Amazingly comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff, very clean room and bar. Overall a really good hotel 5mins walk to the centre and 15mins walk from the train station. Supermarket opposite and a decent sized fridge in the room which we took advantage of.
Hotel in a great location. We visited with our dog and found the location to be great with a few parks very close by too! The hotel was modern and clean. Breakfast was great and well stocked the hot croissants were just lovely. If I were to return I would stay here in a heartbeat
Good choice if you're travelling as a family. Nice spacious rooms with all the basic things you need. The location is excellent but it´s hard to fail in such a small city. Staff is nice and eager to help you with different enquiries. Can´t say anything about hotel restaurant or brekfast since we didn't use any of them. A good feature for us was that the hotel has a small childrens´ corner where our daughter could play. Bruges is an amazing beautiful city everybody must visit at least once in their lifetime.
room was ok, but not more. it was permanent loud next and above us. OK thats because it was fully booked. But when we were there for the first time it was kind of perfect. Now it was just OK. maybe we´ll come back.
This was our third stay at the Novotel in Bruges in the last three months. Needless to say both my wife and myself enjoy the hotel - and Bruges in general - very much. Location close to the Beguinage and the St Jan Hospital make it very easy to reach every corner of the city by foot. The parking underneath the hotel is really good value and the restaurant is not top but quiet with excellent hamburgers!
This hotel is in a good central position in Bruges near to the Minnewater. Spacious rooms with large comfortable bed and seperate sofa/day bed. Bathroom with powerful shower and seperate wc. Plenty of storage and hanging space for clothes. Free safe. Good selection at breakfast of both hot and cold food. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Nice big room. Cot provided for our 1 yo. There was no bath in the bath room so had to ask for a baby bath which they brought up straight away. Toilet was separate from the sink and shower. Weirdly they provided paper cups for the tea and coffee in the room. Not great for the environment as they're not recyclable! Shampoo, shower gel and soap provided but no conditioner or body lotion. Lots of food varieties available at breakfast but no clear section/labelling for speciality diets (our daughter has a dairy allergy) Staff friendly and helpful. The children's play corner near reception would be ok for slightly older kids, there wasn't much for our 1 yo to play with. Close to all the main attractions in town and walkable to the train station. Overall a good stay and I would recommend.
Great place to stay and very helpful staff. It is a comfortable hotel with decent sized rooms. It is walk able distance from the main attractions and also provide discount cards. It is a 10 minute ride from the station.
This is a good choice if you want a reasonably priced but centrally located hotel in Bruges. It lacks the character of a more traditional hotel or b&b but is within walking distance of all the main attractions and is in a surprisingly quiet courtyard just off a noisy main street. Public areas are modern and impressive and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is a help-yourself affair and typically "continental" with a wide selection of pastries, fresh waffles, as well as cold-cuts and hot choices of bacon, tiny sausages, beans, fried potatoes, mushrooms and scrambled egg (very dry). Not very much choice of cereal or fresh fruit. Our room was adequate although the air-con didn't seem to work properly which could be a problem in the Summer and the plumbing wasn't great in that it took ages for water to drain away and the water temperature in the shower had a mind of its own. Very comfortable bed though and very quiet room with no disturbances. Slightly erratic re-stocking of toiletries, tea and milk - only two teabags to share between us, no milk provided at all on the second day and only one small bottle of water on day one and day two, then nothing for the following two days. There is a mini-fridge though so we just bought our own and used that. The public bus from the station only takes 10 mins but can't drop you outside the hotel. It stops just outside the Church of Our Lady which is only a few minutes walk. Positives: very friendly, charming staff, good central location, quiet. Outdoor swimming pool, although we didn't use it. Negatives: rooms a bit jaded and need updating, poor shower, poor air-con, erratic stocking of 'extras', very prompt closing of breakfast (info says breakfast is till 9.30am on weekdays, but anyone coming down for 9.30am found that everything was actually cleared away on the dot of 9.30am.) Limited choice in the restaurant which also closes at 10pm prompt if you arrive late and need something to eat. I would still say this is a good choice for a reasonably priced hotel in the historic centre of Bruges but maybe not up to the same modern standard as some other Novotels.
We stayed at this property for a family citytrip. The hotel is conveniently located in the centrum of Bruges, within 5 to 10 minutes walk of most attractions. It is accross the IBIS and has a public garage below. Beware that the garage can be full in the WE and then you need to find a (expensive) parking place outside. The hotel has a modern decor with typical Novotel style rooms but well furnished with a flatscreen TV.We received a top (4th) floor room with view over the city (see picture). The bathroom with bath was also nice. We had dinner and breakfast. Nothing special here but OK. Noteworthy is that the hotel has a small garden with swimming pool and children playgroung which was a pleasant surprise. Globally a good price/quality
