The staff were excellent and most everyone was friendly. One long term guest yelled at my children through the walls of their 1st floor dwelling however. We loved the pool and hot tub! It was wonderful and once again very clean, though the facilities could use minor repairs. In our room the prior guest left us a toy car and Oreo crumbs. The bathroom outlet in 104 wasn't functioning either, so hopefully it will be fixed soon. When we requested house keeping on the second day, they were right there. I'm not sure if they normally pass over multiple right guest or not, there was no door tag, so it was unclear. I really appreciated the breakfast and having someone to cook our waffles. Once again, the staff were amazing! Staff mentioned there are multiple cameras on the property and parking is secure. I'm not sure of the history, but we didn't have any issues during our stay. We enjoyed going to Old Settlers Days in Ferndale, visited Birch Bay State Park in Blaine, and Whatcom Falls in Bellingham. I would definitely recommend having your own form of transportation. I found the bed comfortable, but 104 was a bit noisy since we were on the main floor near the lobby.
Toilet not working Bad wi-fi Tired & dirty facilities Garbage throughout parking & in hallways
Some of the lights did not work in the room. It wasn’t that big of a deal but it’d be nice to be able to turn on lights.
I love the location ... just down the street from my daughter.
I love that it is close to where my daughter is living- within walking distance. That is the only reason I keep coming back. The breakfast is ok, mostly beads, cereals and waffles (the staff help make them).
great location and wonderful value... former Travelodge now indeoendent and still the same quality... jdp
It was really nice. The walls were a bit thin but all in all very good
We booked this hotel because all the others in town were full. It's been years since I went to a budget hotel, so I want sure wish to expect. The staff were super friendly and our room was clean and simple. The only drawback is that the hallways smelled of smoke. Thankfully our room didn't. The pool is tiny and more or less in the parking lot. But heh, it's a pool and little kids probably wouldn't mind. All in all, if you are just looking for a clean place to sleep, it's fine.
Didn't realize until we arrived that we were booked into a smoking room. It was disgusting as far as the smell, looked dirty, burn holes in bedfing, carpet and bathroom flooring. The floor sloped in the bathroom. Picked up all the noise from top floor. My clothes/luggage still stinks days after leaving. Why is this place open? Should be condemned.
