Easy to find, staff friendly and room very clean. Shower room very nice, with strong water. Car park, £7 per night. Breakfast was an added bonus. The bed was very comfy. Only downside not too many restaurant to choice from in the area.

We booked well in advance but not told about parking charges of £7 per night. We returned just after 11pm from a wedding to find our card wouldn't open the door! We only got in the outer door as someone else left as the receptionist ignored the intercom Disappointed as previous express hotels have been good .

The rooms are well fitted out for a 'comfort' grade and the included breakfast was great value covering full English and continental. A bargain at the time we booked. The only downside was water dripping on the inside of the window, probably due to very heavy rain overnight.

Stayed here before, excellent location, friendly staff with all the amenities you would need for a business step over in this area, will be staying again. On the plus side there is a very good Indian Restaurant next door, should you not wish to eat in the Hotel.

I have previously stayed at two other Holiday Inn Express and haven't been disappointed so I thought I would go to this one on my visit Crufts this year. It was another great stay, I was there for two nights and my visit was enjoyable. The room was very clean and comfortable, lovely comfy bed, great shower and the breakfast choices were fantastic. Staff were very pleasant. If I had a criticism it was that I had to pay £8 per day parking, I had no other choice but to use the hotel car park. A discount for being an IHG member would have been nice.

I stayed here for five nights whilst in business in the area. The hotel is modern and is what you expect from a Holiday Inn Express: comfortable, clean. Service from all staff was excellent, without exception, from check-in to departure. Niggles? The temperature of the room was quite warm and the air-con unit seemed to blow hot and would suddenly reset to be at 26 degrees, even though I mentioned this at reception. Not a major issue: I switched it off or opened the window. The car park is half upstairs and half downstairs, with the upstairs section having a headroom restriction making it too small for my car. Upon arrival, the downstairs carpark had a sign on the barrier stating that it was full (it wasn't, which was quickly remedied by the duty manager). On the one evening where I took the car out in the evening, it was difficult, though not impossible, to find a space downstairs. The hotel is well situated on a frequent bus route to the city centre with easy road links, too. I would have no hesitation in staying here again, if in the area.

Not all obvious where to park and I was not informed of the additional parking charges. Reception was poor. The room was however very good, excellent value. The restaurant I simply cannot recommend, several items not available from the limited menu, no healthy options and the chips were inedible. If I was less tired I would have sent it back. Breakfast was average and there is a very helpful bag available to take away fruit. Thats a great ide.

Comfortable bed, excellent curtains, nice bathroom with powerful shower. Large desk that was great to work at. Friendly and helpful staff. Would have been nice to have a mini fridge in room. Tv was great

A one night stay whilst attending an event at the NEC. As usual with holiday inn express, we found the room to be clean, with good shower, toiletries and ample towels. The reception staff were chatty and friendly. Car park is chargeable at £7 per night but reduced to £4 if you are an UHH card holder. Breakfast was 'help yourself ' , toast, croissants, yogurt and bacon etc. Unfortunately, the lady from kitchens who filled the sliced bread basket next to the toaster coughed into her blue gloved hand but then carried on handling the bread, absolutely disgraceful.

The hotel is located on the busy A45 but I could not hear the traffic in my room. There is a multi-storey car park for residents, so you will need to ask the hotel for their charges. There is a bar and they also serve food in the evening. It is a standard menu of burgers, pizza etc., however f you don't know the area this is great when turning up late. You need a key card to access the lifts/stairs so security is great. My room was spacious enough for two people and the shower was enormous. Staff were very friendly and there is free Wi-Fi.
