I've never written a bad review in the past, but there were too many disappointing things in this hotel to let it pass this time. * It started already with/at the reception, where we were served by someone who clearly was working there reluctantly and treated us in an unfriendly and rude behaviour. * The greatest disappointment however was the room: it was disgustingly smelly, the airconditioning wasn't properly working (and as someone else already mentioned, it was probably also the main distributor of the stench, but with temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius, turning it completely off wasn't an option either), the drainage of the bathroom sink was taped with plastic to keep everything together, there were stains in the bed sheets, the carpet felt filthy, there were no bathrobes (although it was mentioned on booking.com that it should have been the case, as one of the main reasons people go there is because of the thermal baths) and the whole room with everything in it had a complete worn out "look and feel" and defintely not a hygienic one. ==> And please, hotel management, don't answer now that you're renovating the hotel and that we should come back later and book a newly renovated room, as you seem to be doing here to everyone that has that same complaint, because that's NOT how things should work: if the rooms -mainly on the 6th floor where we were also put- are crappy, filthy and disgustingly smelly, you just don't put people in there, but you close the rooms and/or entire floor until it's renovated and only afterwards put people back in to them! * The wi-fi also wasn't properly working and once again, when my girlfriend went to the reception to mention that and ask for help, she was treated in a very unfriendly way and wasn't helped at all. * The nicest part of the hotel (the reason why most people go there in the first place, I guess) should have been the welness with the thermal baths, but unfortunately there they apparently should also still start with the renovation, I'm afraid, as it had the same (although less outspoken) worn out and unhygienic "look and feel" as our room and the 6th floor we were staying on. * When you're on an island with not many other places to go to, you would also have expected the hotel to have a decent bar and restaurant, but also in that department they "succeeded" in disappointing us. If you wanted to eat "à la carte" you had to go to the restaurant of the neighbouring hotel and in the bar of the hotel they couldn't even serve most of the items they had on their (drink) menu card.

Old room, not very well functioning airco, a lot of carpet and stale smell in room was unpleasant. Service could be nicer, though located on the island which is nice because it is a nice island, also close to parliament!

It was a great hotel experience. Beautiful spa area, very nice room (premium). Very clean room. The staff does its best to accomodate your requests. Nice restaurant. We shall surely try it again in the future.

Expensive stay with no breakfast included in the room rate. No free parking, not the greatest customer service at the reception, front desk or restaurant. Nice leisure pools and saunas. Kind cleaning and pool staff.

After a few days of shopping came here to relax and got exactly what was expected. Staff were mostly courteous and facilities were great. A bit for choice of eating would have been appreciated but what was provided was good.

My wife and I had our wedding here in June. We had almost 30 other guests staying here as well for the before and the day of the wedding. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much and it was a really great experience. The hotel staff puts the client first and sees to any needs or problems you might have. The spa itself is amazing with a very high number or massages and treatments as well. The food is great and the price is excellent for such a distinguished hotel. Not a single guest had a complaint and they all said they will definitely come back again. Thank you Danubius staff for making our trip there a memorable one, one that will be talked about for years to come!

+nice view and good location -poor internet, cleaning ladies coming in the room without knocking, old fashioned rooms, unhelpful and unfriendly personnel. We made two separate bookings for 2 consecutive days and they couldn't manage to give us one room for the 2 night stay, we had to move to another room. All in all bad experience, wouldn't recommend, not worth the price.

Budapest itself is a lovely city and would love to go again!! The hotel itself was under renovation and so a lot of building activity was taking place(we did get warned about this beforehand). The spa and thermal baths are a great way to rewind after exploring the city in the evening. The rooms were very well furnished and just what you need. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the city. The location itself wasn't the best and it took about 30 minutes at least to get into the city centre which was a pain if you wanted to stay out later but if you wanted to relax in a beautiful green location then this is your place!!!

Great hotel. The wellness center is exceptional. Staff very friendly. Room has gorgeous views and are very clean. I loved every minute of it. And will be back again for certain. Best experience overall

it was nice the hotel; clean.the services was good.. i just hope that there is more choices of the main food. and a mini shop also close to the hotel. so far it was the best..maybe we will back someday in the near future.
