Generally, I do not have high expectations for Chinese hotels. They tend to be smoky, worn, and have staff that are not well-versed in English and generally not service oriented. However, Pangu 7 Star simply blew me away. The hotel was lovely on all counts. The room was outstanding, the pool and workout centre was world-class, the staff was amazing, and the breakfast was fantastic. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Beijing for work or play -it is right across the street from the Olympic village.
Stayed for four days which were very comfortable. Little language problem but manageable .located close to Olympic Park.big rooms and very comfortable. All requirements available in style.chinese art well displayed . breakfast very fulfilling. Service very prompt. Helping staff.wenqi is good place to eat with lot of Asian options.Happiniss lounge is well stocked bar with happy hour facility. A very nice experience.
I stayed for three days at this excellent hotel while attending a conference. The hotel itself is superb with generous sized rooms and prompt room service. They are also very accommodating, I had to leave to airport before breakfast opened, they made sure that I was served prior to my departure. The not so good things: it is in the middle of the Olympic park and there is not much else around. The pool and gym are great, but there is no sauna.
It is a grand hotel with concept of western comfort incorporate eastern art and culture. Huge room size, good amenities and a great hymn room. Breakfast is good with lots of choices Must stay again in next trip to Beijing
Really first class feeling, attention to all details - excellent bedding, china, food, interior, furniture, stuff, very clean, would love to stay there again. Bathroom just piece of art. Highly recommend!
Calling itself 7 stars is just setting up for failure. Being outside tripadvisor's top 100 is an indication. Been to beijing many times, but 1st time staying here There are 3 identical buildings, but only the 1st one is the hotel. The others are office building and apartment. The lobby looks quite grand, but smaller than what i would expect The room is very large and thankfully not as tacky as i feared. But it certainly doesn't have the finesse of a park hyatt, st regis or ritz carlton. It does have aqua di parma toiletries and evian water. And the wifi can break the firewall and lets you access facebook. The pillows fail though as they're virtually flat. And the fluffy towels don't absorb water well They have an expensive chinese restaurant, as well as 2 buffet restaurants. Wrote a seperate review for 1 of them The indoor pool looks nice. The gym is ok, but with no AC Overall , a nice effort for a chinese brand hotel, probably 4.5 stars. Not 7
Hotel is unbelievable quality and super great service. Rooms are fantastic and high quality. Seafood is fresh caught and delicious. A bit expensive but is it luxury level. Easy access from city to travel elsewhere.
Got a huge room right in front of the Olympic Cube! Really enjoyed the light show of the Cube at night. Early mornings were spent running around the Bird's Nest and Cube, both iconic landmarks! Room was grand with high ceilings and lots of Gold appointments. Too bad hotel staff can't speak English very well. Restaurant at the top floors were okay. If you're wanting to be near the Olympic Venue, no other hotel is better than this!
This is a five start hotel. But it's location somewhat far from tourist attractions, and near the international convention center, makes it a business hotel. But it doesn't have a business center?! What it does have is the best indoor swimming pool I've ever enjoyed, as well as one of the best breakfast and lunch buffets I've had in China. The rooms are really good as well.
Firstly, this is definitely not a seven star hotel. I'm actually curious how they got the seven star rating. It's at most a 4-5 star hotel. The service was good. Lobby was pretty nice except that the fountain at the driveway was pathetic. It was small and poorly made. The corridor had a slight unpleasant smell. We got a junior suite room. The room was really big about 60 square meter. But somehow the room didn't really feel expensive. Tv was really small and far away from the bed. The fittings in the room was not exactly made of luxurious materials, feels kinda cheap. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There wasn't any luggage rack in the room so we asked for two to be sent up to the room. But none came. So we had our luggages on the room till we checked out. Breakfast was very good. There was a great varieties of cold and hot food. I liked the breakfast buffet. The indoor pool was nice with helpful staffs attending to us. Location of the hotel is really far away from city center. So it's not advisable to stay here if most of your activities are around the city center. Overall an okay hotel but definitely not seven star. I would rather spend the money on other better hotels.
