The Point Brisbane Hotel4.5 out of 5.0

I have stayed here several times. It is always a great experience from check in to check out. I travel a lot and The Point is definitely one of my favourites. An extremely clean and tidy property with friendly and helpful staff.
Overall the hotel looks very cute and pretty, with a beautiful light touch of boutique. We had the executive suite with balcony overseeing the city. Beautiful view at night time, very comfortable bed in separate room, great bathroom with big bathtub. Even in upperclass hotels I am usually reluctant to take a bath because I have doubts about the level of cleanliness, however, here at the Point the room, the bed and the bathroom were spotless, and we enjoyed a nice clean foam bath. Staff were very lovely and professional even after our second past-midnight order of pizza ;) We are not big on breakfast, however, since everything else had been so great, we decided to have breakfast on our last morning, and it was worth every penny. We had the continental breakfast, which had several little pre-prepped yogurt/chia/fruit/muesli glasses (or you could compose your own), little smoothie shots, croissants and other pasteries, ham, cheese, nutella, jam etc, different bread options (actual bread not just that spongy toast rubbish - although they had that too), a coffee machine with several options so you could make it to your liking. I had my doubts about the location, but it turned out that it was perfect. You can catch the Cityhopper to Southbank every 30 min, and there's another little ferry to Eagle Street every 15min (til midnight). The Thornton ferry terminal is only 5 min walk from the hotel. If you are planning to go to Eat Street, you can hop on the City cat for $4.70 from the Mowbray terminal (15min) on the other side of Kangaroo Point. If you are out past midnight you can catch an Uber to the hotel and regardless of where you are in the city, it won't cost more than $10 due to the central location of the hotel.
We had a Luxury Escape package and were thrilled to be upgraded to a suite with balcony. Staff were so obliging, friendly and always with a smile. Was a tad noisy outside, but there was a lot going on. Buffet breakfast was first rate! The selection was second to none. This hotel is so close to two jetties to get the City Hopper across the other side of the river to the CBD etc. Thoroughly enjoyed mocktails etc up in The Eagles Nest, with fantastic views! Will definitely stay again. Thanks The Point for a fantastic stay before our flight home.
This was our second stay at The Point. We thought it was great the first time but this time it was superb. From the front of house staff to room service and housekeeping- all were welcoming, friendly and professional. We decided to stay an extra night at short notice and this was no trouble for the reception staff. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The standard of food and wine was excellent- food and beverage staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. Would recommend The Point always. Well done.
Our room was very comfortable and clean. We loved The Eagles Nest rooftop bar with excellent city views. The staff were most obliging and the range of breakfast choices was amazing. Sunday morning was busy but my made-to-order poached eggs arrived in less than 10 minutes. Probably the only negative was the location, not many choices for dining out within walking distance but everything else about The Point gets a big tick of approval. Definitely recommend!
Being it was our first time to Brisbane and we decided to take a stab at a Luxury Escapes offer and our hotel stay was here --- well all we can say is WOW! Iris was amazing at check in - upgraded my mum's room to a junior suite. Mine was still the norm but I loved it --- I seriously want to steal the bed! I loved it that much. Buffet breakfast was delicious, the service was even better! Not a sour face in the place. All staff were just lovely and our first night there and dinner was just delicious. Mr Chow (night manager in Lamberts) was fantastic. I'd love to name everyone but sadly my memorisation skills are lacking. I was greeted by the day manager at breakfast by my name every morning and he knew my room number off by heart! Everyone was just very lovely and accommodating. My mum's only down point was no spa in the pool area but I loved the pool myself. Its very quiet once the sun goes down (and cooler too). We even had dinner out there one evening with cocktails! What service! If I only had one little gripe, it would be that wi-fi seemed a little intermittent at times, and unfortunately due to construction going on it can be heard from wherever you stay, but the hotel cannot do anything about that. Traffic can be a bit noisy if you are on the 'freeway' side, but other then that, the positives will always win over those minor whines. And although it is a little out of the CBD (which can be a good thing) if we ever did another luxury escapes and The Point came up - we'd definitely be back for sure.
We could not fault this wonderful hotel. In the three years since our last stay we noted the quality of service, food, room standard- everything continues to be excellent. We'll stay nowhere else in Brisbane. Thank you.
Stayed for four nights. The room very comfortable, clean and light. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Easy parking. Very reasonable price given both breakfast (for two) and parking was included. Shame rooftop bar wasn’t open more often.
Room was excellent, lovely and clean, super comfy beds, even a pillow menu. We enjoyed breakfast daily which was awesome, fresh and excellent choice. Had drinks both nights, one at the bar downstairs and one night at the cocktail bar on the roof top which was just amazing with stunning views over the city. Could not fault The Point,. We loved our stay so much that we are visiting brisbane again in June and had already organised other accommodation ....... we just cancelled that and booked a room for us and another couple at The Point. Book it now you wont be dissappointed.
We had a wonderful time staying at The Point in Brisbane. It was our my first trip to see Brisbane. The staff were friendly and the whole hotel very clean and comfortable. We loved the poolside area and the breakfast was incredible with just about anything you could possibly want for breakfast! A short walk away from the ferryies made it easy to see Brisbane also. We have already decided that we will be staying here again when we return!
