This was our second visit to The Beloved. It's a perfect vacation for couples. From the moment you arrive until you check out, the staff makes you feel welcome and special. The restaurants are very good, I'd say comparable to most fine dining restaurants in the US. I can't think of anything more relaxing than sitting on a lounge chair under a thatch umbrella on the beach at Playa Mujeres, while the wait staff takes care of your every need, and cute iguanas wander around. Highly, highly recommended.
We loved the peaceful quietness. Although the property could house lots of people, it never seemed crowded. There were always places to sit and relax and enjoy the great and attentive staff.
Air conditioning problems, we were moved 3 times in one day to find a room that the air conditioner worked. We never received turn down service the entire stay. Some staff were not so nice. I can tell you Mex at the front door was the best staff we encountered. Mex is the man.
This was our first trip away as a couple without our kids. The quiet environment this resort offers was exactly what we needed. The staff was very attentive and kind, it was clean and peaceful. We had such a wonderful time and already can't wait to go back.
This was the best vacation I’ve ever taken. Beloved was as stunning as the pictures made it to be and the staff was the most caring I’ve ever experienced! Yet, of all that, the food blew me away. Being an avid foodie, I tempered my expectations of the food at an all inclusive resort…Beloved far exceeded those expectations! My girlfriend and I had some of the best meals we’ve ever had, presentation, flavor, ambiance, every restaurant knocked it out of the park. I can’t wait to return!
The property was modern and well maintained. The feel was relaxing and spa like. Great for couples to reconnect and enjoy each other’s company. The beach was beautiful and the pool area was nice. Staff and service was excellent. It was 5 star service.
I expected better
We were disappointed upon arrival because the original room we had booked, we were not given due to a construction error. We were supposed to be give the 2 story casita with pool however we’re given Oceanside with balcony.

The Beloved Playa Mujeres outdid themselves. The service was outstanding welcomed me with open arms and took care of my every need. My trip was splendid and I can’t wait to come back.
The resort was beautiful and the staff was genuine, kind and friendly. Ask for Max and Christian they are normally the first ones to greet you and take your luggage. The bartenders were great and the drinks were fabulous. The only improvement I would suggest is the food. The little cafe was great, but the food at the restaurants could be better.
This review is based on two stays in the resort, one in early July and another in late August. Our experience during the second visit was definitely better, yet were were over all happy there both times. Yet, we can comfortably say that this could have been an excellent resort but is not. But first, the excellent stuff: the people working there. This is where the resort gets the highest ratings. Christian (the towels and chairs guy), Eduardo and Alex (the drinks-on-the-beach guys) were superb. Alex was particularly amazing. Marcelina the chef in Elmar produced fine dishes, but the food was in all restaurant nvariably excellent. This resort is one of the best I have seen (based on 20 years of going to that area of Mexico, almost every year). The rooms were also spectacular, and cleanliness would be rated between 8 or 9 out of ten. The beach was mostly OK, but everyone knows of the problem of algae due to global warming. The resort tries its best to clean it, but it keeps on coming. Generally, it is far superior to the lower coast (around Playa Del Carmen and Tulum) where the algae is a nightmare (as of the time of this writing -- August 2021). Finally, we MUST note a disturbing problem: The noxious gases emitted by the sea doos that the resort rents out to people. I myself developed headaches and must say this is the one thing that spoiled my good time there. In terms of environmental concerns and health, these things should not have existed in the first place!
