The most amazing customer service I have ever received! Everyone from the front door, the concierge staff to the wait staff! Beautiful property and perfectly appointed rooms! Loved the One and Only..:so aptly named!

It started from the airport with Valentine, who patiently waited, for us to exit the airport, for approximately an hour all the while holding a sign with our name on it. He never once showed any disdain:) Then the taxi driver drove us safely to our hotel while having a meaningful conversation. The door man whose name I can't remember, tall blade black man welcomed us by opening our doors with a smile. He knew our names and addressed us by such for the entire stay. Mandee is the concierge every hotel needs! He pays attention to every detail and covers all the bases, even things you don't foresee. Mandee is the best! Gabriel, a very attentive and astute gentleman, made this vacation extremely enjoyable for us. He always provided us service with a smile. He helped us every step of the way with information and guidance to authentic African cultural eateries and experiences. Vladish was my capacino guru. He made sure we had our morning coffee and breakfast daily. I wish I could've "Packed him in my suitcase back to New York City:)" Christian, thanks for the quick resolution, warm hugs to you:). I will come back to this hotel again anytime I come to visit South Africa! My only regret is not having the time to eat at chef Ruben's restaurant. If he is ever in N.Y.C., please send me an email invite and we'll gladly dine with him as long as he cooks the meal:) The pleasure of staying at the One and Only is that the staff, from the bottom up, make you feel special and spoiled. Thank

This in the past has been my go to place to stay. The overall experience has really dropped. At check in I was told I was upgraded. However, when I got to my room it looked like I was downgraded. I booked an Island Superior King Bed Room. The bed was not a King. Then one of sinks was plugged. Then the cleaning staff didn't refill toilet paper and never dried the floor in shower. So then had to call an request toilet paper. Lastly, the safe quit working and all our items were stuck in safe. The security staff had to come and drill our safe. Proceeding to take two hours. Do I need to say more. It was a dreadful stay.

This hotel may be better than the Four Seasons I stayed at in Bora Bora. It was HEAVEN! The staff is super friendly, the amenities and rooms are super lovely, the concierge is very helpful, and the location IS AMAZING! My only gripe is that although there is complimentary Wi-Fi, you only get 500MB per day. You can buy more, but for the price of the room, it would be nice to have unlimited data during your stay. Btw, special shout-out to Ashley who helped check us in and made sure our entire stay was fabulous. Based on my experience here, I am looking at visiting other One and Only properties around the world!

Nice hotel but not worth the money. I was expecting a top 5 star experience, but this hotel did not give me that. We stayed at other places in Cape Town that were cheaper and better.

A brand new hotel, very contemporary, beautiful decor, good location. Very good service, very kind people. Rooms are excellent, 5 star.
