Great location, well maintained, reasonable rates. Large rooms. And lots of high-quality breakfast options. The members lounge has beautiful views of Beijing and is nice and bright. The service is efficient and friendly. A really great hotel choice for business or pleasure.
Highly recommended, on business or pleasure. Great breakfast and dinner options in the hotel. The health club is excellent. There are many shopping (mall across the street) and restaurant options close by. Will stay here again.
Have become my default hotel in Beijing because of its location and service. However, room upgrades for Elite members are getting hard to come by. Rooms are getting old and worn. Colour scheme does not help. Refurbished Executive Lounge was a real let down. Service remains good though
We requested and received an upgraded room due to my Marriott status. It was basically an apartment on the 24th floor with spectacular views of the financial district high rises. Probably one of if not the nicest hotel room I've experienced anywhere. We were in Beijing for sight seeing not business so the location wasn't ideal compared to a hotel like the Wangfujing Renaissance (but still doable by taxi or metro if staying closer to the historical sites isnt an option). There were a lot of business people and flight crews staying here and the executive lounge was very good. Great breakfast and dinner options as well as snacks and many drinks available throughout the day. There are many shopping (mall across tje street) and restaurant options closeby including a 7-11 right by the hotel. Highly recommended, particularly if you are coming to Beijing on business.
Great hotel, facilities and service with a smile. Third time in a month that I have stayed here. Location and view is 5 star as you might tell by the pics I have added. The gym and staff are great. And the breakfast buffet has perhaps the best pancakes in town! Of course the rooms are spacious already and then we were upgraded to a really large room 2x the size of the last time I was here. Membership has its perks!
I am a flight attendant and work for united airlines. I living in the hotel regularly for business purposes. I had wonderful experience in this hotel. Especially, the navigators, such as Chris, Kobe and Chang Liu, who work in the concierge department. They are very friendly, professional, efficient and supportive.
Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel - well located, convenient all managed with great hotel associates. Service - excellent . Polite , courteous, and willing to help. To the management - kudos to your staff . On the facilities , it’s modern , clean , and well kept. It’s location is pretty convenient to head to the forbidden city, Wangfujing and many other locations that’s a must do in Beijing. Ok, all done with the touristy stuff . Food - at the back of the hotel , there’s a great mix of restaurants, cafes , watering holes etc . The food is great , prices are decent and what’s more - tasting the local cuisine . After food , look for Xuan House Brewery . The craft beer is nice , ambience is great . Across the brewery, a good number of restaurants that you can’t go wrong. Back to the hotel , the breakfast buffet has a great spread. And a fresh fruit bar - you can mix and match what you like for the day . Their porridge section, soy drink , white fungus , white porridge , green bean porridge, Millet , etc is something to try and have seconds on. The noodles - soup or dry - ensures you’re not far from home. Eggs station - pretty big serving and is a meal on its own ! For sure , they don’t hold back their servings ! Great place and a nice place to have breakfast - at your pace. Starts early in the morning 6 oddish to 1030am. The lobby bars are nice at night ( late ) to relax. View of the area is nice but the view from the Lounge on 24th floor has superb view - one can see what it’s like on a great day and one that is foggy/ misty/ smoggy day ! Overall , recommended hotel to check in when on BJS.
In the beginning of April, we stayed at the Renaissance with my sister and her son who came to visit from the USA. Everything about the hotel was perfect. The location is great for hopping on the subway and getting around. The lounge food - fantastic and filling. The rooms were gorgeous, and the staff was so kind. We especially appreciated Chuck and all his help! THANK YOU!
I love you everything about this hotel. This hotel is conveniently located near the Beijing CBD district. It is very clean and stylishly decorated, and the beds are very comfortable! What I like the most about this hotel is the staff members working at the executive lounge. (BTW, the lounge has great view over CBD!) . I am especially adore the lounge manager Summer! She has always remembered what I need whenever I stayed here! I feel greatly appreciated for being a platinum member when I stayed at this property! Without any doubts, I’ll definitely come back again!
Nearing the end of the stay and unfortunately it wasn’t off to a good start. Room stunk of smoke so got changed to a new room. Unfortunately air conditioning didn’t work and was told this was the case across the whole hotel. I had to change room twice, and didn’t sleep until 3am. My room was 29degrees, the weather forecast was clear a week in advance that this was going to be a warm week, so didn’t understand how the hotel couldn’t prepare for this. 29degree rooms for a 5* hotel is truly unacceptable. They have since offered a solution to make up for the disaster of a first day. However, the (only saving) grace for me for this hotel was the staff I the club lounge. Every single one of them took great care of me and their attention to detail was second to none. All were friendly, but very professional and even during busy times nothing fazed the,, they would be willing to help me get a table, charge my phone, would clear my plates quickly and would top up my wine. The club lounge was consistently topped up with food. The staffs friendliness here and professional attitude, with a work ethic that is very clear means I would return on this basis alone... hope hotel management can work on the hard product (air conditioning and ensuring rooms are fully prepared for guests) but the club lounge and its staff are a true asset to this company and very much hope that the hotel recognises their hard work. I for one, am very grateful to all the staff on the 24th floor for looking after me and showing me true hospitality. Thank you
