Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing

My wife and I always felt safe at this hotel. We walked to the Forbidden City and Tianan Square. There are a lot of little mom and pop places to eat. Of course, a Starbucks is only a few steps away from the hotel. We were only in Beijing for two days, but we were able to pack a lot of sightseeing in because everything was within walking distance.

Great location, spacious and clean rooms. Staff was welcoming. Breakfast buffet was just ok. Would definitely stay again.

Though it might not be as luxurious as its 5-Star Regent and Legendale neighbors, it compensates by delivering comparable modern accomodations at a reasonable price. Located just behind the Regent, it's as near as you can get to a subway station. Steps away from the Dengshikou subway station, it's a 10 minute walk to Wangfujing shopping center, another 5 mins to the famous street food and another 15 mins to the the Forbidden City. What was special were the small restaurants at the back of the hotel. For less than 4 US dollars, you get a decent full meal in a Chinese mom and pop diner. If you go the opposite way and cross the front street, there's a convenient store for water and sodas and a 7-11 nearby. At around 7pm, the street vendors come out selling hotdog Beijing style, diced fresh fruits and sliced meat sandwiches for about US 2 dollars. Value for money and quality, you can't go wrong at this prices. This hotel is similar to Panorama Hotel in Hongkong in terms of location and room accommodation.

Hotel staff is friendly you can go every where easyly

This is a nice, unpretentious, modern hotel in the heart of Beijing. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

One (long) block from Wangfujing, this hotel is a great value. Very modern, very clean, nice enough to invite business associates for meetings, though of course not as nice as The Regent next door, which has much more impressive lobby and meeting areas. Being a newer hotel, the room was smaller than most international 4 and 5 stars, but I'd still choose it over others because the hotel does exude "bit long in the tooth" as some others I stayed at in BJ do (e.g., Crown Plaza, Swisshotel).

We stayed here for our first time in Beijing. This hotel is in a nice area not far from the forbidden city. It is clustered with a lot of other nicer hotels with foreign guests. Make sure you have the front desk write down the hotel address in Chinese, none of the cab drivers know where this hotel is for some reason!

Park Place Beijing is a wonderful, modern facility with full amenities. From Check-In to Check-Out, the staff at the Park were courteous, helpful, and genuine in their concern for my comfort. Amazing facility, staff, and service. I highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff, especially in the breakfast time. Breakfast buffet contained both traditional Chinese and American styles food. Our whole family loves Chinese yugarts. Some dishes varieties changed everyday. We enjoyed breakfast very much. A pleasant breakfast always gave us a good start every day.

On same block as metro stop. Easy walking to Wanfujing and some hutong neighborhoods. Vcomfortable bed, nice bathroom, and clean. Also quiet room.

Beijing is a busy sprawling city. We enjoyed our time there, took a guided tour to the main sightseeing places and enjoyed the shopping close to the hotel. We had drinks and dinner at the hotel bar, quite good.

Very good! They accomidate do us and more.. Good service. Concierge was very helpful and complimentary taxi to the airport..

Of course not as luxurious as The Regent. But very comfortable. The breakfast is adequate. The Club was so-so, but good for meetings. Food at the restaurant is not the best but edible. Actually, there are many restaurants in the hutong nearby, and great food there...and much cheaper. For a spartan Southeast Asian dinner at the hotel, one can get a feast in the restaurants nearby! But at the Regent, it'll be the cost of three teas! Watch the prices! I'd go back to this hotel...no problems here.

Good location nearby to Wanfujiang district walkable to shopping and restaurants. Very comfortable by western standards. Ample room for a center-city hotel. Breakfast is overpriced. Staff are responsive but not overly friendly.

We arrived after midnight and were told the hotel was full, even though we had pre-paid for our 3-night reservation. I started to protest, but was quickly told that we would stay next door in the 5-star Regent Hotel for the first night and be given free breakfasts for our stay and I think that was fair. The room at the Regent was huge, but no more comfortable than the Park Plaza, which has attractive, updated rooms and nice baths with granite counters, etc. I highly recommend staying at the Park Plaza, it is located right next to a subway station providing easy access to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden Palace and within walking distance to shopping and the Wangfuging night market, which is disgusting (fried scorpians, seahorses, etc.) but something to see.

Fantastic hotel for price. Clean with excellent service. Location great. Next to subway station. Starbucks across the street. Many excellent hotels and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend this hotel to travellers from the US. I will stay in this hotel if I visit Beijing again.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. The room was rather large and comfortable. The room was also very clean and the staff was really nice. Overall, a great value compared with what we got. What we really loved about this place was that it was super close to a subway station and wasn't too far of a walk to various sights. A night market with street food was maybe a mile away, and the in the area were fun to explore. When we get the chance to go back to Beijing, we'd happily stay here again.

Nice, neat and clean. Excellent staff, good food. Located very centrally, walking distance to The Forbidden City. Highly recommend it!

This is my favorite downtown Beijing hotel that has all that I want for a visit to this city. The hotel caters to both foreign and Chinese clientele but is kept very clean and orderly. The staff is excellent and conducts all communication in clear English. The breakfasts are filling and well-prepared appealing to both Asian and Western tastes. I find that the location (which is 100 meters from the Denshikou line 5 metro stop) cannot be more convenient for easy travel around the city. I have used this hotel 4 times now and I plan to use it in the future. Keep up the excellent work.

Spent 4 nights at this hotel and found it to be a great home base while in Beijing. There is a subway stop super close by which made getting to everything we wanted to see very convenient. The room itself was really nice, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked, the bathroom was really clean. The staff was friendly and spoke good english. I thought that for what we got, this place was a great value. If I'm ever back in Beijing again, I would have no problem staying here.
