Hotel Albert I3.0 out of 5.0

This hotel is in easy walking distance of the Bruges station and is a short 15 minute walk from the centre. The room although small (which is quite typical of many hotels in Europe) was comfortable and clean. The washroom was spotless and actually quite spacious with ample counter space to place all your toiletries. The breakfast was fine (although there was no toast) and the staff, in particular, the manageress, were friendly and very helpful. Although we didn't use it, the hotel also has a sitting lounge where you can relax. Good value.
Great hotel, good position near to railway/bus station yet also just a short walk to central Bruge squares and main attractions. Comfortable room all the expected facilities and friendly and helpful staff.
Perfectly situated hotel for the sights, around 10 minute stroll from the main square along shop-lined streets. The only down side for me was the room. Whilst it was clean and comfortable with a small but well laid out bathroom, room 1 was right next to reception with a bus terminus just outside and construction work down the street, all of which meant my stay was rather noisy. There's no kettle in the room, but you can get tea and coffee with breakfast which is plentiful - cereals, meat, cheese, fruit and pastries. I'd definitely stay in the hotel again, but would request a rear-facing room on a higher floor.
The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from all the major attractions. There is a lot of road work going on at the moment but we were not inconvenienced by noise at all ( although we had specifically asked for rooms at the rear of the hotel which probably helped) As others have mentioned there is no lift, but we were offered help with our luggage. The rooms are small, but spotlessly clean and really comfortable beds. Good continental breakfast and the lady serving was extremely pleasant and helpful. Likewise Christoph was so helpful in recommending places to eat and drink, answering questions etc etc Outstanding customer service, would definitely recommend
IFriendly staff and nice room. It is your quissential European Inn. My parents stayed across the street at the NH Hotel, which was slightly more upscale and similar to an "American" hotel (large rooms and bathroom, espresso maker in room,etc.).I chose the Albert because rooms were sold out at NH. Very happy with my choice. It was quiet, quaint and within walking distance (5 min) to the center of town.
Because of severe road and construction works this hotel was a little difficult to find. However once we had unloaded and parked in the car park opposite we were shown to a very nice room on 3rd floor. The owner and staff are pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good (continental) and overall it was excellent value for money. Just a 30 second walk to the start of the old town and plenty of bars and cafes.
Classic hotel in great location with impeccable service. Huge parking lot just steps from the hotel. Though there were repairs in front of the hotel at the time we were there and we needed to take detours, it was just a small inconvenience.
We really loved this hotel. Our room was spotless, the bed comfortable and the shower room spacious. The buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Very good location between the station and the Markt. We were able to walk easily wherever we needed. The road works are still ongoing but we did not find the noise too much as we were out most of the day. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The stairs are quite narrow and there is no lift so this would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Bruges itself is beautiful, though can be expensive to eat out. Not helped by the poor exchange rate. Best to look at reviews before going to a restaurant. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
A very good hotel, very clean, the food was good, and the personnel was very nice. The rooms are small but not uncomfortable, and we didn't heard any noise from the street, even the big machines that was doing some repairs on the street on front of the hotel. I really enjoyed the stay there.
Lovely little place close enough to the city center. Very comfortable family room. The staff were very nice especially the lady at breakfast. If you are visiting Bruges, its definitely worth considering this as your place to stay.
