Comforter not very thick and sheets seemed like they were pretty old

Great location and price. It's five blocks from the historic 16th Street Baptist Church.

A budget motor inn, with fully functional room facilities - fridge, microwave, TV. Location handy to interstate access. Immediate surroundings, an industrial zone, uninteresting - a 10 minute walk is required to get to any decent food establishments. The Civil Rights Institute (in the city) is just a few blocks away.

This terrible experience happened to me the second time. I booked this hotel solely because of the reason that it is close to the University of Alabama. When I checked in, the staff at the reception was extremely rude because he remembered that I wrote a bad review for them a few months back. When I complained to the owner the next morning, he was ruder saying that I should not have written a bad review for them. I experienced it two times and would not even think of booking it again. Everything is below average about this hotel other than the fact that it is close to the University of Alabama. Extremely bad experience!

Stayed in Birmingham on a Saturday night. Everything was nice. Not a fancy place but it was very comfortable. We were really only looking for a place to sleep. Mission accomplished!

This is an older hotel and the facilities look dated, but the staff is very friendly and everything is kept very clean. It’s great for the price for a short stay.

Worked well for a place just to stop for the night and shower in the morning. Was on my way to Talladega for the nascar race. Not much around the hotel to find something to eat. It is an older place. The staff was friendly. It was worth what I paid for it. The room was clean and quiet.

I booked a stay online because it was the most affordable option. The motel is located right off the highway, and would be an OK choice for the frugal traveler looking for just a place to rest their head for the night. Rather spartan accommodations with uncomfortable beds, virtually useless wi-fi, and zero frills (no hairdryer, coffee maker, etc). I'd recommend bringing your own toilet paper too, since the rooms are stocked with what seemed to be 100 grit sandpaper.

I mean it's an inexpensive hotel, you know the deal. It's just that the people that work there are extremely nice and friendly, much more than usual at this price range. Rooms aren't bad at all either.

Disappointing expected a more regular service for the price

The running of the hotel is great. The man who owns it is attentive and ready to help.

Bare bones room, but clean. Pool outside is filled in with dirt so don't plan on taking a dip. There weren't many outlets for plugging in devices either. I had to charge my phone in the bathroom.

It was a bad experience staying at this place with an extremely rude and unhelpful front desk. I ignored a number of good places away from downtown, and thought that this place will be close to a number facilities in the downtown. It was not the case. In this amount of money, I could have got a much better place. On top of that, the rudeness of the guy at the from desk was totally unacceptable. As I keep visiting Birmingham, I will always avoid staying at this place again.

Very relaxing, refrigerator and microwave in room.

You stay here and then write bad reviews. I have a thousand guests who disagree with you. It is almost as if you have an ulterior motive to try to tarnish our reputation as a decent friendly location to spend the night. It is a shame that there you are such a 'Troll' that gets a kick out of causing harm to others.
