Not my first time visiting the hotel, but my first time staying. Faultless. I was in a standard room and it was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great shower, high end toiletries supplied. Great breakfast also. But the highlight remains the employees - polite, friendly, helpful. One of my favourite hotels. I recommend it 100%
The Voco in Cardiff is an easy access venue for conferences. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed. The bar and restaurant have a good selection of food and drink. The venue is modern with clean lines and the staff are very welcoming
Great views of the bay from the rooms and restaurant. Clean rooms .. professional staff. Pool and gym are worth visiting although, very weirdly, hotel guests are only permitted at certain times. I visit often but the hotel will not add the stays to my membership because I book through an agent rather than direct .... I might stay somewhere else in future as a result
We stayed a night here and the hotel cost over £300 for the night. The room was pretty basic and the bathroom would have been better suited in a Premier Inn. Overpriced and not worth the money. We complained and they sent us a £5 bottle of wine (which we sent back as it was an insult!). Never again.
We were a group of 8 ladies and booked 5 rooms, one of which was an accessible twin room. Superior rooms all with balconies overlooking the water with lovely views. Comfortable beds with good quality bedding. Robes. Clean though the easy chairs were a little worn. Shower over bath. Aveda bathroom products. Mobile phone port for charging next to bed. Tea, coffee and bara brith cake. Friendly welcoming receptionist. Accessible room was very good. Restaurant and bar good. Good breakfast choice. Short taxi ride from the train station. Spa I had a brilliant massage by Joanne! Fantastic! The pool was very cold and not disabled friendly. Special thanks to Donata who very patiently dealt with all my enquiries during the booking process. Also, thank you to Roberto, who went the extra mile in looking after us ladies!
I celebrated my 60th Birthday at this hotel with 30 guests, the private room was just fantastic, we had a three course meal including steak and fish options, everything with perfectly cooked, probably the best food I've eaten from a hotel. The barman was excellent and so were all the waiting staff. I had a great night so thank you to everybody at the hotel.
I've been coming here since the hotel opened and it's never been so good as it is now. Check-in more friendly, service more customer-focused. Staff seem happier and the restaurant menu is vastly improved. Recent feedback has seen an addition to the breakfast menu for vegetarians like myself and with no fuss. Guest Relations Manager, Greg, took care of this personally and has particularly made a good impression. Friendly and efficient, a good marker for hotel staff wanting to go further in their career. Recently-refurbished rooms extremely comfortable often with the option of a city or sea view. Highly recommend. Already looking forward to my next visit!
Perfect break away, the service was outstanding. We became members and now receive exclusive offers and have booked to go back. Well worth the money, the spa was 10/10. The views from the balcony were absolutely breath taking, we don’t live far from Cardiff but never realised just how beautiful the bay is.
A great location, very welcoming and also allows dogs (with a charge). We were allowed to drink and eat in the bar with our dog! Will be back. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Had all the usual additions, tea and coffee etc. A good base to see Cardiff.
Stayed here for one night in a deluxe room in June. Lovely modern hotel overlooking the bay. I imagine all rooms have this view and while it is slightly out of Cardiff centre, it is a quiet peaceful location which is highly recommended, if this is what you are looking for. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and a minor booking error was sorted quickly with no fuss. Had room service dinner here and frankly this was one of the best room service meals I've had. Served within 15 mins, piping hot and delicious. The hotel should be congratulated. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Cardiff.
