This was a last-minute booking, as I needed a place to stay in the area with my dog. A $100 non-refundable pet fee for a single night felt excessive, especially in a region where lodging is limited and pet-friendly options are even more scarce. I would have much preferred to spend that money in the gift shop or restaurant — to support the business in a more positive way.
The check-in process required multiple trips to the front desk, and I also had to make additional trips just to get ice, which was inconvenient.
The upstairs room itself was lovely. However, I was able to hear the downstairs guests throughout the night, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
I work in the hospitality industry and hesitated to write a review like this, but I believe honest feedback is important. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this location for a single-night stay or a family adventure
