This hotel was in the perfect spot for a short visit to Cape Town. The hotel has everything you could want. Rooms are amazing. Views from the hotel are spectacular. You can see Table Mountain for the balcony. Good laundry service here for a fee. The dining options are varied and all wonderful. Staff is extremely helpful and professional. We used the complimentary car service around town. No complaints with this stay!
One of the best hotels in South Africa. All the staff are exceptionaly friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. The breakfast is a massive buffet with an ala carte as an option. There is a chauffeur service available as well! Hat off to Elton the barman! What a character! Making exotic drinks tableside with a passion out of this world! Ou maat ons sal terugkom net om nog van jou drinks te drink!! Fantasties!
What an amazing vacation! The one and only took great care of us. The breakfast at Reuben's was simply spectacular!!! The villas oh my god don't get me started on how beautiful they are. Take a moment to enjoy afternoon tea. Vincent will help you select the best choice. You'll crave more! Andrew, the night porter, was gracious each evening as he helped direct our plans to continue to enjoy our vacation. Not only would he help book your tours but was there to welcome you and excited to learn about your travels as we returned each evening. Thanks for great service, amazing smiles, and new friendships!
Even if you flew to Cape Town and didn't do anything else but visit here, it would be a worthwhile trip. I could go on about the scenery and the majestic surroundings, but I'm sure that is a broken record here. The amazing balance of nature, genuine South African culture and a twist of modern chic decor and service. You can take off your watch and forget time. With so much to do for everyone. Granted it isn't the most child-centric Spa. But then what good luxury Spa ever really is? My only real caveat would be the lack of dietary diversity for those with special dietary need such as dairy and lactose intolerance.
When we drove up to the One & Only, not only was it physically beautiful and in a fabulous location near the Alfred & Victoria Waterfront, the warm welcome we received made us feel as if we were honored guests. Our room faces Table Mountain, and you want an upper floor. The room and bathroom are luxurious, the small details and amenities clearly set this hotel apart; however, it is the service that will blow you away.
Last day in Cape Town, we decided to have an island suite at the One & Only. From the welcome in the lobby till the last minute you are their guest, they are able to show you why it is "One & Only". Everything impeccable, from the room amenities to the amazing breakfast. We had also dinner at the Reuben's which was another masterpiece of our staying. Service and food were memorable. honestly, the best spaghetti with bolognese sauce my son ever had outside Italy. My tempura prawns and the risotto were sublime.
The One and Only Hotel in Cape Town is worth its six star status. Our room was huge as was the bathroom. The decor was modern and clean. From our room we could see Table Mountain when it was clear. The bathroom area was large and had a huge soaking tub along with separate shower room. To help us celebrate our anniversary, they delivered us a fruit bowl, cheese plate, chocolates, champagne and sprinkled rose petals around the room. It was lovely. In the lobby there are so many staff people waiting to greet and help you it sometimes feels overwhelming. We had breakfast each morning at Reubens, which was a huge buffet with everything you could possibly want. We also had dinner one night at Reubens which was also very good. This hotel is a 5 minute walk to the main waterfront shopping and and restaurant area.
This is a nice hotel, walking distance from the V&A waterfront, food market and more amazing location!! Some rooms have view to table mountain and its amazing, staff members are nice the only thing i didn't like was the in room dinning.
This is a great place to stay. One of the nicest hotels in Cape Town. The rooms are luxurious and have everything you need for a pampered stay. The staff is friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. Nice restaurants and spa are on sight. Outside and inside patio bar and fitness center are nice. Infinity pool is lovely. Very safe area and walking distance to great waterfront activities, nice restaurants and shopping.
Stayed in an island 2bedroom suite with my wife and 3 kids....room, service and food were all fantastic!! The breakfast each morning at Ruben's was wonderful and the staff at each interaction were very gracious and warm.
