First impressions...the lobby was beautiful and staff was exceptionally accommodating. The property was well maintained. Our room had a few cosmetic issues such as fraying carpet and outdated furniture, but the rooms were spacious and clean.

We only stayed here to break a journey up but the MainStay was a great choice. Staff were really welcoming & helpful, particularly as we had lots of questions about where to find things in the area. Room was a surprise - large, had kitchen (reception even recommended delivery services or offered us the use of a bbq), settee, desk area. Facilities included swimming pool, hot tub. Breakfast was continental but plenty of choice - particularly liked the pancakes. Wasn't expecting it to have so much & after seeing how much there is in Beaumont wished we'd stayed a little longer. Maybe next time.

Staff were fine. As for the room, it left much to be desired. Few outlets -- when you need to unplug the clock radio to plug in your computer, you are in trouble. Mattress was poor, and my wife encountered increasing allergens as the night progressed, This place needs some TLC -- scratches on walls and paint chipped. Pillows were stiff. Breakfast was satisfactory. Wifi was slow. Room was small for two, considering the cooking facilities, and had only one chair for two people.

Hotel is set back from the highway. Check in was fast and friendly. Room was very clean and has a apartment size fridge and small stove in the kitchenette. Bed was pretty comfortable and good channel selection on the TV.

we stayed here Christmas Eve for just one night. We couldn't have asked for a better location with two very good eating establishments on both sides of us. We had some issue with the key card at first but after trading it out for another one we were able to get inside and found a very clean room with everything you could have needed at your fingertips.

We tried booking this hotel on TripAdvisor but the only rooms showing were the $150+ suites. Upon walling into the hotel and training to the front desk clerk, he got us a room standard room with 2 queens for just over $100 included taxes and fees. ROOM 406 Pros: Overall Cleanliness Comfortable bed and bedding Easy Access to Mall, freeway, restaurants and all Entertainment Pretty quiet after 10pm Really great A/C (which drowns the nose of highway) There is a nice looking pool but the weather prevented up from using it Free hot breakfast (sausage, eggs, pancakes) with muffins, bagels, cold and hot cereal, juices and coffee Cons: Has a damp feeling (bed linens, towels, air) The old stale smoke smell is alive and well, like most hotels that switch to 100% non-smoking Cigarette burns/holes on couch, chair and floor (pictured) The couch and chair are VERY grimy. There is a feel on the couch that is awful, almost greasy. I doubt it's ever been cleaned. (Pictured) The carpet is coming up at the entrance, I tripped a few times catching my feet on the lifted area. Upon trying to push it down so my kids would not trip, I punctured my finger on a tack of sorts (pictured) It was an overall good experience and I would recommend this hotel for price, convenience and overall cleanliness. The staff was as well, very nice and welcoming.

I originally booked for 2 nights, yet everything was so comfortable I stayed 2 more nights! It was everything I needed from kitchenette to bathroom, bed, fold out couch, TV, service, location, etc. all for a reasonable price!

Rooms are very nice with kitchenette all around great setup. Stayed cool (without having to use my own fan) which is a BIG plus with me. Front desk customer service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend also a non-smoking property!

I stayed here for 6 weeks for work. Bottom line is I would stay there again. There are some upgrades that could be done to the rooms but the staff was incredible. In particular the desk clerk named Rohit always went above and beyond to help our family with anything we needed. Rohit and other staff members always exhibited a very positive attitude and made the hotel stay a pleasant, enjoyable one.

Okay so here's my honest opinion. Pros: 1. Extremely friendly hotel staff. Friendlier than most. 2. Basically everything you could need to live comfortably for several months. Nice sized bathroom (best feature in my opinion), nice comfy bed, TV, kitchenette with 2 burners, dishwasher, full size fridge. 3. Fast wifi, which is important. I forgot to check the download speeds but I had no issues streaming 720p videos on YouTube. Cons: 1. Biggest con for me was how old everything was. The furniture desperately needs updating. My computer desk chair was torn in several places. The linens are old and ugly. The TV is at least 6 or 7 years old. It is not a modern looking room by any means. 2. The price is too high for people staying for multiple weeks or months. It is about $1700/mo and that is after they credit you the taxes you paid for the first 4 weeks. The nightly rate is about $65 for a queen bed, which is fair. $1,700/28 days is $60/day. That isn't nearly enough of a knockoff in price for people who are basically living there. In my opinion it should be more like $45 or $50 per day, or around $325/week for people needing an extended stay visit. If the hotel had updated furniture and appliances, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with the current rate. 3. Only other con for me was the size of the sink. It's way too small. I didn't use it since I only stayed one night but I could definitely see me having issues with that if I were to stay for a long period of time. Overall though, I enjoyed my visit. I would give it a 3.5/5, but I rounded it up to 4.
