This hotel is a good trip for those traveling on a budget that don't eat breakfast at the hotel. The rooms are ok the A/C works, internet is good. But it is really about the location right behind the Kempinski and the Four Seasons.
I stayed with my group and find Breakfast is delicious and lavish. Hotel is in prime location. you can find mall and snack bar easily and just on walking distance. All amenities and ambiance are good. Staff are cooperative and good behavior.
If your on a low budget and you want a decent room with good wifi connectivity, then FX is a cheap & neat option. The rooms are clean, wifi is good, room service is good, so would surely consider it for future trips.
The quality of services and rooms is recently decreased, but still one of the more suitable option if you are looking for a quite and cozy stay in Beijing. Close to a subway station, few minutes to get in Sanlitun, nearby the Third ring...
Breakfast was really good! The room was nice, soft matress and we had our own desk. The bathroom is a bit weird because there are some curtains that separate the beds from the shower. I think that a lot of weird things happen in this hotel, but besides that we had a really nice stay!
The FX Hotel Yansha is a new hotel in Beijing, located in a popular area for shopping, restaurants, and a short walk from the metro. The room size was fine, but a bit awkward as their was a glass wall between the shower and the rest of the bedroom; there also wasn't a door for the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. We found the whole hotel damp. We've stayed in worst hotels. Breakfast costs 35 Yuan per person. There was plenty of options, but the tables were not clean, therefore not a lot of sitting space. People smoke in the building, everywhere (there are no laws against it). We also received several prostitute business cards through our door late at night.
we were in this hotel for 2 nights from 30th April-1st May. it is a very budget hotel and not even close to a 3* category but they take pride in calling it a local 4* hotel. The hotel lobby and rooms are very average and though it is centrally air-conditioned it was put off and there was no ventilation in the hotel which made us very uncomfortable. When we spoke regarding this with the manager he told us that it is a government order and they cannot put the air condition on, this was a surprising shock for me as i have never heard anything like this in my life. They say it is a 4* hotel but it did not even have dishes for the guest, we had requested some dishes in the room to eat snacks but the room service said it is helpless as the hotel does not have any for the guests, it is only provided in the small restaurant in the hotel while having breakfast or meals. the only good thing about the hotel was its location and proximity to shopping area.
Absolutely nothing special about this hotel at all.... It's on a back-street with lots of run down and disused shops and properties and looks quite sad from the outside. The rooms were ok... Bed was a reasonable size but quite 'compact' and fixtures and fittings were 'wobbly' i.e. not the best quality. As a note... some of the rooms don't even have windows and the Air-conditioning is noisy... The breakfast was terrible and rarely had much food left... and almost never had cups, cutlery or glasses. BUT to be fair this is probably due to the organised tour we were with and the 'canteen' obviously could not cope with more than 30 people wanting to have breakfast at the same time. Which for a supposed Hotel is also a bad sign... The 'coupon' based entry to get your breakfast is also a sign of lack of trust in hotel guests... why not just check the room nr and/or room key like most other hotels in the world ?? Hotel staff don't speak English so might be a problem for some... It's China after-all so why should they ;-) The location of the hotel is ok... North-East of Beijing City centre and only takes about 20 min to get into the centre by Taxi (Without No Traffic of course). I may be a bit harsh with the rating but it really is the worst hotel I have stayed in for many years. Even a very basic Travelodge or IBIS is better....
Stayed here while on vacation in Beijing. Our room was nice and spacious, mainly due to the fact there is very little storage space for clothes etc. The shower / toilet is a one unit affair. There is a glass wall seperating the bedroom from the shower, for privacy, one must draw a curtain. Very weird. Have been told that this hotel was formally a " Nightclub " The coridoors are very dimly light so take care. Staff have little or no English but are very friendly. Breakfast is a bit hit and miss. Be early 7:30 am if you want a decent selection otherwise settle for cold rice. All in all, not a bad hotel but I would recommend paying a bit extra for a more upmarket hotel.
I chose to stay in this hotel because of it's location which is easy to be found when i get off from the subway station and it is an international brand hotel i thought i can rely on. BUT, when i arrived to the hotel, the hotel staffs they couldn't understand english and also they couldn't speak english. That surprised me a lot as Furama is an international brand hotel, but how come their staffs could not speak english??!!!!! This FX hotel really fell down from international brand hotel standard. To have a lot of chinese guests and so their staffs don't speak english is not an excuse when you are an international brand hotel and people choose to come to you for that reason. Then you should have responsibility for that. How possible that an international brand hotel's staffs cannot speak english????? What a shame for an international brand hotel! The only good thing i can say for this hotel is just their excellent location which was so easy to be found after getting out from the subway. Anyway, hotel should give the information about the exit number of the subway station on their page of every website as there are 4 exit numbers. I had to lose my time searching the hotel from every exit number of the subway station. Well, all of this i just want the hotel manager come to see and take all matters to their concern and change it for their own adventage.
