This was our 2nd visit to Hotel Albert 1. We had a 4 night stay in a double room, the hotel is a credit to the owners. The rooms are lovely & clean as is the whole of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious with a wide choice to choose from. It is only a short walk from train station & also into the main square of Brugge so excellent location.
We travelled in Brugges as two couples and a 1 year baby. The stay at Albert 1 was just perfect. The staff from the reception immediately helped us with information regarding parking and they offered another room at a lower floor for easier access with the baby. Also, they were very prompt to help us with a heating issue we faced when we arrived at the hotel in the evening. Many thanks again! The room was very nice in a very specific Bruges way :-) Also, the breakfast was very good and the lady serving there was very friendly and eager to help us with whatever we needed. In conclusion, we strongly recommend it for a perfect stay in Bruges.
We stayed here last weekend for three nights. It was a really good position for all the sights and things to do in Bruges. We found the underground parking which is very near , and this was only about €10 for each 24 hours. We were welcomed to the hotel our room was clean warm and had a lovely bathroom . Also tea making facilities. The breakfast in the morning was lovely , best coffee I have had for a long time! The lady serving breakfast was lovely and I would like to say a special thank you to her, she made us so welcome. We also borrowed umbrellas as it was a bit wet! We were near to the canals , resturantes and also the lovely walk round Bruges. Would reccomend this hotel for your stay in Bruges. The main square is having alot of work done on it and when this is finished it will make this hotel even more attractive.
Lovely small hotel in Bruges. Walking distance to everything, including the train station. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Breakfasts were very good and service was excellent. Enjoyed our stay very much.
Although the hotel does not have a car park there is a public car park right opposite which is very reasonably priced. The hotel is an old building, very close to central Bruges, but has been fitted out to modern standards. The staff are all very friendly and as helpful as can be. We checked in quickly and the receptionist offered to carry our bags to our room. The room was a reasonable size, was well furnished and well equipped. The bathroom was very modern, spacious and well equipped. The bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent. We will return and recommend to friends.
Such a lovely and quaint hotel. It is a small hotel but that doesn’t stop hinder it. Rooms are bright and clean. Breakfast was nice, no hot food though, but plenty of tea coffee and hot chocolate! Only a 10 minute leisurely walk to the main square, and the same to the train station aswell. Bus stop right outside the front, but no car/bus noise could be heard from the room. We were also able to leave our luggage after check out as we had a few hours. Overall a great little hotel, in keeping with the beautiful city!
The family room with the two toilets is brilliant. The hotel is in a great location, clean, the staff are friendly and provides a delicious continental breakfast. We have stayed twice at the Albert and cannot fault it. We will be returning again.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff are very friendly and helpful, The family room was a good size as was the bathroom, all very clean and well furnished and stocked. There was a good and varied choice for breakfast. The hotel is located opposite the bus terminus (so no pretty view from the windows), but we were not disturbed by noises outside with our bedroom windows closed. It only takes an easy 5-10 minute walk to get into the old city centre, The hotel is relatively easy to get to by car, and we parked in the nearby municipal car park which cost about 9 euros per 24hrs. There will undoubtedly be prettier, more quaint areas of Bruges to stay in (although it will be interesting to see what the nearby square/plaza will look like once they've finished the building works), but this proved to be absolutely ideal for our short family trip. We would definitely intend to stay here again
What a surprise package. Think guesthouse b&b style more than motel. Very clean, comfortable and big bed. Great breakfast and a fantastic location only 5minutes from centre of old town. Excellent value. Highly recommend!
We had a pleasant stay at the Albert 1 hotel. Friendly staff and a nice clean room. The only thing that I can say is that the beds split apart. In my sleep I move around a lot and I ended up on the floor in between the beds, it was a good laugh but after that I didn't sleep as good as before because I was afraid I would move again.
