Room are OK need to upgrade the bathtubs and dressers. Pool needs to be clean. Services was good and courteous I would likely stay in hotel again if traveling in this area again. I would like the air conditioner to stay on continually instead of it turning on and off. I do u b Der stand reasoning though. There was no bugs which was nice.
To be fair, this hotel really deserves a very good rating, but I can't find myself giving it due to the cockroaches. The price is great, the rooms were clean, the staff friendly. However, there are roaches. Not a total infestation, but enough to make your skin crawl. We seen 2 in the room itself and then upon checking out, 3 hours into our drive home a cockroach came crawling up my arm!! (Gasp!!!) When we did finally arrive home to San Antonio, I thoroughly went through all of our things before I brought anything into my house and now I'm afraid I may have roaches in my Tahoe. Also it says free breakfast, but fails to mention you have to walk across to the La Quinta for breakfast. Which we really didn't mind. And the breakfast was actually pretty good. I guess with the roach problem they have, I should be glad they're not serving breakfast on site. I was very surprised they had roaches because the hotel appears to be very clean and well kept. I highly suggest they take care of the problem before they start getting horrible reviews. Its actually a very nice hotel for the price you pay. I would absolutely stay again if I was assured the bug problem had been taken care of.
Texas inn and suite was a very nice hotel. Neil and Angie had exceptional customer services. Room were very clean we felt very comfortable staying here thank you. highly recommended will stay here again 😊
Rooms have been updated, but have a musty enclosed smell. Iron was not in the room, had to wait till 0630 to pick up in the front. No breakfast was provided at all. I will not use the hotel again as the cost totally out weighed the cost.
Worst hotel ever checked in to. Room stinks. Bathroom is much worse. Towels are no better than rags. No breakfast. And to add there were people smoking and drinking on the corridor. I will no go back to this hotel even if they paid me money to stay.
The room was clean but the dispensers of shower soap, shampoo & conditioner was empty except for the shampoo. The bed was worn out on one side. It was okay in the middle. It did have a nice TV & the room was clean.
Thank you God for Texas Inn. Friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. A great Experience. I wish I would have came to this place before checking into the Deluxe Inn down the way. The Deluxe Inn is the worst place I have every stayed. Dont waste your time or money at that place.
Nice clean room. Staff was very pleasant. Housekeeping was excellent. Large flat screen tv with free HBO and adequate channels. Free WIFI. Comfortable beds. Tile floors, no nasty carpet. Whataburger next door.
This place was very unfriendly and a horrible experience. Mind you I have stayed here in the past, about 2 years ago. It was fine then, but now everyone should absolutely stay away. We had bugs in the bed, the bed sheets need to be washed in Clorox several times to get the yellowish tint out of the cotton. Same go for those items that they passed off as towels. No Soap, Shampoo and TP. Several lights were non-functional. But most of all the manager was an absolute nightmare. The front clerk tried and I felt sorry for her. Small town and jobs are hard to come by, otherwise I don't think she would have stuck around to listen this person.
We normally stay at the Quinta Inn next door (but it had no vacancy) and we used to stay here before the Quinta was built. The Texas Inn used to be a Best Western. The Texas Inn has been renovated with wood floors and new granite counters. The room was comfortable but we couldn't adjust the room temp.....the thermostat would not response. There were no blankets in the room and no pen or pads to jog down information. The complimentary breakfast was terrible. No fruit, yogurt, or orange juice. There were three cupcakes the two days we went down for breakfast. They advertise an indoor pool (we couldn't find it and there was no one at the desk to ask). They advertise a complimentary newspaper but there was none and no place to purchase one. I found a used plastic knife on the floor so I assume it was not swept. For the price, I guess the room was okay. One plus about the trip......found out they are building a Holliday Inn Express across the freeway.
