Upon checking in the front desk staff was very quick and when I requested a cot, he had it sentnimmediatwly to our room--it was there before we got our bags from the car! We had a jacuzzi tub in the room, the room was clean. The bed seemed to make you feel like you're head was going downhill. After driving 10 hours--anything is comfortable! The new construction/renovations were good although the finishing work was not the best. You could see where paint had been oversprayed, etc.
We scored a good rate thru groupon. Staff was nice room was clean. No complaints there. Now the breakfast wasn't that good a lot of it tasted like it was left over from the day before. Location was great I would stay again.
Would have liked a better variety to choose from for breakfast....bagels, English muffins, pastries, etc.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the night while driving back home from Gulf Shores Alabama and honestly this was the nicest hotel we stayed at the entire trip! It was so reasonably priced, the lobby was updated and modern, staff was super friendly and helpful, the room was so clean, bed was comfy, microwave was in room as well. There was an indoor hot tub and pool and an outdoor patio that looked nice. The continental breakfast was delicious! Super close to I65. Is definitely a good stopping point for travelers.
This visit was a stop over on our trip from St. Pete, BL to Fishers, IN. The stay included breakfast, which was good, but the beds were way too hard.
Wingate by Wyndham in Bowling Green, KY is very budget friendly and very accommodating and we would highly recommend this hotel. We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel for our out of technicians to stay when they are in the area. I called and spoke with Julie Hayes on reserving a room for several nights for a technician and she was absolutely great with her customer service and giving us a great rate for nights needed. We definitely will be using them from now on for all of our accommodations needed!!!!
I found the staff to be very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was very good served in a neat, clean dining area. However, the room itself was "average" at best. There was no "luggage rack" to place your luggage on. Only one trash can located in the restroom and no "stopper" in the bathroom sink. These "problems" were all "minor" in nature and probably remedied after our departure. Also, room could have been a wee bit cleaner upon our arrival.
We booked this room because we are new to Wyndham rewards and wanted to book within the Wyndham family. Their were no reviews online but the price point was in line with other hotels that are usually clean, friendly, etc so we went with it. When we entered the room, we were immediately hit with the smell of smoke. This must have been a smoking room at one time and still smells of it. The carpet and bathroom floor were less than spotless and had splatters of paint or plaster from recent work, I’m assuming. The room was missing a clock, bathroom waste basket and hair dryer. When I inquired about a hair dryer, I was told they hadn’t been put back in the rooms since the remodel from sleep in to Wingate. I could come get one if I wanted to (no offer to deliver). In retrospect, it seems that possibly the remodel wasn’t quite complete? If so, I would have expected some disclosure about the “work in progress” and perhaps a lower rate during the transition? It just didn’t live up to my expectations for a hotel in that price range.
I have been a Wyndham member forever and pleased to find a Wingate at our halfway point to Florida. This hotel however should not be allowed to call itself a Wingate. This hotel is bottom of the barrel for Wyndham properties. The sloppy remodel, the obvious need for a true remodel. I am shocked Wyndham has approved of these accomodations. Very unpleasant smell of sewage as soon as you enter the lobby, front desk worker sloppy and unprofessional. We were allowed to check in early but after seeing poor level of cleanliness, lack of knowledgeable staff, the paint splatters, the cut corners, the bedding, missing items from room etc..we will not be returning. Thankfully there are several other Wyndham properties in Bowling Green
This was recently a Sleep Inn. Theu are renovating the rooms but not the bathrooms -- which are old and dated. The wifi is horrendous it drops in and iut all the time-- used cell data which was strong and faster. The workers for the remodel stay here and track dirt throughout while drinking beer, sitting in hallways talking im foreign languages in loud voices. The more beers- the louder they become. Pool and hot tub were cool-- I asked for the hot tub to be turned up and the chief of maintanence did so immediately-- he was bery kind and helpful anf tried to keep everythinh as clean as possible. Breakfast was horrendous- tasted like frozen and out of a box. Juice is standard tasteless concentrate from the machine. Overall -- totally underwhelmed. I would NOT recommend this hotel.
