The hotel’s location right next to the entrance to the Canterbury Cathedral is unbelievably convenient. The hotel is beautifully decorated and maintained. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to help and make your stay an unforgettable experience! This is a fantastic hotel for a visit to Canterbury. Absolutely central to everything you come to Canterbury to see, but has the added bonus of being a hotel you look forward to coming back to at the end of the day. It feels like coming home. The staff, the ambience, the furnishing seem designed to create a feeling of welcome. Ask the staff about it's history as well. It's been here even longer than the Cathedral Gate that anchors it. Highly recommend if you like hotels that are story worthy. I'll definitely return.

Quirky environment, but pleasing. Very limited view of cathedral despite advertising room had a view. Very handy for visit to cathedral and view city. Breakfast room overlooks historic city centre. A fantastic location with a large very clean bedroom. The bathroom was small but good with an enthusiastic shower. Normal coffee and tea making facility. My only complaint was the bed was rather small for two people. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Is definitely stay here again.
