Eggs were like rubber. Small rooms for price. Shower took a long time for hot water. Sounded like a helicopter was landing on the roof because of the exhaust fan. Toilet did not have good suchion.

We arrived between 4-5 pm on a weekday. The desk agent asked which floor we preferred, and we said 4th floor, away from the elevator. She spent a long time looking, and we ended up on 2nd floor next to the elevator. She said the hotel was full that night, and although it was psst check-in time, housekeeping had not updated the room software to show which rooms had been cleaned. There were two busloads of teens and preteens staying that night, and we had stomping over our heads until nearly midnight. That being said, it was a nice facility, with an above-average breakfast, even after the two busloads had been fed. Access is tricky, but not bad once you understand it. (For those heading East on US 280, there's a right turn for Colonnade Pkwy immediately after the I-459 off-ramp.) For the money we paid , we expected a better check-in process and a quieter room.

This was a great place to stop on our travels from Dallas to South Carolina! The hotel is very nice. The only complaint I have is that the walls are thin and you can hear the people in the room next door.

This hotel was very well managed and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Most notably the housekeeping staff on the third floor were very nice. When I come back to the area I plan to stay again.

It was nothing special. I'd probably choose a better hotel next time. The room was not the greatest. Breakfast was ok.

The room was comfortable and VERY large. The entire facility was clean. There was a very good variety for breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many of the attractions. Parking was limited.

Great front desk staff! Highly recommend this location.

We drove in late Friday night and were pleasantly surprised by the comfort--with two beds and a fold out couch, our family was able to spread out and get comfortable. The decor was very current and cute. The room quickly got cool and we were able to snuggle in for a good night's rest. Breakfast the next morning had plenty of options for everyone: greek yogurt, oatmeal, eggs, skim milk & fruit for those of us being healthy; and for everyone else: sausage, biscuits and gravy, pastries, bagels, cereal, waffles, 2% milk, juice... We left recharged and very happy as we hit the road Saturday morning!

The room was spacious and extremely clean. I arrived early and was allowed to check-in early which was great. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Great location and easy to get to. Will definitely stay here again for my next trip to Birmingham

Decent and large room. Good breakfast included. Since some constructoion is going on its was a little hard to locate it.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The suite was modern. The amenities were lacking. We'd prefer if they had an indoor pool for our children. There was only one television in the suite.. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable.

Graduation. It was just excellent. Very clean, hasslefree...

Property very clean - very efficient and helpful front desk staff. Room very clean and comfortable. Construction material apparently low budget with some minor noise problems, but otherwise, a pleasant stay. Complimentary breakfast very good with healthy choices as well as standard fare.

We visit Birmingham several times a year to visit family, and have stayed at nearly a dozen hotels. This hotel is newer than many, very clean, rooms are well laid-out, staff very friendly and helpful. Offers coffee 24 hours, decent-sized fitness center, serve-yourself breakfast. Also located near a nice place for runners/walkers to exercise, and not far from Colonnade with a variety of restaurants. Easy access to interstates and airport without being on highway. I strongly recommend this hotel, it offers great value for the price, better than other hotels in the price range in the area.

Really nice clean rooms. VERY thin walls but people seemed to be couteous. Great price and amenities

The customer service was great!! And the rooms were very nice!!!

My husband and two small children came to Birmingham to visit my family. We have a special needs child and have to carry our own food. This hotel made it easy for us with a small kitchen-like area with microwave, sink, and refrigerator and storage space in the room. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had requested a port-a-crib, however the crib we received looked old and uncomfortable, so we ended up not using it. We enjoyed the pool several days and the breakfasts, which came with our room, were great. The location is good once you find it. We missed the turn right off 459, and then had a hard time finding it in the dark. However, it is located near a shopping area call The Summit, with lots of restaurants and places to shop. It was a bit of a drive from my parent's home, however, it's the best place we've stayed at in Birmingham, and we were very pleased with our stay and will most likely stay there every time we visit.

Wow! I could not believe what a great room with such a fantastic staff was possible for what [...] found for me at my price! The location could not have been better; close to shopping, the freeway, and for me, family. I would not hesitate to recommend the SpringHill Suites Colonnade for anyone traveling to the south side of Birmingham.

Usually stay in the vicinity for the race at Talladega. We found this hotel to be alot better. It was more roomier and nicer. The breakfast was better. Restaurants were conveniently located. Not hard to get out to interstate at all. Would stay here again. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Tornado weather limited the recreation options.
