Swissotel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Center

4.0 out of 5.0

Seems like Beijing has a a/c rule. In April the a/c are not allowed to be turned on. The room was not just a little warm, but HOT and very uncomfortable.

Clean and comfy room, nearby subway station and 7 eleven. Nice staff! Will stay again!

I appreciated the fact that this hotel was only about 50 meters to the dongsishitiao metro station. It had a high standard in general.

Yes it's rated 5 star, but because it's showing it's age and also has limited facilities, it's more like a good 4 star hotel. Rooms were good sized and clean, with good stocking of amenities, but really at a 4 star level, not 5 star, so fitting for its true rating. Right on top of MRT so also very convenient, just one stop from the airport express, but if you walk from airport express it's about 20 easy minutes

The main lobby is beautiful but we went up to the room it was a disappointed. the carpets stain and fouled odors through out hallway and inside the room. The bathroom smell like pee. The AC not cool at all even when they come and look at it. The staff is friendly.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, right in front of the subway station. Other than that, there was nothing superior to talk about. The room was just fair.

Very convenient location. Super easy access to subway (the entrance is right outside the lobby). Very close to the airport expressway, so only a short taxi ride to the airport (less than 30 minutes if traffic is normal).

The hotel meets my expectation. This is business trip and the location is at heart of the business area. It is very convenient for me.

I enjoyed the staff and amenities. Great Location. Very nice hotel

Literally steps from the Dongsishitiao subway stop, the Swissotel is convenient to the rest of Beijing. Next door is a 7-11 in case you need food/snacks. I was upgraded to an Executive Room, which was a nice surprise.. HOWEVER, I was informed later that my Executive Room was not entitled to standard Executive Room benefits, such as Exec Lounge Access! I was told that I was only getting a room upgrade but nothing else (because I didn't pay for it). Unfortunately, they decided to inform me halfway through breakfast in the Exec Lounge, which meant that I would be charged ~$32 for a basic breakfast. The front desk removed the charge but only after a loud discussion. Be warned about how thrifty the hotel is. Don't assume anything - ask first!

Convenient for subway to get around. Excellent room service and restaurants. Probably one of the best values in Beijing.

This used to be a really nice hotel, but it's starting to look dated. The rooms, the walls, carpets etc don't have the nice feel that newer hotels offer. I stay there because it's convenient and because they often have special offers going. Watch for these offers - they make it worth staying there.

I was in Beijing on business. It is one of the first five star hotels built by foreign investors in Beining so the building has a few years on it. But the hotel is clean, staff is courteous and efficient. Internet service was slow. The location is excellent for business purposes and relatively close to the airport given the challenges of Beijing traffic. Next to a Metro line.

Great location. Clean rooms. Very good gym facilities. Friendly and efficient staff. A fading lady in the landscape of shiny new hotels in Beijing, but still a great deal.

Very Nice HOTEL, Very Close to Beijing Subway just in front of the Hotel. Staff very Helpful. Food was great. in room amenities are very good quality. Highly recommend.

You can't beat the location of the Swissotel. The subway is literally right outside the door. The subway is simple to figure out too. However, the rooms are starting to show their age, and the amenities one would expect in a five star hotel are lacking, e.g., no robes, newspaper, etc. The pool is nice, and warm, but be warned that like most hotel pools in China, you can't use them without covering your hair. (even men). Ot will cost you about 150 RMB for a latex hair cover. The breakfast is OK, but overpriced, and the chefs have obviously never eaten an American breakfast in the USA.. Kudos to the staff who are all very friendly and speak enough English to make the interactions understandable. There is a Bank of China branch in the complex, as well as a medical clinic. oh, the pillows are terrible and the bed is hard, even by Chinese standards. If you will only be sleeping and be out and about all day, this is a good deal for the money.

Friendly staff and great service for the money. The room is clean and right downstairs is the subway station, where you can transfer to train to the airport. The only problem we have is that we have to find good restaurants by walking about 5-10 minutes.

Hotel was a good location. I lost my key card and the front desk did not check my id before reissuing a new key card. Pass on the breakfast buffet.

Rooms need a bit updating as it is showing age of use. Do not go to the hotel breakfast, french toast and waffles were similar to rubber.

i have a relative good experience of my staying. the location is very good. the swimming pool is not crowded at all. during my 2nd day there, some part of the hotel was under construction and i cannot rest well at all. then i talked to the front desk and they changed a nice room not in the construction wing, which is nice.
