This was our third visit to beautiful Bruges but our first to the Prinsenhof and the first time for my two teenage daughters. We had previously stayed in the 5* Dukes Palace opposite. The Prinsenhof was outstandingly good. Beautiful rooms (superior double) with luxurious bathrooms including a generously deep jacuzzi bath, fruit, robes, smart tv ( my girls were thrilled they could watch YouTube on it) and lovely individual furnishings. The staff were some of the most helpful & welcoming i have ever experienced anywhere and even personally took us to the rooms, arranged for the double to be converted into singles for the girls and just went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is tucked away in a scenic cobbled quiet street yet yards from shops and restaurants and the market square. Fabulous breakfast with lots of choice and champagne which we indulged in on Easter Sunday. Bruges is such a stunning city, even on our third visit we loved it as much as ever & 3 days wasn't long enough! Next time we visit we will certainly book this stunning hotel were you feel more like a house guest. It really is a special place
Stayed here from Good Friday until Easter Monday, we drove from Oxfordshire in the UK (just 5 hours 15 minutes door to door!). We had really great communications from the staff with any of our pre-arrival questions. Handing the car over to be parked was so easy with access to it whenever we wanted (which we didn't until going home when it was brought around for us!). Room was absolutely perfect and immaculate as was the hotel and its location, breakfast at 20 euro's was incredibly good value with extremely high quality, fresh produce, strawberries (in season and unbelievably nice right now), fresh orange, champagne and innumerable hot items, charcuterie, fruit and pastries etc. Reception staff gave us maps and any advice that we required plus restaurant tips/reservations etc and were never imposing but quietly professional and ever helpful. A super special thank-you must go to Celine who went above and beyond for us!! All in all this will be our 'go to' hotel whenever we are in Bruges and I highly recommend it to anyone else wanting high end yet affordable lodgings in this location. 10/10.
We stayed 3 nights in April. Though very centrally located, the hotel is down a quiet side street so not noisy. The decor is sumptuous and the rooms spacious and comfortable. Our bathroom was huge (Superior double). We didn't have breakfast but walked 5 mins down the road to a wide selection of breakfast cafes. The staff are helpful and friendly and as you would expect, provide maps and advice. Not cheap but a great bolthole for a short break. We would go back which says it all.
If you're looking for a quaint, top service, clean hotel in Bruges with a great location for walking, you've found the place. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Prinsenhof. We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our 10 night Benelux trip. The room was a Superior Double Room and had a great amount of space in both the bedroom and bathroom. The bed was comfortable and super relaxing after long days of sight-seeing and walking. The front desk service was top notch and everyone was so friendly as we were coming and going. We had a rental car and experienced no troubles in reserving a parking space for it. Although the price is a little high - 22 Euro for a parking space or 40 Euro for a garage space - it was convenient to have it taken care of for us. Hotel Prinsenhof is situated perfectly for taking walks through and around Bruges. The top sights aren't more than a 10 minute walk away so it's easy to go out to the city for a bit and then take a short rest in your room, which can be refreshing. The hotel street is also quaint and quiet so it's both beautiful and conducive for a good night's rest. Next time we're in Bruges, you better believe we will be staying at Hotel Prinsenhof!
You need not look any further for a most beautiful, comfortable and welcoming hotel in Bruges! We were greeted at the curb by an outstanding, incredibly warm, friendly, kind, attentive and professional lady named Celine, who immediately voluntarily assisted with wheeling luggage into the hotel. Celine than swiftly took care of our check-in, pulled out a city map circled the main attractions and then escorted us to our room and showed and informed us of all the features in the room. We stayed two nights in room 50 ~ a most beautifully decorated, well appointed, quiet, immaculate, spacious, well lighted, perfect amount of surface space and a wonderfully comfortable king-sized bed. The bathroom included a jacuzzi tub equipped with robes and slippers. With a push of a button, you can open or close the skylight near the closet which has generous space. The breakfast buffet is advertised as luxurious and it's true ~ omlettes, coddled eggs, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, at least half a dozen cheeses, cured meats, salad ingredients, yogurt, a terrific variety of fresh fruit, fabulous bread offerings, pastries, muffins, chocolate bars, dried cereal.....All of the staff were very friendly from front desk to Els who single-handedly took care of cooking and replenishing the beautifully displayed breakfast buffet. The location was simply perfect, within walking distance to all of the main attractions. If you like windmills, be sure to take a walk to the four picturesque windmills about a 30 minute walk from the hotel. Highly recommend a Lebanese restaurant called Amon ~ sooo delicious that we had to return for a second dinner ~ between the two nights, I had the Lebanese Tajine and the Chicken Tajine. My husband had the Amon Tajine both nights.
Couldn't fault anything about this hotel, stylish rooms, great breakfast, helpful staff, immaculate bathroom, lovely comfy bed and lots of extra touches like an evening turndown service with chocolates on pillows, fresh fruit, robes and slippers and champagne to start the day if you wish! The only thing I would say is that you may like to ask for a room inside the hotel if you don't want to be outside in the newer annex. We were given one of these but my husband decided that despite it being a really nice room he felt like we were in a motel with cars parked right outside the window! On asking to change they very graciously found us an equally excellent internal room on the first floor. Great location only a few steps to main shopping area, other attractions and restaurants all within easy walking distance, lots of cobbles, so comfy shoes needed! Highly recommend, and would definitely return when next in Bruges.
We have just spent three nights at the Prinsenhof, what a fabulous hotel. The staff were friendly and smiling and always ready to answer any queries . Our room was comfortable and clean with little touches such as the fruit bowl that was replenished every day. The breakfast was superb, who can say no to smoked salmon and champagne. Situated in a quiet side street but only a few minutes walk from restaurants and shops. I would highly reccomend this hotel.
We had two rooms for our family and both were charming, spacious and well stocked. A machine for cocoa/tea/coffee, extra blankets and pillows, beautiful jacuzzi tub, nice bath products, comfy robes and slippers, solid wifi...everything you might need, they've thought of it. The breakfast was pricey ($22 euros) but it was wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful with tips and directions and any information about the town and travel options. We felt very spoiled at this lovely hotel and only regret that we could not extend our trip for a second night.
Had a fantastic 3 night stay here. The hotel was immaculate with a great central location within Brugges. The staff were friendly and attentive and always helpful and welcoming throughout our whole stay. Our superior room was just lovely and the champagne breakfast was a great extra to get our day off to a relaxed start. I would definitely recommend staying here and if I ever return to Brugges I would be booking here to stay again! Thank you!
