It was nice to stay in a comfortable, clean independent motel at a decent price. We opted for a full breakfast at a diner down the road rather than the continental breakfast.

The room was clean. I never like hotel breakfasts. My major complaint was not the fault of the hotel. My room was 3 doors down from the office. At 5:30 AM several guests hung out in front of the office, talked loudly, and groaned. Evidently they groan a lot when they wake up. I was planning to get up and leave in the next 30 minutes so it didn't bother me much, but I thought it was worth reporting for people who are trying to pick a hotel.

I am mystified as to how this property has an 8.2 rating. Please don't book thinking you'll get an 8.2 room! Pros --Staff were all very kind, friendly, and helpful --Breakfast is accurately identified as continental, but was completely adequate, including GF cereal options. Breakfast was available until 10:30 am, which was nice. Cons --Rooms (our group had 2) were not clean. Both had a coating of grunge/dust on bed headboards, lamps, baseboards; the remote control and clock looked to have been handled by someone with lots of sticky gunk on their hands and were GROSS; lots of spiderwebs in corners, on lamp; stained toilets --Both rooms smelled absolutely horrible. One room smelled of old cigarette smoke, the other of I'm not sure what--mildewy, sour smell. --The refrigerators are plugged into an outlet that is operated by a switch by the door. No signage indicates this--so if you could turn your refrigerator off and not have any idea you've done so until your food is warm :-/ --Towels, while clean, were pretty threadbare, as were sheets. If you need a place to sleep, this meets the criteria and staff were very kind, but a more accurate reflection of the facility would be a 6 or 6.5 rating.

Excellent value. Full apartment features with kitchen, dining area, bedroom and living room for $100. Nearby large market. We picked up items from the market and had a delightful (inexpensive) dinner with salad, lobster bisque, and fresh bread in our quiet, peaceful apartment. Also a very nice restaurant next door if you don't want to cook. Staff friendly, room clean, bed comfortable. Only complaint is that office didn't open until 7:30 AM - so the continental breakfast was not available at 6:30 AM as stated on the Expedia website, but rather at 7:30 AM. Would definitely stay here again.
