We only stayed here for 2 nights but it was lovely. It gave me the feeling of a family home, really welcoming and warm, not like the big modern type of hotels that make you feel quite anonymous. The room was very spacious and had a lovely decoration. Nice and clean bathroom as well. The staff was helpful and the location is really central. I would definitely recommend it!
We stayed in this hotel with our Granddaughter, for a pre-Christmas treat. The hotel was very clean, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The location was great, right in the centre of town. Although not a luxury hotel, it was cosy and comfortable, and we enjoyed ourselves.
This was a very good hotel in a great location to walk to all the sights. We walked from the midi train station to the hotel on arrival it took around 15 min please note if you are using a case on wheels do not attempt this because of the cobbles the staff were very helpful the also gave us a quick guide to Bruges on arrival. The staff carried the case to our room The room was clean and tidy the room did have a draft comming through the side and under the door which was cold at this time of year. However this was just a minor problem however it was on the 3rd floor please if you are put on this floor please ensure you are fit and well to climb the stairs my wife and I are so no problems We could have hot drinks when needed free of charge. free WiFi which was great face timed my children every night. UK BBC on TV. Breakfast top notch scrambled eggs, bacon on toast and a very large continental selection self service eat as much as you want to start your day off. Too cold to eat out side however this court yard would be a great in the summer a lovely location outside with a small bird Avery The bath water was scorching brilliant to rewarm in after a cold day out. For the price and location it was well worth the money Would give a good recommendation for this hotel i would use again some small improvements needed in some areas however well worth it
Great central location, walking distance to everything you will want to see. Room was cosy and comfortable. Enjoyed the balcony. Free tea and coffee for guests. Staff were pleasant. Overall would recommend.
This gem of a hotel is in the middle of Brugge. The whole city can be covered on foot and this hotel is a nice place to start. Excellent breakfast with coffee and hot chocolate available round the clock. Rooms are cozy and music themed. The garden facing rooms are particularly nice.
We visited here a few weeks ago and found it to be a great base, located just south of the square (5 mins walk) and main shopping area (although nothing’s really far in Bruges). The place it’s self is full of character and our room was clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful offering advice on the surrounding area and gifted us with a map showing us how to get to the best areas, they even helped me out with a cold compress when I sprained my ankle), be careful on those cobbles ;) As for the breakfast I can’t say as we didn’t have it but the free tea, coffees etc were very nice and the small dining room was very clean and looked a nice place to relax. The location was really good located just off the main road up from the train station (about 15 minutes slow stroll). If you do walk up from the satiation pop into the little pub on the left when you smell the wood fire (excellent). Right out side and pretty impossible to miss is St. Salvatore’s cathedral which is very impressive and well worth a look round, if only for the impressive architecture etc. All in all I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.
Just had a long weekend in Bruges and stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Het Gheestelic. The hotel is in a great location, close to everything and a 15 minute walk from the train station, how most people it seems get to Bruges. Check-in was very easy, and the gentleman checking us in was very friendly and informative. Our room (the one with the Elvis picture!) was MUCH bigger than I was expecting, and overlooked the street below, which was charming. Our booking came with breakfast, which I would class as a good continental. The drawbacks I have about the hotel (and I say this reluctantly as the hotel really is great value for money!), our mattress was badly sagging on one side, which made it uncomfortable and unsupportive. The bathroom is very cold, it has a manual heater in it, and the toilet is positioned in a place under a tiled overhead beam that I hit my head off on countless occasions (I get it's an old building...but!). There were two safety boxes in our room, neither worked, we even asked! The wifi didn't work in our room particularly well either, and you do hear guests walking in the corridors early in the morning. Like I said, overall we were delighted with the place, and we would recommend it, but it definitely has some 'quirks', which overall we didn't mind too much.
We had one night planned for Bruge and chose this hotel. We had a spacious room that was very comfortable and well presented The hotel is full of character and in a great location. The staff were welcoming and helpful and made our stay very comfortable. We wished we had planned to stay longer. This is a comfortable clean hotel ideLl6Located for sight seeing and close to restaurants and parking. Really worth visiting and I would have no hesitation recommending it. A great place to stay and enjoy Bruge.
Beautiful hotel centrally located. Rooms were large and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful during the whole stay. I would recommend this to anyone - made our weekend break perfect. Dining room with free tea and coffee at any time was ideal and very welcome.
Brilliant view from our room. Rooms clean and tidy with all the amenities. Hotel is close to everything in the area, the quick run through of the map when checking in with a short walk and what to see was very helpful. Friendly and courteous staff and beautifully decorated for Christmas.
