It really does not live up to its concept . Although there are no bracelets theres a division between club members and non members. Theres an area on the beach solely for members and even the hammocks are only for members. If you want a bed on the beach its 35$ , if you want lobster its also more money . So their concept is a little off . Drinks - The pre made drinks are extremely watered down. I ordered a sangria and got grape juice, the sodas are flat and margaritas were water mixed with a hint of tequila . They really need to step this up .better off ordering something simple like “baileys on the rocks” . The do have brand name liquor so this was a nice touch and a PLUS . Mini bar is definitely a plus . They offer beers and glass sodas . No reservations at the restaurants is great q PLUS. During peak times you may wait 15 mins for a table which inst as bad . Service at the restaurants is really slow. We were at one restaurant for 2hrs . Food is mediocre Room service - the food is very limited and served in small portions but quality and service is great . We got our food in 35mins . Pool/ beach Pools were nice and big but not heated as a they claim . We were overlooked at times on the beach and were not offered drinks like other guests . The beach is small like a little bay and great for kids since it does not have waves . This is definitely not a party hotel , its more for couples and couples with children. Amazing staff and very accompanieding to our needs. Especially since it was my wife's birthday. They did an awesome job.

Had a nice time however I ended up with Salmonella food poisoning. Which kinda ruined my overall experience.

It was humid and very smelly around the beach due to the brown seaweed and you couldn't even sit by the beach or go to the pool because of the smell. They only started cleaning this stuff up on the beach the last day we were there and they had like afew people due it for an hour in the morning and that's it. I'm not sure why they didn't think it was important to clean this especially when people were having dinner on the beach sometimes.

To be completely honest walking into my room I thought the hotel was going to be meh, but as we hung out by the pool, talked to staff, and had dinner at the restaurants, I love Dream Sands Cancun even more. The bartenders, servers and even spa staff were all so great. My best friend and I were really welcomed and had so much fun. I only wish Tropical Strom Franklin hadn't washed up a bunch of seaweed into the beach because it made it look and smell awful. There were people cleaning it up and unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to be able to see the beautiful beach they're known for. I would definitely come here again and bring my 4-year-old with me because it's a lot more of a family resort.

It was a wonderful experience. I have never been to an all inclusive hotel before. They view from my room was breath taking .

We went to check in and there are not enough concierges. Also, some people were greeted at the door and that didn't happen to us.

Wonderful Trip... Great Food, Fun and Drinks All day long. Staff is really Nice and Friendly. They took care of me at the Spa....Ask for Lily. She is the Best

This was our 4th trip to Cancun but our first time at Dreams. Out of all our trips, this resort had the best staff members. They always had a smile on their faces and happy to help, irrespective of tip. If I could, I would score them a 10/10 on hospitality. Several lunch and dinner options. Dinner options were good too but portion size was small. So be sure to order an individual appetizer. I would definitely recommend this place. A probable go back for us.

We had a bad departure and arrival experience - after missing the departure flight, slow transfer service to hotel, slow check in our good moods had turned to not so good. However, after checking into our room and going right back out to the beach we realized our choice of the Dreams Sands was a good one. The room was immaculate and the temperature was nice and cool and stayed that way, it was almost too cold and we had to turn the air down a few times. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom and shower area are spacious. The staff are plentiful, and very helpful and polite. I have stayed at 4 other Cancun resorts and this one was overall the best for the combination of amenities. Here are the pros and cons: 1. Beautiful beach with easy access with drink service on the beach. 2. Friendly helpful staff. 3. Cold room / comfortable bed. 4. Good variety of food and drink, traditional expansive breakfast buffet, lobby snacks, comp room service, beach food bar with great hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, etc. 5. Entertainment from a Mardi Gras parade to evening lobby singers. The only things we didn't really enjoy was the long check in which transitioned into a short upsell which made us think this was going to be an ongoing ordeal. The orbitz website information about the hotel suggested we could get a balcony room upon request which was not available, it would have been for an extra cost which the orbitz site shows as well.

Rooms are clean and spacious, food is good quality, staff is friendly and eager to please the guests. Manuel at the restaurant Himitzu gave an exceptional service! Chef Jesus at Himitzu restaurant was our personal host and surprised us with delicious dishes from starters to a great desert and made us feel very special!! Would definitely go back!!

Resort needs updating . My honeymoon suite had loud leaky air conditioner. Also workers should wear gloves when preparing and cooking food on the resort.

Beach access was the best, food at dinner was amazing! Staff was extremely professional and friendly. Only downfall is hotel room was outdated, and very poorly maintained.

This was our 4th time to Mexico, 3rd trip to Cancun and our first stay at a Dreams Property. Our check in was quick and we were greated with Champagne. We arrived on a Wednesday so the lobby wasn't overly crowded. We were given our first room older style on the first floor directly above the main entrance to the back of the hotel, 2 double beds and a shower, the bathroom was TINY, small shower and the toilet was right outside of the shower stall. We were traveling with a baby and we had originally requested a King Bed so we requested a room change which was accomodated on the next day. Our next room was on the 3rd floor, above the infinity pool area. The room again was an older style room (pre-remodel), it had a King Bed and a BIG bathroom with a tub, which was great, except the button you press to turn on the bath faucet was removed. Our friends who were staying in another room had the same in their tub. Not sure if the hotel is trying to conserve on water and removes this intentionally. When we addressed this with the front desk, they sent maintenance right away to fix it. When I went to take a bath that night, MOLD and a black film came out of the drain into the tub (gross). I complained to the front desk right away and they moved us, again. We were given an upgrade and moved to the 6th floor. We again were given an unremodeled room but this time with a King Bed and Balcony. The bathroom was identical to the bathroom in the 1st room we were given, small with a shower only

At arrival hotel staff accommodate us right away all restaurants excellent even the buffet location cannot be better in Cancun I travel a lot this is the first hotel that had lots and lots of activities the shows were above-average some even exceptional I stayed for 6 nights and had a wonderful time me and my wife and her sister it truly was a dream thank you to all the staff they were so so friendly see you next year

The Mexican restaurant and service at the beach are excellent.

Personnel gets too pushy to sell time shares it was so anoying.

The only thing I don't like they try to get people buy their time share

amazing time!!! The Staff, bar tenders, front desk, waiters, spa everyone was so welcoming and pleasant. Hotel is very clean. I had a massage, not so great. I think they need to improve on their food, definitely. But overall beautiful hotel

The staff is great. Food is great. A big variety of menus specially the buffet. A lot of seafood. Walking distance to clubs, shops etc.

Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your review and we feel very sorry that you didn't fully enjoy our services. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause, however, it is important to consider that seaweed is a natural phenomenon which has been hardly seen in our beach and it is not only affecting this area but all the seashore along Cancun and Riviera Maya. We are doing our best to have the seaweed removed from our beach as soon as possible.
