We stayed here as part of the Gate 1 tour of China. It is a pleasant hotel with restaurants around it. They also have their own restaurant with some American as well as Chinese food. The rooms were clean and spacious and the beds and pillows comfortable.
i read a lot of reviews before settling on this hotel, i was a bit nervous.. i was expecting it to be an ok hotel. our room was great. the breakfast amazingly good. the staff helpful and friendly, true their english isn't the greatest but my mandarin is rubbish. the swimming was fantastic, cold not luke warm. there were a few small things needed attention in the room (blown light globes) fixed quickly, as was the tv. wifi worked brilliantly. air-conditioning was fabulous. i was here with my 10 year old daughter she loved it too. it is a tad far from the subway, but honestly we never had more than a 5 minute wait for a taxi. the staff couldn't have been more helpful or polite. the gym is not bad at all. i did get a 30% off with free breakfast from Accor, so i think we git a bargain. Hotel wasn't crowded because its high summer in early august and very hot in beijing but i wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. we'll be staying here again
This is now my hotel of choice for business visits to Beijing. Convenient for the office, reasonable room rates and solid, efficient service provided. The buffet breakfast sets you up well for the day.
We stayed in this hotel with our family and parents It was a comfortable stay and the location, services and ambiance was fine however the staff just could not speak a word of English. At times it was very frustrating but later I realized that the rest of Beijing had the same problem too. I am not sure if other hotels may have better English speaking staff but looks like its quite an issue in Beijing over all. This hotel is good and has a food street adjacent to it, The location is good and there are two metro stations in around 1.5km of the hotels vicinity.
That was quite a nice stay in the Mercure hotel. It locates in an overall commercial hub of the district. Earnest service, especially the front desk and housekeeping, made my trip in Beijing quite easy and cozy; yet, still, some of the furnitures and facility relevants were not such satisfactory though (The refurbishment is much-needed). The hotel serves as a recommended one in Beijing refers to its high cost-performance and warm service.
This hotel is a bit of a walk away from the city center, so I don't know if I would tell you that this hotel is great for sightseeing, however for business it worked well. It was clean, and had a good breakfast spread. The gym was tiny but worked for a quick run and a few lifting exercises. I really would say it was overall a decent time. The TV does not have many English channels, so if that is a must you would need to look elsewhere.
HOT AS BLAZES IN THE ROOM. Temperature would not go below 75° F. However you can crack the window. Now, if you don't mind warm rooms...the rest of the stay was great. Western and eastern breakfast offered. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Beautiful lobby with bar.
Good hotel for a business trip - the hotel has meeting space, a good restaurants, pleasant bar and lounge. Rooms are clean and pleasant, WiFi works well! Location is convenient to downtown. Shuttle available, short walk to subway.
A beautiful lobby Welcomed us to China after a long flight - Jason (Gate 1) took care of our check-in quickly and efficiently- rooms were spacious & clean - beds were a little hard but was good for my back - morning breakfast was incredible
Again as part of a China tour we spent 2 nights at this hotel. Is is tucked away from the main Beijing tourist areas, but frankly that suited as. The bedrooms were large, clean & fresh, with ewindows overlooking the park next door. Usual tea, coffee facilities etc, free wifi. There is a small pool, as well as an outdoor seating area, bar & coffe shop. The breakfast catered well for westeners. There was a good inroom dining menu, however if you turn right out of the vhoel, then left at the junction, walk a couple of 100 yards, cross the Road bridge, continuing walking down the Road, there is a McDonalds, if you have had enough of Chinese room.
