The hotel is in a great location and was a reasonable price. The check-in process was efficient and friendly, and we were made welcome. The breakfast provision was fine - plenty to choose from - with choices from the usual cooked breakfast, salmon, and fresh fruit and cereal. I would definitely recommend the breakfast, it got our day off to a great start! Despite the above, my reason for 3* is primarily down to the room, The room was dissapointingly average. The lampshades were tired and heavily frayed; the pillows were quite lumpy and tired; the bedding was washed out; and and the room was a little on the dusty side. The main issue was the bathroom - the seal on the shower screen was non-existent, so the bathroom flooded everything you showered! Not ideal, especially when the floor tiles are very slippery. The complimentary toiletries were good quality and much appreciated. The room service menu was a little expensive (no surprise) but the food trays we saw did look quite appetising. Overall, it was a nice and comfortable stay, but I think I would be tempted to look at other hotels for any future visits.
I’m sorry to say that our stay was not what we were expecting - having previously stayed at Radisson Hotels in different cities before. The room was sub-standard with a very dirty carpet, leaking shower, poor water pressure and noisy air conditioning unit The reception staff very unhelpful and unapologetic and we shall not be spending our money there again
1st time in a RB as it's normally out of our price range. External renovation going on might have been the reason for the rate. Only impact was minimal signage so nearly drove right passed it. Staff friendly, large comfortable room but a little dark in places. Only niggle in my room was the curtain had a few inches off the rail so didn't quite close. No others in our large group had any issues though. Very close to bars, restaurants, shops and the rugby stadium. Would deffo stay again if could get at a good price.
We booked to stay at the Radisson Blu in Cardiff to attend a wedding reception at a nearby venue. The hotel is centrally based close to all the shops and restaurants. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and the rooms were very spacious and spotless We never used the restaurant so I can't comment on it. It would be worth checking out their website for any other facilities if you're thinking of staying as our stay was just for the night We'll definitely be using this hotel again for future visits.
I Stayed here for the last two nights, my room was large and everything I needed was available for me, the place was spotless throughout and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I didn’t have breakfast but my colleagues who stayed here as well told me the food was plentiful and of excellent quality. The location is ideal for a stay in Cardiff, close enough to the centre and yet far enough away to get some peace
We had booed this hotel as it was very close to the city centre and other areas. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful as well. They had managed to extent our stay due to late train. great break and comfortable bed. would stay again
Having just spent a couple of days here I can recommend it. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was as described on the hotel website. We only had the basic room but it was a good size, I especially liked the fact that the sleeping area was separate from the bathroom and dressing area. It had a large screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities etc. I also liked the fact that the fridge/mini bar was empty so we wouldn't be charged for anything purely for opening it. The breakfast was plentiful and there was lots of choice.
Stayed with my friend for a 4 day girly weekend and loved every minute of our stay. Hotel is right in the centre, right behind the huge shopping centre, Castle or Bay both are 10 min walk and the view was amazing from our room! Room was clean and spacious, reception staff very friendly and professional. Although didn't try the restaurant for lunch or dinner, but loved the breakfast with its huge selection. Everything was fresh and tasty with proper healthy options too. My favourite thing about this hotel was the staff. Smiley faces all around at all time, and nothing is trouble for them. They make you feel home away from home. Cant recomend enough and cant wait to be back again.
We stayed for one night at this hotel the room was very comfortable the only problem was it was on the17th floor this would not of been a problem if someone hadn't set the fire alarm off. Luckily it was in the morning, I realise this was not the fault of the hotel, as my husband has a back problem the stairs were a bit difficult. If we stay there again which hopefully we will I would request a lower floor. The breakfast was enjoyable and all staff at the hotel very friendly
This hotel goes above an beyond we have had a tough year with our little boy so this stay was well deserved!! I emailed the hotel before the stay explaining this stay was special for my partners 30th didn’t expect a reply but a lovely lady Gemma did and she arranged an upgrade for us on the room with a beautiful view of the city, a happy birthday plate and all this for us as it was my partner birthday the whole stay was magical breakfast was out of this world we look forward to our next stay there
