We arrived around lunch time and were able to check in early. We had adjoining rooms and they allowed us to keep one room which enabled us to leave our bags until late afternoon on check out day which was much appreciated. Rooms were clean and plainly decorated. Bathroom was huge! It needed some remedial decoration. Breakfast was ok. All in all good hotel nothing special location was ideal. Just a short walk to the main square. Bruges was a delightful to visit even though the weather was not kind to us.
Rooms basic but ok. Bathroom in need of some work. We told reception we had 3 light bulbs out and the TV remote didn't work but nothing was done about it. Breakfast was very basic, on 2 mornings there was a member of staff that topped the juices up, but didn't acknowledged the customers at all, on the 3rd morning there was no staff whatsoever and reduced items available. Main restaurant was closed on nye as we're a lot of bars and restaurants in brugge. Think the hotel was over priced for what it offered.
We booked 10 rooms for one night at the hotel as our "rent-a-crowd" had never seen the Christmas Market. It was very close to the Markets, which was a real bonus. The rooms were very clean, and breakfast was adequate. The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to eat in the restaurant, but the word is that it was very good. As we all enjoyed the whole experience of Bruges, we have reserved 10 rooms, this time for 2 nights. So if you are looking for a great located, reasonably priced hotel, the we all recommend Hotel 't Zand
Just got back from a short weakened break to Bruges with my brother and sisters, and we stayed at the hotel T sand for one night. Have to say it was a perfect location very close to all the sightseeing attractions and with a underground car park close by. The hotel is basic but absolutely perfect for a short stay and had everything we needed. The breakfast which was included was really good and great to set you up for the day.also the breakfast room overlook the t sand square so nice to look out on although there was some building work being done in the square it wasn't a problem. Staff at the hotel all very nice and helpful. I think it would be fair to say it is a basic no frills hotel but was clean and tidy, and was ideal for a short break to enjoy the Christmas market. None of us had a bad word to say about the place despite some unfavourable reviews and we would not hesitate to stay here again when we come back next year.
Booked 2 rooms for one night. Both of our rooms were good, clean and had everything you need for a nights stay. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were modern, and the water hot. WiFi worked really well. The breakfast was good, and had enough choice to satisfy us. The negatives - no English TV channels and I found it impossible to work out the light switches in the room! Nothing to detract from our stay, and I'd stay here again.
Clean right on the grand place, huge parking garage under square. Rooms clean and air conditioned. Nice terrace overlooking square. No really hot water . We were on the first floor. Very strange light switch system in rooms . Modern but too clever . We had to request from reception to understand how to turn on the room lights. Reception seems to be only manned from time to time . Slow lifts. Very convenient for concerts next door. Square is a huge building site at the moment.
This small hotel is really near the Concert hall. It is at the edge of a park and jus 15 minutes from the railway station. Reception works till 22:00 for sure and my room was clean enough. Furniture is not new. Bathroom is clean and with enough towels. You can order breakfast in the restaurant or out of the hotel. Lifts are slow. Good enough for a night or two.
located close to city center and not far from the railway station, it's a good place to stay when visiting Bruges; check-in and check-out are uncomplicated and fast; the rooms are basic and clean with a nice view; there is also a rooftop terrasse where you can sit and watch the sunset; the breakfast is basic but sufficient
Although it is located perfectly for the main square, this was not what we had expected. When we arrived there was no one at reception, even though is was mid-afternoon. After ringing the bell several times, we could see someone in the adjoining restaurant finally getting up to come to us only to walk straight into the wall as she was drunk. The rooms were ok, relatively clean but very tired and need of some serious updating.Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been really nice. Breakfast was not too bad, although a wider selection of teas would have been appreciated. I think it was overpriced for what you got and considering the construction site outside the hotel. It's one saving grace was that it was so close to the main square and restaurants. One thing to point out about Bruges is although beautiful, it is very expensive as it is aimed at tourists. We had family meet us there from Brussels and they couldn't believe the prices, so be prepared. On saying that, we had a lovely mini break.
Despite the construction work in the main square at the front of the hotel...we were not bothered by it at all and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!! We were given rooms at the back and it was peaceful all morning. Lovely cosy beds, spacious rooms, and we had a pretty view of a church spire and cobbled lane...x There were no signs of other guests so we felt like queens of the castle! Breakfast was basic but tasty...the usual Continental spread. The location is just perfect...and it's value for money. The two front desk staff we met were just so welcoming and sweet and helpful! If you want a good old fashioned night's sleep in a perfect spot and you want to go fairly budget...then this little hotel is ideal. x
