It is a nice brand new hotel with very comfortable rooms surrounded by garden like landscape where you can walk or bike on a paved trail around a lake and the other green parks in this large resort. It would be nice to see some water sports on this calm and clear water lake. Breakfast is great! Lunch and dinner cuisines however should need some improvements. Good job Four Points!

A Gem in Bintan

The service was outstanding especially at breakfast. The buffet is amazing even by Asian standards. There were at least 4 different types of buffets at breakfast. The chef went out of his way to accomodate dietary needs. The resort was tranquil and peaceful. The pool was stunning. The only downside is men attending conferences who sit around the pool on deck chairs smoking. Attendees also block access to new pool towels and return of used towels. The pool area should be manned to prevent this. The Spa was idyllic with serene music and wonderful fragrances.

Everything is good and top notch about this hotel. Hotel room is clean, view was great (seeing the ocean), staff is extremely friendly and helpful (even kids said that). Food - breakfast was very good too. However, as there are limited things to do in the hotel premises, family with kids will have to arrange to go out which hotel also help to arrange. However, transportation is very expensive, for example, arranging transport just to eat seafood may cost around 350,000 (rupiah). Activities outside hotel may be quite costly too, for example, the entrance fee to Safari Zoo is around 150,000 per pax, and feeding package will cost 350,000. So do remember to do your research first before going!

This was our first time at Four Points Bintan and the staff, from the front desk to the restaurant, were extremely helpful and friendly . The hotel is still not fully open so some of the facilities has to improve but overall, we had a very good time. We spent most of the time at the El Lagoi Beach Club, which was a lovely place to relax and the staff was extremely friendly. Thank you, Febry , Dimas and Jesika for the lovely service. We will come again. Rooms need to improve, as our balcony area could not be used if it rained, and the sofas were not that comfortable, but it may be due to soft opening.

The property was nice & new. Half the hotel rooms are still under construction but you don’t even realize that. The check in staff was courteous; the transportation staff, housekeeper, all exceptional. The breakfast was also amazing-good staff. The servers at the pool bar, however, should be re-trained. They were so slow, never coming for an order quickly. I decided to order 2 drinks at a time so I didn’t have to wait. They are the same servers around the pool & they make it hard to order anything as they are not around. there were around 7staff at the pool bar, all on phones/ chatting& laughing with each other. how awful will service be if the whole hotel is full? you have to beg to get your bill, so we resorted to just walking away until they chase you down for a signature. 2 incidents happened that were poorly handled. 1-my husband ordered a Moscow mule, then he commented that it tasted awful & there was not any alcohol in it. We passed it around the table & all agreed. The server came back and asked how is the drink? I said it tasted like no alcohol. Then he giggles &says we forgot. If we had said fine, was he just going to keep the extra alcohol? 2-when it rains there is not any drainage around the pool bar at all, some boards are already rotting and falling in. Worse, the tiles inside are super slippery & 4 kids fell. My kid was very badly hurt, then staff started vacuuming the water. A few more kids fell. We were offered only a milkshake for free.
