We arrived before the check in time and were able to go to our room which was julio Iglesias. It was a large room which had a door to the lovely seated garden area. The bathroom was a good size too. In terms of location to the square and other places absolutely perfect. I would happily stay again. Warning though, it is right next to one of the churches so if you like a long lay the bells may disturb you
We received a friendly greeting upon check in along with helpful recommendations of what to see and where to eat. The room was large and adequate. We did not partake in the breakfast offered, but it looked tasty. I appreciated that there was free coffee and tea available 24/7. The location of the hotel was perfect! We would definitely stay here again if visiting Bruges.
The staff here are so attentive. They let us store our bags and gave us excellent advice on arrival. There was free tea, coffee and biscuits in dining room or beautiful garden. I loved sitting out there chatting to the pet parrot! The room was large and clean. Nothing luxury, but very comfortable. The view was incredible and it was lovely to stay in a historic building. The location could not be any better. Very central. The best part was the breakfast. Gorgeous pastries and bread, lovely fruit and juices, plus bacon and eggs. Could not fault the place. I loved it here and want to stay again.
a historical nice building, very nice owners. the room was big enough, there was a refrigerator in the room. breakfast was quite good. location is super. and it is great that you can always have a cup of coffee or tea in the dining room. there is also a very nice terrace. loved this hotel!
Lovely hotel, the front desk lady was so welcoming and gave us all the right info for the best places to eat and visit. The room was clean and spacious with a mini bar and a big bathroom. They have a beautiful garden in the back and they are close to everything. Recommended
This property is amazing. The hotel looks wonderful on the outside. Inside, you will find very friendly staff. Rooms were very big and comfortable. Then, there is an inside patio where you can have breakfast or even a coffee for free. If you go to Brugge you must stay here
Booked this hotel just for one night during a citybreak in Brugge, we decide to book it because the location is very central town and the price but the surprise begins when we got in. The hotel is a 3 stars, the building is close to the near church and repet the style outside instead inside the forniture and the rooms furnishings are beautiful, well kept and well chosen
Booked this hotel for it's location 5 mins walk from the square. I had emailed the hotel twice to ask for a room with few stairs as many old building have narrow steep stair cases and to check the parking facilities. Both email were answered within a few hours. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had a room just off reception, Although many busses pass the windows there were no noise issues. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful, hot and cold options. The outside area was amazing, like a fairy grotto, Still decked out in christmas decorations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to expierence the belgian hospitality. I loved the piped music in reception. I've never heard leonard cohen on piped music before. Loved everything!! A good tip is to take the owner advice and try the resteraunts he recommended.
We were greeted with horse heads on our pillows (albeit chocolate ones not a scene from Goodfellas) and Italian singer Ramazotti above our bed. Our room was located next to the garden terrace, it was super clean and had every amenity we needed. Gheestelic Hof has super friendly staff who helped us plot out an itinerary on our first night and recommended places to eat and points of interest. The hotel is brilliantly positioned for sight-seeing and we loved our stay. A brilliant hotel in beautiful Bruges would definitely visit again.
This stay was okay. We stayed in a room on the third floor which had one king bed and a pull out single sofa. The bathroom was clean yet the floors had so much dust in the corners. Also when pulling out the sofa it was quite evident it may not have been used (or cleaned) in quite some time. It was extremely windy out in the morning and felt like the third floor was going to be taken away with the wind, which was actually kind of cool. The hotel is very narrow and small, long walk to third floor and many of the lights were not on to help lead one there. I think with a bit of serious spring cleaning and some updating or clearing out of unnecessary pieces in hallways, it could have a brighter look. On the plus side, the owners are lovely and the location is super close to center - a nice walk down historical streets.
