My husband and I have enjoyed the Radison Hotel in the centre of Cardiff for many years. We have stayed at the Hilton and the Maldron but we have been always met with the happy team in Reception also the Dining room staff who know us well by now.The room we are always allocated to is exceptional the views are outstanding and we enjoy the peace and tranquility that we need as we get older. The food is superb and the choice is amazing, We cannot fault the Manager Sameer who has always made us very welcome he is a perfect gentleman and makes sure all his guests are happy. We have visited many Hotels in different Countries but we feel all the Staff at the Radisson are so special that we are sad when we have to leave. We have been unable to go anywhere since our last visit but the sooner we are able to pick up I will be making a booking as we feel we are one of the family now.For us this is the best tonic we could ever wish for

Does what it says on the tin! Entrance is a bit scruffy at the moment because of hoardings up to hide building work but once inside everything is shipshape. Pleasant staff and functional box room with en suite. All clean and tidy with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Bathroom was large and everything worked well once I realised tyou had to turn the taps in the opposite direction to get the shower to work instead of filling the bath. Central shopping area very close (John Lewis a one minute walk from reception) and great views from my room out to the bay.

Amazing....just amazing. presentable staff, nice and warm welcome. Amazing room. Standard room with fridge and other facility. Good size. Just loved the whole stay. Good location with choice to eat out.

I had a one-night stay in April 2018. The current entrance to the hotel is through some ugly hoardings whilst some massive refurbishment takes place. This is a good idea, as the hotel is tired and frankly dirty and threadbare, and I had no sense of wanting to hang around. Room was large, nice big bed, awful view of the Cardiff rail yards. Bathroom tiles felt like they were cracking beneath my feet, suggesting this hotel has reached the end of its useful life. The fitness room is hopeless: obviously just a former room stripped out with a running machine and a bike in it. Keep your dignity and close it if you can't provide something better. Breakfast dried out, but this isn't unusual at this price point. I can't forgive the hair in the bath or all over the table at breakfast, though the staff seemed nice.

Our room was a standard double on the sixth floor. We were staying in Cardiff for one night and were not spending much time in our room as we were in town to watch our son's Samba band perform in aid of a homeless charity. Cardiff as always, was very busy on a Saturday night and so the hotel was also very busy. We didn't wait long at Reception before being greeted by a very friendly Receptionist. Both check in and check out were easy. Our room looked over the railway line but the double glazing kept all external noise outside and we found the room quiet and restful. The bed was comfortable. The decor was pleasant. We booked through the Trivago website and our room rate included breakfast. The restaurant is on the first floor and is served by 2 lifts. The lifts were very busy Sunday morning and we ended up walking down the fire escape to check out. There was a good selection of breakfast foods in the buffet and we left the hotel very satisfied. The Radisson Blu is excellently situated close to the main railway station, the Motorpoint arena and, most importantly for us, one minute away from our bus stop for the T9, the airport express bus. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for one night as we were going to a concert at St Davids Hall, managed to park, bit of a tight squeeze, but once you got in plenty of spaces, room on the 13th floor, standard room spotless bit tired looking, but for one night OK. Staff super friendly and efficient working on the outside of the building but didn't bother us, would stay there again ideal location.

As I have a Radisson Card I do tend to support their hotels when I travel. Thank goodness that the hotel is having a revamp. Granted the public areas are nice, we had dinner in the evening in the in-house restaurant, its probably not too popular of an evening as they only had a few tables but the food was OK, nothing outstanding but the waitress was lovely. The room was the biggest disappointment. Probably the worst Radisson bedroom I have ever experienced. I honestly thought twice about wanting to sleep there. The bathroom had been revamped and was fine. Breakfast was the usual outstanding Radisson offering so no complaints there!

Amazing!! The staff were super friendly and would ask if you need anything. Room service was quick and free of charge and they were open to any questions you had, there was two phones in the room and a book to show what was available and what prices. The bathroom was very up to date and stunning I couldn’t fault it. The room had all facilities including tea, iron, hairdryer etc. The bed was comfy, clean and the sheets were really soft. Yes the room it’s self was a little dated but spotless and you couldn’t fault it! I would love to stay again.

Booked a stay months ago, a few weeks later the boxing was announced and prices went crazy. Thought that it wouldn't affect our stay. So disappointed when we arrived and found various bits of the hotel roped off for boxing guests. We were shown to a dark and slightly shabby room with disabled call lines all over the place. Breakfast was buffet style and even though we were there at 8 o'clock it was cold. Really feel that because we paid the usual room rate and not the £500 plus others were paying that we were treated as very much second class citizens.

We stayed for a short break and couldn’t fault at all. Room was clean and comfortable with a stunning view of the city. Well stocked bar with a decent wine list. Breakfast was fantastic with an amazing selection of dishes suitable for a vegetarian. Staff were helpful and polite.
