The wife and I were traveling through Kentucky and stopped overnight at the EconoLodge. Our check in experience included a free smile which is always welcome after a long drive. The room we had was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. There are a couple of restaurants across the street including a McDonald's. We opted to go towards town and ate at OT's where we had a pretty good pizza. Checkout time was also pleasant. The person behind the counter said she had just made fresh coffee and I was welcome to take a cup with me. This was a nice place with nice people.
Very clean, people were so friendly, affordable, with all the luxury of a expensive place to rest overnight. easy access from highway. nice selection of places to eat with in view. good well lit parking
3/18/17 Rm#112 Checked in 8:30 PM, dropped luggage in room and headed for Kentucky Downs Casino for some fun. Returned around 1AM. 36 deg outside. Turned on Heater, set temp midscale, and went directly to bed. Woke up at 2:15 in a pool of sweat, room was at least 90 deg inside. Temp setting rotating freely, with no effect. Finally around 4AM room & bed cooled down enough that I could get back to sleep. Got up at 8AM to get some Breakfast by 9 when it closed. Most places shut off at 10 on weekends. Checked AC unit and found there was no thermostat, just plastic knob filling hole. During checkout I handed manager(clerk) the knob and asked how could they rent a room with no working heat. Her comment was that they did not know because guests had not reported it and she was sorry. If unit was broken, I could possibly understand that excuse. However I find very hard to believe that a guest would have taken the AC unit apart, removed the Thermostat, jumpered the wires for full heat and put it back together. Perhaps the front desk should communicate with their maintenance man about the AC status. I worked in the Temp Control field 38 years. Return
Stopped on way home from Florida fishing trip. A little expensive but it was Saturday night and lots of major events going on in the area. Room was very nice, modern bed, clean, well maintained. Internet speed was maybe a little doggy but we made it. The breakfast wasn't much so we passed it up for a drive thru at McD's.
First they messed up my reservation and put us in two smoking instead of non smoking. They were supposed to be on the same floor or adjoining and were not (only 2 floors!!!!!) Then they only had one non smoking available so I told my mom we would take the smoking if not too bad. We checked out the room (only good thing was the desk person was super nice) and the smell was bad but she said we could use the spray. So against better judgement we checked in (on two separate floors and opposite ends of the building). Used the spray and it was worse than the smoke smell!!!! The kids were coughing and so was I! My mom and dad's room was non smoking but it smelled like mildew and must! Needless to say we got out as quick as we could find something that was available!!!! (Everything was booked because of a big event in town) we had to go 30 minutes back down the road to find one that had rooms available. NEVER TRY ECONO LODGE AGAIN!!!!
Midway between Ohio & Alabama after a long, tiring drive. Were a little put off by negative reviews, but the outside & pool area were clean & staff quite welcoming on a 97* day. The price was well worth the quality of the room. Advertising clearly states a Continental breakfast at this property, so I don't understand why anyone complained. First Econo Lodge we ever stayed & will return.
I stayed at this hotel at the end of a very long sight seeing drive from Florida on Memorial Day. I was searching for a place near I-65 and 31W that was also near the Franklin Anytime Fitness on 31W. I had read reviews of this hotel, and while many of the reviews were bad, the price fit my budget for location and a place to simply lay my head. Unlike other reviews I've read, the room (and complex) was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. I saw no bugs, but I wasn't necessarily looking either. I did not take advantage of the pool or the continental breakfast. I was very pleased with my stay here.
This site s a very clean, quiet, comfortable place to spend the night or for an extended stay. The breakfast was not the best. The raisins in the bran flakes were hard. The coffee was strong or old tasting. We would stay here again. Beds were very comfortable.
Was in Franklin for races at Kentucky Downs and had read reviews of all the properties nearby, This place was clean and quiet, even though on a busy road. Accommodated all my requests; nice pool too. Compared with everything else around and for the price would definitely recommend this EconoLodge.
This was okay for what we needed, which was just a place to sleep for the night. The hotel was not that clean and the wifi was weak. The breakfast has a limited selection of food. Not really worth the money, but many hotels of this type were overpriced for that area.
