Excellent amenities! Bed is super comfy, room is well appointed and with a good size, breakfast is abaolutely excellent and good value for money! Walking time to CBD is app 25 min. The roof top bar was not opened during our stay, it is a pity that the hotel opens it only on Friday and Sunday.
Spent the night here with my wife to celebrate my birthday. The front desk staff where very friendly and helpful with any questions we had for them. However for a 4 and a half star hotel was a bit underwhelmed once arrived at the room. It looked very tired and dated and could probably do with a revamp to match the amazing foyer you first walk into. Not bad but nothing spectacular.
Unfortunately we only got to stay one night but will be back for a longer stay. We had booked the accommodation as we were attending a wedding at the Hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were really friendly, room was lovely, fresh and clean. We were given a 12pm check out which was much appreciated. We will be booking a mini break here soon. Everything about the hotel is first class. Love that they still turn down your bed, draw the curtains and leave a chocolate on your pillow. Nicely done.
Great hotel, reviews were excellent and they were right. The staff were first class, free parking, great food in the restaurant (we just had room service but the food was from the restaurant and was top quality). Wonderful pool, all the amenities. We walked over the Storey Bridge into Brisbane and had a ball. You are close to the free water taxi too. There is a hotel nearby but not to our taste. Too cavernous and noisy. Suit younger people.... Dont forget - all closes early in Brisbane. Order food in restaurants before 9.00 pm. We very much enjoyed the hotel, clean, nice outlook and a rooftop bar with the best view in town. Not open on the night we were there though but reminded me of Ink48 in NYC. Out of the main area + tallest building in vicinity + rooftop bar = best night time views around.
We stayed back in September for a night before flying home. The hotel and rooms were a pleasant surprise after a day on the road and good vaule. The view of the story bridge from our room was fantastic. The front desk helped us drop the hire car back and sorted a taxi for us the following morning. Thanks again and we'll be back when in Brisbane next.
Comfortable beds, good size and well laid out bathrooms. Great location if you don't need to be in the city. (just outside city centre) Check-in/out was quick. Access to the hotel from street as a pedestrian is not great - bit uninviting, designed for car access in mind only. Elevators need attention as all 3 lifts making bad scrapping sounds.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the end of a whistle stop tour of Australia. My son booked the room and it was great. Wonderful view over the River and the city. Staff were really helpful we were given a room on 7th floor which was excellent. Comfortable bed, well stocked mini bar and we were given two free drinks vouchers which we were for the Rooftop bar. Buffet breakfast was amazing we could have spent all morning in there the choice was unbelievable. Definitely recommend
After a poor stay involving issues with Minibar not being stocked correctly, car parking nightmares and a river view room overlooking at construction site the stay was topped off by the usual issues with Brisbane properties not returning room deposits in a timely manner. After two weeks I contacted the hotel who promptly sent a release to my bank with an incorrect 'authorisation code' on it (must be a hard job). I followed up with the bank who then contacted the hotel and finally the release was sorted. After providing feedback to the manager Aaron I was immediately advised 'it sounds like you won't be back so I will not be helping you with this matter'. It is unacceptable that Brisbane hotels refuse to release deposits in a timely manner, blame the banks and then when called out on it blame customers as being rude for asking to have their own money returned to them.
I stayed in a executeve room on the 9th floor. We could enjoyed breathtaking nice view from the balcony both in day and night. Room is clean and staffs are very friendly. I would like to stay here on the next occasion.
I normally stay in the CBD close to Adelaide St when I visit Brisbane however I decided to venture to The Point Hotel this time due to the excellent reviews it has received. Without a doubt the reviews are justified as it's a great Hotel. The Point is situated very close to the Storey Bridge Hotel in Kangaroo Point and has views looking out over the CBD & the Brisbane. Parking was complimentary as was free wi fi. I was upgraded upon arrival to an apartment suite with a view back over the CBD & the river. This was up on the 8th floor at the back of the Hotel in the newer part of the Hotel. This room was refurbished with a large TV, an incredibly comfortable queen bed and one of the largest bathrooms I have ever seen. The walk in shower was bigger than some rooms I've stayed in! Spacious room with a desk, large TV with most of the channels you would expect to find as well as an ample mini bar. I didn't eat at the reaturant however the bar was busy when I had a drink late one evening and the staff were always extremely pleasant especially at check in and check out. I liked the fact that it close to many cafes and restaurants which were all in walking distance as well as the fact that there was a free ferry service to the CBD. For those who are energetic and like to walk, Fortitude Valley is only 20 minutes away and New Farm a further 10 mins walk. I would recommend The Point Hotel and I will definately stay here again.
