The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room is very spacious and very nicely decorated - and good breakfast also. The hotel very well located within a 5 minute walk distance to the city center. and surrounding by plenty of superb shops and restaurants.
It lived up to the reviews and we would definitely stay there again. The staff are so helpful. The breakfast is very good and the coddled eggs were perfect. I am a light sleeper but the room was very quiet.
We stayed at Hotel Prinsenhof on a New Year mini break, from 30th December to 2nd January. The greeting at check in was very friendly and we were escorted to our room very promptly. The room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. We loved the extra details - fresh fruit, bottled water, dressing gowns, slippers, blackout curtains, free WiFi and the TV with all UK channels! And, best of all, we found it to be exceptionally quiet with an undisturbed nights sleep! The hotel frontage and the main reception area were beautifully decorated for the Christmas period and it always felt cosy to return to after being in the wet and cold! All of our questions throughout the stay were answered efficiently and with a smile....all staff went the extra mile to assist. We loved our stay in Bruges and the hotel with its central / ideal location helped make it a memorable trip and one that we hope to repeat in the summer months.
Stayed here over New Year for a birthday and celebrations and it was an excellent place to stay the hotel is so friendly! The staff really are so pleasant and accommodating it’s great to see. The room was super spacious and nicely decorated, the toilet was separate and a little too small so could do with the wall knocking through to make the bathroom even larger, the hotel itself is ideally located in town with a 5 minute walk to the market square and surrounding by plenty of superb shops and restaurants. Thank you Hotel Prinsenhoff you made my mums birthday even more special!
We spent two nights in Hotel Prinsenhof and were absolutely delighted with the place. The staff were very polite and courteous. The hotel is located very close to the main square. If you like "Fairy Tale" towns, you will love Bruges. Took a bit of getting used to the "roads"around there.Sometimes felt we were strolling along a pedestrian only thoroughfare, and suprised to see motorised traffic.Still, that's "Europe" I guess. I would highly recommend Bruges and Hotel Prinsenhof
We spent three nights in Hotel Prinsenhoff Dec. 22-25th, 2017. My husband and I fell in love with this place- everything was perfect, the location (quiet but very close to the town center), the reception (warm, efficient and fast), the room (splendid with great comfort), the lovely and gourmet breakfast... The staff is wonderful, very helpful and you feel like people care about you and your well being. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends!!
We had a perfect Christmas holiday at the Hotel Prinsenhof. We checked in quite early on Christmas Eve and they had our room already ready and set with a welcome letter and fresh fruit. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the staff was so welcoming and warm. The rooms have large jacuzzi tubs and a great shower with fluffy robes and high-quality slippers. The TV is set with a huge selection of english-speaking channels (the most we've seen in a hotel). The beds are large and super comfortable. It made for an unforgettable Christmas!
My partner and I spent a wonderful couple of days at the Prinsenhof right before Christmas and had an amazing time. We chose to drive over and the directions to the hotel were excellent (Bruges isn’t a car friendly city) - we managed to find our way to the front of the hotel rather than the rear where the car park is and the hotel were great, valet parking the car while we checked in. The car park has space for 5 or 6 cars and is €22 per day (well worth it) The hotel was in full Christmas decor and looked absolutely incredible from the small touches of little Santa’s all over the place to the Christmas tree in reception. It was a wonderful place to help get us in the Christmas spirit. We had room 28 which is listed as superior - we were really impressed with the decor and the huge bed, HD tv, view onto the quiet street and fantastic bathroom. The jacuzzi bath was a nice touch and the rainfall shower was a big hit. The level of cleanliness was very good, the bathroom and room itself was spotless. Plenty of towels and a pair of slippers and bathrobe for each of us. The hotel itself provides breakfast in the morning which consists of all the things you could want - small selection of fruits, cereals, pastries, fried food and cheeses. Waffles and pancakes will be made on request which were lovely. There is champagne too if that’s your thing early in the morning. The bar in the hotel is small and has a nice personal feel to it - staffed by the receptionist during quiet times, it’s open from 10am till midnight. We didn’t see anyone else in there during our stay as the hotel was quite quiet for the week before Christmas. It is quite pricey though (particularly for non local spirits) a dark rum and coke and a Bruges zot beer cost around €16. My partner has mobility issues so we were concerned about the hotels proximity to the main square - no issues here as it’s 5 mins max walk to the centre of the city. The staff deserve a particular mention - there is a small team serving the 24 rooms and each one of them went out of their way to be friendly and pleasant at all times. From the housekeeping staff to the receptionists, Nothing was too much to ask. The fact that the owners were present and helping out too goes a long way to show the friendly nature of the hotel. It’s hard to pick fault with anything but if I had to mention something, it would be the heating in the room. It was set at a constant 26 degrees, the control didn’t seem to do a great deal so we slept with the windows open. We could have asked at reception for it to be changed but it wasn’t enough of an issue. All in all a great way to spend a couple of nights in one of Europe’s great cities. We will be back in 2018. Thanks to all those at the Prinsenhof.
A beautiful hotel. Loved the feeling of the hotel the second we walked in. We were made to feel so welcome. We needed 3 rooms & they had been so thoughtful & put us on the top floor of which there were only 3 rooms. The rooms were beautifully decorated & were really comfortable. All nice & clean - only negative was I found some toothpaste residue on the spout of the taps in the bathroom. This was the only thing we could pick up on. The bed was comfy, big. The bathroom was very well equipped & stunning. Breakfast was enjoyable. Lots of selection. Poached eggs on request, beautifully cooked. Selection of meats & cheeses, smoked salmon & shrimps, fruits & yoghurts, variety of breads & pastries. Eat as much as you like! - faultless! The staff were all so friendly & helpful, this extended to the cleaners, not just the front of house staff. The only negative we had was the heating, but we slept with the window open & it was fine!
In an already perfect town, this is the icing on the cake. Great location: just close enough to everything but still on a quiet side street. Perfect room: comfortable, quiet, and a place I would happily come back to time and time again. Great amenities: bar and breakfast could not have been better. Great service: the restaurant recommended was fantastic. You should stay here, no question.
