Not a great motel, but for the price you really can't expect more. I made a reservation and asked for a non-smoking room but I got a smoking room. Most of the motel rooms here are smoking - like they cater to smokers or something. I should have changed rooms but I didn't and I didn't get used to the smell either. Cigarette burns all over the bedspread and burns on the bathtub --as if people sit on the toilet and smoke or something. Housekeeping showed up at 8am (way too early), I asked them to come back since I'd be gone all day, they came back late, after I'd returned. They had all day to clean the room but didn't so I just got fresh towels and sent them away. I could not check-in one minute before check-in time, I had to leave and come back. All in all the motel is just fine if you don't have another choice. If there are other hotels available when you visit, I recommend checking those first.
Convenient, comfortable and reasonable priced rooms in this Motel. Was pleased with facilities and friendly service after a long journey heading to Dallas. Very peaceful and quiet area and would certainly stay here again, if I am travelling in this area.
So I was a little worried about staying here but I have to say it really wasn't bad at all! It's not the ritz but it was clean, my shower didn't work properly but I worked around that.... the parking is weird but those were the only 2 things that I have to complain about. My room was big the bed was pretty comfortable, it was pretty clean.... yes it doesn't look good from the out side but on the inside it's not that bad.....
Second time I have stayed here. Very reasonably priced, the rooms are large and well furnished. Plenty of parking and very quiet. Good wifi, and good selection of cable channels. It is easy to get to being right on one of the highways going through Bonham.
If you want the Jesus scared into you, spend a couple of nights here bc it will give you a solid preview of what hell is like. We stayed here 2 nights for a family reunion. Upon arriving at our rooms, we discovered that the doors with littered with crickets. Dozens of them. Pest control had sprayed, causing half the little sicker to die and the other half to slowly crawl around. I appreciate them spraying, but LORD help me if it's too much for them to grab a broom and sweep the dirty carcasses away. Next, the shower- it was not very clean. Brown spots and streaks near the faucets. But a girls gotta shower, so I braved it. Btw don't bother exfoliating in the shower, bc the sandpaper-inspired towels will do that for you while you dry off. You might go ahead and ask for a few more, bc they're about the size of towels you'd find in a Barbie house. Speaking of drying off...as I was doing this the 1st morning, I noticed that the side of the toilet closest to the shower had blood splattered on it, along with some other mystery substance. BLOOD yall. I decided in my mind that something bad must have happened here. I don't even want to know how long it's been there. The shower i had just taken was now rendered useless bc I felt really unclean after seeing that. The list goes on. The bedding appeared clean, but I couldn't help but wonder what kind of tales the mattress would tell if it could talk. The curtains would not close all the way, meaning we could see out and others could see in. It also caused the sun to be in our eyes very early in the morning. The room has been repainted at some point, and they painted everything. Including the metal toilet paper holder and towel hook. The paint on both is now peeling. I was fortunate enough to miss the free breakfast, but I hear the bagels were so hard it made you wonder how many days (or weeks?) old they were. To sum it all up- please, spend the extra dolla bills and stay elsewhere. Heck, just sleep in your car. Even the ground would be cleaner (as long as you stay away from the crickets). One positive- we did catch some rare Pokemon in the parking lot, so if that's your thing then drive through and check that out. But once you get them, drive far, far away or else you might catch a rare disease too.
I was traveling and it was late at night when I found the motel. The office was closed and I had to ring a bell for the desk clerk, who finally arrived. The room was clean and comfortable so I have no complaints there. The prices are fair.
We loved it! I think this is a very nice motel with all essentials. Breakfast was good. Everything was clean and enjoyable. Parking is next to a room. Quiet and pleasant stay. There is a gas station with a mart , which has pretty much everything. I would recommend staying there.
We spent one night here the first week of December, 2015. The location was easy to find and our room was clean and comfortable. The two queen beds were very comfortable, although they were softer than we usually like. The room also had a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, two stuffed chairs and free wi-fi. The tub/shower and toilet were located in a separate wet room and the vanity had plenty of counter space for two people. There aren't many "acceptable" hotels in Bonham, but this one was the best. I would recommend it and will stay there again.
I have been staying at the America's Best Value Inn in Bonham located at 1515 Ector Rd. Bonham, TX 75418 a couple days out of the week. Me along with other workers of my company, we were planning on staying there for 6 months, only a couple days out of the week, because it was the closest hotel to our job site. Yesterday, Monday October 26, 2015, we had the company do an online reservation and we went to go pick up the room keys, the front desk man was raising his voice at me, slamming his palms on the table, and showing the worst hospitality I could have ever experienced. Weekly, the 2 workers (men) would complain to me how they were not making any money by these online hotel reservations were giving us a better rate because of how many nights we stay and how many rooms we get. I apologize WEEKLY about it but I hear the same things every week. They complained about workers cooking in the rooms and considered it SMOKING. One week, we reserved all non-smoking rooms and they ended up giving us 5 smoking rooms out of 8. As far as I know, they are not allowed to do that cause the confirmation I got in my email says that "all booking has been paid for and guaranteed." They complained to me abut how it was like giving us $20 to stay and leave because it costs $50 to clean the rooms and they were not making any money. They were making it my problem, and for all the workers, half of them didn't speak English, I was extremely frustrated every week but after the man that works in the evening was just yelling at me and continuously arguing with me, I feel that some of the employees at this hotel has to be reconsidered. I asked for receipts, that I usually get every week, and he told me that it was against there policy/contract that he could not hand me that info. I told him that I get it every week and It wasn't a problem then so why is it a problem now? Another worker walked out from the back room, I'm assuming the boss or manager (the one who usually gives me the receipts or even copies of them), and he turned to him and said that "this little girl is asking for how much the hotel gets paid and I can't give that to her". I was like EXCUSE ME? He switched up the entire story. He even had his son there in the lobby watching tv, a family that lives there just walks around the entire lobby, there is no pool as advertised, its cemented with a little garden, they tell you WHERE to park, the fridges are not cold, the fan inside the bathroom is actually a HEATER, be careful when you shower and have it on you might just pass out due to the heat! They also complained to me about how one of the rooms my workers were staying in stank up the restroom! Why would you even bring that up? I feel they do not wash the sheets, because I saw the same hole in the sheets in the same room I stayed in the last week! Check out time is 11:00 but the room service lady will kick you out at 10:30 or threaten to charge you for another night. They go through your stuff and dufflebags, because zippers that are usually zipped up when you leave the hotel are zipped open. They will only clean your room once or twice while you stay 4 nights. When we first started staying at the hotel the TV's were on mounts and we were able to pull the tv out closer, and then the next week the manager started taking them out in every room and drilled the tv to the wall instead. It was either staying here or in Sherman but now we are not going to deal with it, this is our last week staying here and were never coming back. Horrible hotel business.
We had already paid for two nights in full for a non-smoking room at this hotel. At check in the guy working at the front desk told me that they needed a $50.00 cash deposit to make sure no one smoked in our room. When I asked him why, as we already had reserved a non-smoking room, he told me rather rudely that if I didn't want to pay it then he would give me a smoking room. I paid the deposit and we went on to our room. After getting unloaded we left for dinner. While we were leaving it appeared that the hotel caters mostly to working crews, some of whom were grilling and drinking beer outside the rooms. Our room was not terribly clean but the bed was fairly comfortable. On the plus side, I was shocked to actually get the $50.00 deposit back from a different unfriendly man when we checked out.
