Housekeeping were superb … both bedroom and bathroom attended to beautifully on a daily basis - thank you to all staff involved . Bar service also very friendly and helpful . Garden furniture varied and plentiful but garden itself could’ve done with some upkeep & maintenance - appreciate it’s been a very hot summer but grass can still be cut and plants tidied up ?

Spacious bathroom, comfortable bed. Lovely view of the castle, good breakfast. The only thing was floor lamp didn’t work, we mentioned it at the reception but never been fixed while we stayed 4 nights. Otherwise all good!

Nice hotel in good location with friendly staff, especially the English man who checked us in - he was very friendly, efficient and helpful and does the hotel credit. Our room was very nice with castle view, the breakfast was reasonable though blighted by a tempermental coffee machine and an agonisingly slow toaster (why are these so common in hotels?). A star deducted for the housekeeping which did not get to our room until 4 pm and failed to replenish toilet roll, face tissues or replace the tea bags we had used. The hotel pool was nice but I don't understand why it does not open until 10 am when many hotel guests prefer an early swim before breakfast or leaving for the day ahead. Given it is unstaffed and secure, why not open it at 6 or 7? Overall though, the hotel is recommended for its good location and overall good quality and helpful staff.

The location is fabulous with great views. Sadly this is the only 5 star aspect of this hotel. We had several problems, one a major safety issue which meant we had to occupy 4 different rooms in a 7 night stay. All of the issues really came down to poor overall management leading to poor customer service. Both Expedia and Hilton head office we very helpful to us but the staff were not really bothered.

Shambles

The whole experience was like faulty towers. I have never been to a Hilton with such shambolic staff! No room until 7pm and then given a room with 1bed for 4 people! Staff trying to give our bags left in secure left luggage to other guests even when they have a ticket and name on them! Finally provided with 2 rooms at9pm. Totally ruined our stay in carcassonne for the Tour de France!
