. They had a water pressure problem, but offered us the option to stay at their other property across the street.
Loved this hotel! The staff, the room, the location were all terrific! The hotel is small and unique. The rooms are spacious and well stocked with amenities. They even had Direct TV with multiple English channels. The walk in shower was lovely. There is a small pool outside on the roof. There are spa treatments available. Breakfast was included with my room rate and more than adequate. When we return to Cartagena, we will return To LM hotel.
This hotel in the old town has a great location but is still off the loud and noisy busy streets. The building is really nice and with only 7 rooms in total you can be assured to have a singular experience. Pool on the sunny deck, good breakfast with fresh fruits and dishes prepared on demand this Hotel had the fasted WiFi I experienced in Colombia. Only negative part is that the doors are not much noise resistant and thus you might hear the noise from the parlour or the water pump which is on day and night.
My husband and I stayed at Hotel LM for 4 nights and it was incredible! We stayed in a suite with a massive bathroom with a water feature. The location is perfect within the walled city and the staff could not do more for you!
Wonderful long weekend in Cartagena at the Hotel LM -- this hotel has a great location in the old town, but is quiet! We were in Room 4 (of 7 total rooms) and heard absolutely ZERO street noise. Great breakfast, very comfortable and spacious room, and a very attentive and pleasant staff -- I hope we get a chance to return here soon!
