My husband and I absolutely loved everything about this resort! The views from our ocean front room were gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the service and staff were amazing. This resort’s attention to detail is what truly sets it apart. They exceeded our expectations at every turn. Our favorite staff member was Miguel, a waiter on the beach, he went above and beyond and we really enjoyed getting to know him. All of the food was really good, but we especially loved the ceviche and Asian cuisine restaurants. And, for snacks we frequented the barefoot grill, and coco cafe. There was no shortage of delicious food all day long. We also got a couples massage while there. The spa was beautiful and our massages were amazing. We can’t wait to book our next trip to Dreams Sands!

Best I’ve ever been treated at a resort already looking to book again in June

I loved everything the hotel offered - great service, delicious food, and beautiful beach. I especially loved the restaurants! My best picks were Himitsu, Bordeaux, and Positano. The breakfast and lunch buffets at World Cafe were above average. The only, but very critical downside was that the windows leaked and the room was flooded when there was heavy rain. It seemed like all the rooms were in similar conditions. The housekeeping staff came in to clean the mess later, but it was very unpleasant. I would come back here, but I would definitely check the forecast beforehand.

Overall we had a great stay! The beach is beautiful and so swimmable even for little kids. Our room was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. They had good channels to watch in the room as well. The staff does an amazing job keeping the property clean! They keep someone around for the bathrooms nearest the pools both by the preferred club as well as the ones near the gym- and they are kept immaculate- especially the ones next to the gym. You would think you walked into a spa and not a bathroom lol. The staff is constantly sweeping up sand that gets dragged in throughout the day both in the lobby and outside. The service was good everywhere we went. The pool alreas were nice enough and we ended up really enjoying the deep pool when we weren’t at the beach. The things we were not thrilled about were the elevators, the gym/fitness area, and mediocre food. The slow small elevators meant a lot of waiting and close quarters with other guests. It was fine but not the best part of the hotel. The gym was a disappointment. It was VERY small- and half of the cardio machines were broken or not working right. And the food was mediocre. We enjoyed somethings like the omelets station at the buffet but there was a long line for them most days, we liked the outdoor grill at lunch time, and the ambiance and service at the restaurants were good- the dinner food was just not outstanding. It wasn’t bad either though so we felt like we got what we expected at an all inclusive food-wise.

It was a decent property for the price. One major issue was the adjoining rooms that have a door in the wall between them. When the other rooms has people talking, it sounds like they are right in the room with you. If they are night people, you will hear them all night, morning people, hear they bright and early. That part was horrible. Other than not being able to get much sleep, the place was great. Told the front desk about our complaint and we were offered nothing to help us feel better about the situation. Thought we should have received a discount or given another stay... seems they are just into getting you in and out.

This property has the best water in Cancun. It is calm and clear. The staff is wonderful and accommodating! The food has improved from our previous stays here. This was our 4th stay. We loved our time on the beach, sailing on the free cat hobies, floating on our air mattresses, and snorkeling. Our only complaint was that we cut our vacation short due to strong mildew/mold smells in our rooms. We tried 3 rooms and I still became ill with a cough immediately even though we aired out the rooms and slept with the balcony door open. By theb3rd day my husband was affected as well. I had to seek medical respiratory care for inflammation in my lungs and wheezing upon returning to the US. I lived in Cali this past year where the fires and smoke hung for months, so I may have been more susceptible this year—not sure. This had been our favorite resort for years otherwise.

We loved the size of the property. The proximity to the beach- restaurants and pool made it easy to navigate. The resort has an amazing beach and the ocean is beautiful (no sea weed). We thought the food was excellent. Morning buffet had several options and we could always find plenty of fresh fruit! We loved the dinner selections at the main restaurants as well. The food exceeded our expectations. The drinks were not quite as good however. They ran out of the better alcohol on a regular basis. I had called before booking to make sure they had Malibu and Miller Lite. They said yes for Malibu and that they had Coors Lite but no Miller Lite (which we were fine with). They only had Coors Light one day and then it was out the rest of the time. And most times they substituted another coconut option for Malibu. The rooms are dated but certainly comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and our AC unit worked great. The halls and common areas were pretty hot- didn’t feel like they had much AC going there. Overall we liked our stay and had an amazing vacation.

I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids with their correct ages. Even paid for Preferred Club to make it a special experience for the kids. Upon arrival, Dreams staff forced me to pay an additional $75 before giving us a room because they said it was only booked for 3 people, even though my confirmation showed 2 adults and 2 children. After an hour of hearing that I was not telling the truth from the staff, the kids just wanted to get in the room so I paid it. They gave us a room without a balcony even though we paid the extra for Preferred Club. We were hungry, went to the restaurant and were seated, then told we would have to leave in 10 minutes because they were changing over to dinner. Then got to the beach and sewage was coming up through the sand. Elevators were tiny and took forever to get up and down. Etc., etc., etc. Done wasting my time and energy on this place.

Everyone made us feel welcomed the minute we arrived. The entire hotel has great views of the beautiful beach. Food and drinks were great!

Staff was very friendly and helpful with everything. The food was fantastic in the specialty restaurants. Did not like the pool and beach area as the beach is very small and kids are running all over the place. Definetely not for adults looking for quiet time and beach and sun as the sun does not hit the beach early enough in the morning, did not like the location. Also Orbitz said deluxe oceanfront king room which normally would have a balcony, it did not however Concierge was helpful in getting me one.
