We came to the resort and paid premium during holiday week to celebrate New Year and got absolutely no celebration. There was no communication about the event or need to make reservations. The hotel had our phone numbers and emails, but nothing about New Year was communicated. Upon checking into the hotel two days prior, we were told that the details of New Year party are still being worked out. There were no signs in the lobby, by the pool/beach, or other common areas. The event was held in a small ballroom, despite ample space on the beach and other spaces in the resort. We only found it after asking the concierge. The ballroom filled up quickly, and a huge number of guests were turned away due to lack of space. When the overflow guests went to the hotel bar to try and have their own celebration, staff refused to turn on music, and sent us back to the ballroom that was already full. Frustrated and left with no good choices, we decided to walk the beach, only to see numerous New Year celebrations at the neighboring resorts. When we complained about our experience to guest services the next day, all we got was a lukewarm apology. Also, this was by far the worst food selection and food quality in our 10+ years of attending various all inclusive resorts. We were so frustrated with the food, that we left the resort for dinner two of the evenings, and paid exorbitant prices at restaurants in the area. Lastly, we barely got any sleep all week due to a crying baby next door.

Super large openings around door so you can hear everything. I could hear people’s thoughts in the room next to me. Heard someone past gas by the door and laugh. Had large ants crawling in bathroom often so treated them like my pets. Second day there sewage was backed up (neither me nor my partner took any dumbs at that time). Had room with swim up pool and pool was ice cold at all times. Only really good food that I had was at steakhouse (which you pay for). Phone was never fixed in room. Staff was lovely enjoyed that you didn’t have people trying to get you to buy something at all times. Does have quick access to beach. Everytime I tried to connect phone to tv I could hear it connecting to neighbors room. Back to the food, I got food poisoning from a burger (which are just sitting out in open so guess that’s my fault for even trying it) so I was out for a whole day. The cafe spot when you enter is good. So overall worse place I’ve stayed of all the places in that area. Staff is what makes me give 2 stars I Wouldn’t recommend.

Had a great time. Staff were super friendly and accomodating, rooms were clean, food was decent. My wife and I both got sick on this trip from the water/food so that was the worst part. Overheard a few others there at the same time as us who also got sick, for that reason I wouldn't return. Overall had a good experience despite food poison.

The room, pools, and beach were great! Staff was very friendly and the resort felt clean. The only problem was that my fiancé has a gluten allergy and finding some food options (especially lunch) was a bit challenging and had a reaction on our last night which brought down the mood at the end of our trip Overall the resort was great but there needs to be a bit more care put into accommodating those with allergies and helping staff understand the risks of cross contamination.
