Hotel is outdated and is no longer a 5 star hotel. Personnel are not very customer focused and did not go above and beyond like we have experienced at many other Marriott brand hotels. The experience was mediocre in comparison to others in the Marriott family.
We were on a trip around the world and flew in for the Bridge to Brisbane 10k and 5k. In three days we managed to take a boat to the Koala Preserve (from Southbank); take a dinner cruise on the Brisbane River (boat docks down the street from hotel); take several walks to Southbank park; go to the Springbrook N.P.; AND climb to the top of the Story Bridge. So for the Story Bridge, we managed to cruise under, walk over, run over, and climb to the top of it...
Convenient hotel with quick access to all downtown locations and sights. Generally good for business travel with OK WiFi. Only complaint is the absence of electrical outlets (there was ONE for anyone not prepared to move tables and nightstands, definitely substandard for a business hotel these days.
Great place to be loved the experience would go again and recommend for anyone that loves to play and travy
