We were received by a very nice staff with complementary tea and local information. The rooms were nice and appropriately priced. There are many onsite restaurants, pool, and gym. Additionally, there are many stores nearby to include the bar district for those who are interested. TIP: this is a great spot for those using the metro as the closest stop is only a block away! Enjoy
Spent three nights in town for business. Next to metro station made transport easy. Very nice room on 12th floor, quiet, working A/C and very clean, too. Wifi worked perfectly and I got a good night sleep in the bed. Breakfast was also excellent!
Condition : Average as hotel is quite old. But everything functions as it should. Location GREAT. Next to station and walk to quality shops and close distance to the trendy bar street. Service: Good If you are looking for modern then this isn't for you. But if you are looking for great location then you have found it.
The aircons doesnot work, the rooms are not done, very uncourteous staff. Despite telling them 10 times the aircon not working and one has to sleep in 30 degrees, no efforts or calls done. Dont recommend it at all, they have enough business to care about normal people.
the hotel is just 50m away from the subway station, and 200m from SANLITUN BAR STREET perfect location the hotel is big and good looking from the outside and inside, kind of luxary hotel with staff taking care of your suitcase bedroom, nice with a old style which i like! bathroom big & clean, shampoo, water and towels are given everyday however, please note that everything can happen in china, police knocked my door at 10am to check my passport(what a surprise), when i checked in the hotel, the reception gave me 1 bedroom, but 30 min after we received a call with the bedroom phone, it was the receptionnist who told us they made a mistake and we have to change bedroom!!!
Yes, this hotel is a little on the chintzy, old style but is clean and well looked after. I found the staff to be excellent - to complain that they do not speak English seems silly to me as the hotel is in China, in saying that, I found many of the staff had some English. The breakfast was ok, they made a pretty good omelette, and the rooms were large and beds were comfortable. I was given a free upgrade to an executive room so I cannot speak for the others. The hotel is in a great spot for exploring Sanlitun's shops and restaurants, and I thought it was great value for money. Overall, a good stay and I would recommend the hotel.
This hotel is meant to be 4 star, maybe it was before everything become worn out, now should be 2 or 3 star. Mattress was worn out, bedding seen better days, bathroom stains and cracked, the whole place needs a refit plain and simple. wifi very slow and drops often
Stayed in this hotel during my last 3 visits to Beijing. Very good location, nice view of Beijing City, helpful staff. Hotel has Gym which is good enough for a decent workout. As it was cold season not tried the pool, not sure it is maintained. Rooms are average and needs modern touch. Specially lower level ones. Breakfast is good. Lobby has multiple restaurants including an Indian restaurant. Room has an air purifier which is good considering Beijing pollution. It was pleasant stay every time, not much to complain other than the old look and feel
Firstly the staff were very friendly indeed. Especially the doorman who worked all day and still had a smile on his face. The hotel was a little dated and could do with an update in the rooms. If you use a gym then a large fitness centre is included in the price just opposite the hotel, huge number of machines and equipment. I chose the hotel based on its location and the price was fair for the facilities included.
This hotel has some history being the first 5 star in beijing. The rooms are still ok, a bit old, but clean and very comfortable. The bed is great and Tv channels are good. Good wifi. The breakfast has a good selection of western food with an omlet chef cooking your omlet. Well located next to the sanlitun area and about 30 min from the airport, pretty easy to reach with public transport but taxi fare is only around 150 rmb on the meter.
