Holiday Inn Express Bellingham

We stayed one night, drawn to the pool and proximity to Bellingham. The hotel is very clean, which was great. Multiple pillows on the bed, very helpful. The pool is a bit cool, so not great for a long stay - too bad! Kids loved the breakfast. The coffee is awful for a Seattlite!

So far, I have stayed at the Bellingham Holiday Inn Express twice. it is the best deal in town. Just 5 minutes from my daughter's house. My daughter shares a room in a house with 4 recent WWU grads. Visits to her require me or our family to board elsewhere. I enjoyed my short stay that was in Lou of a Thanksgiving get together. We hiked an urban trail, had dessert at Mallards Creamery, cooked dinner in her kitchen and enjoyed a meal at Anthony 's. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and even let my daughter join me at the breakfast buffet! Buffet has good variety. I would like to see a non-dairy milk and a richer coffee offered next time, but hospitality staff was very helpful and let me come back for fruit for the road at 10 am although the signs said she quit serving at 9:30 am.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. The rate was reasonable. Located a few minutes from the interstate, also not far from downtown and Bellingham Bay.

Overall experience was very good. We were moving to new place and had to stay in motel for short period of time. Staff and location was good.

This hotel was located conveniently on Meridian Street next to shopping and some nice restaraunts. The shuttle in the morning which was Yellow Cab (affiliated with the hotel) made getting to the airport easy.

We enjoyed our night's-stay in the Holiday Inn Express Bellingham. The room was clean (especially the bathroom) and had nice decor. The linens were nice on the bed, a bit rough for the towels. The breakfast was your standard hotel continental breakfast, in a nice room in the downstairs lobby of the hotel. It was just what we needed.

We were exhausted and needed a night stay and found this Property to be lovely. Not a traditional holiday inn at all. Pleasant stay and would stay again.

I was up in Bellingham for a friend's wedding and enjoyed a pleasant and relatively hassle-free stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Only real problem I had was with a wonky toilet in my room. The staff was courteous and helpful with getting the problem solved and even offered to move me to a new room. Only recommendation I might have would be to update the operating systems on the pcs in the lobby. They're a bit outdated. I suppose that if I were actually up there for business though, I would have brought a laptop with me though. Nothing fancy about the included breakfast, but it was easily the best continental breakfast I've ever had a hotel. Usually I can't find enough things that I like to sate my appetite, but I found myself having to skip certain things that I would have like to get just because I already had to much. Really loved the complimentary breakfast!

Tucked away and a little difficult to find. Close to Mall if that's your pleasure. Far from waterfront, downtown Bleeingham and Fairhaven. Need a car. Hotel was undergoing renovations. Newly tiled bathrooms. Nice linens and comfortable beds. Very clean. Under window AC/heat unit. Thin drape lining which cannot block out light. Breakfast is nothing special. Friendly and helpful desk staff.

I have stayed in motels and hotels all over the world and this is all anybody needs in a hotel. There was a full free breakfast with bacon and eggs, a nice spa, a heated pool and a very, very complete gym. The gym was next door, but was better than any gym in any hotel that I have ever stayed at. The room had a microwave and refrigerator which is always handy and expected. There was construction in progress, but was during normal work hours so did not bother us at all. I will use Holiday Inn Express again. It was close to a lot of restaurants, a movie theater and mall.

Group of family's with young kids ear piercingly loud in pool (my 11 year old daughter who is usually being told to quiet down wanted to leave pool) Front desk was manned by what looked like a 14 year old girl who just stood there like a deer in the headlights when we asked if somone would do something g about the kids Screaming and running and jumping into hot tub with no apparent supervision. Also the beds were very hard I wanted to get my camping foam cell and the noise continued into the night kids jumping off beds slamming doors and running in halls and management did nothing

Very nice place, quiet, with great breakfast. Close to shopping and restaurants.

The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was great, and all in all it was a great value.

We had a late check-in and that went very well. The night attendant was very informative and helpful. It was easy to find with GPS but I probably would have missed it. The breakfast was very nice. Good variety and food was warm to hot. Staff was very helpful and replenishing foods constantly. We enjoyed the daffodil feilds in Mt. Vernon while we were there and some of the waterfront parks. We were treated to an exclusive steak supper at The Steak House at the Silver Reef Casino. Oh my goodness!!!

Didn't want to drive back to Seattle late, so we spent the night in Bellingham. Holiday Inn was easy to find. My kids enjoyed the pool (although small) and the hot tub. We all enjoyed the breakfast (NOT the usual cold continental spread). Over all we would stay there again. The only issue I had was that on the 2nd floor, one wing was smoking and the smell did float to the non-smoking wing.

this hotel has great breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff, and great location. we stay each trip.

Convenient location. Rooms nice and big. Breakfast was awesome. Will definitely come back!

I had originally had a non smoking room and when I got there they gave me a smoking room. I wasnt too happy but the room didnt smell too bad. The room were comfy and I would mos. def. stay there again. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was great. Pool was clean. Its a couple of blocks from the mall, costco, walmart, casino, etc.. Over all I rate it a 8.5

The staff was nice and hot breakfast was included. Eggs, pancake machine, coffee, muffins was a nice surprise. The decor was updated but the walls were not insulated and you could hear the pipes running at night. Acceptable but nothing special.

Staff was impersonal but not rude. Room temp was good. Linens were good. Large bathroom counter was enough for two women to use at once for hair and makeup with two separate outlets (not super bright lights though, I haven't been to one yet that is).Average beds firm, comfortable enough. Pillows were great. Ran out of cookies and hot (tea/cocoa) water in the evening. Breakfast was nice, several hot and cold items to choose from, although flavor was another story. Wish bathroom had a heat lamp light- but wasn't cold, took too long for mirror to defog without using a towel. Worst thing about this hotel is the parking, only a few well lit spaces, several were in complete darkness. Might make single women or Mom's nervous., Convenient location, but somewhat secluded parking lot at night. Pool is small. Got what we expected, except for the dark parking. Overall I'd give it a 3.75 out of 5.
