I evacuated to Port Arthur and was caught in hurricane Harvey. The staff was wonderful. Always checking on guest needs before their own. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They also gave us cleaning service even though the hotel flooded. I will stay at this location the next time I am in Port Arthur.
Staff was very friendly accommodating my stay. Upon arrival I was helped out right away,I also like that the waffle house is very close by and convenient. Located near many restruants. The hotel is super clean and nice. With a big pool.
Great Staff. Very helpful during hurricane harvey. They were all very well informed and kept the Tv's on the local news for weather updates. All the excessive rainfall didn't affect the parking lot. Room were very clean and breakfast was great. Would stay again.
I had the pleasure of staying at the location in Port Arthur, TX. Every aspect of our stay was Great. The staff's hospitality was genuine and the rooms were on point. Thanks for being consistent brand
Everything was dirty- Everything! Guy at the Front desk was awesome but that's where the good experience began and ended. The sleeper sofa mattress was so soiled and disgusting I almost threw up. We were moving my daughter, grandson and their dog home so we booked last minutes. This was the only decent place, or so we thought, that would take dogs. We paid $135 to sleep in a place that made me feel like I was going to vomit. I'm not exaggerating, I even overlook a lot of things usually. But this was so very disappointing and It was useless to complain considering it was so late. Perhaps we should have but I was exhausted. Please Please PLEASE, management, take care of this property! LaQuinta is better than what we experienced in Port Arthur.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It was great. They made sure that the lobby area had Fresh Cold Water and Cookies for there guests all day. The service and employees was very friendly and concerned for your needs.
Even thou it was one night for a couple of hours. The stay was great. Clean rooms friendly staff. One of the best over all hotels I've stayed in. Would defiantly stay again . next time a bit earlier to enjoy the pool
Coming here after fishing on Keith Lake in the hot sun was such a relief! A friend (who was with us) used his reward points to get a room (11,000 points), we had no problem with check-in, there were complementary water bottles and cookies in the lobby, and the lobby was refreshingly cool. If there are any bathrooms out near Keith Lake, we haven't found them yet. So, we used the facilities near the lobby of the hotel. Not hard to find, bathrooms clean, and when I drank from the water fountain and it got stuck on, I told the clerk and she tended to it immediately. Inside I did not expect to stay in such a luxurious hotel while on a fishing trip. The room had a small microwave & a pretty big refrigerator. Our half gallon jugs of homemade lemonade fit in the bottom of the frig once we moved one shelf. Sandwich stuff and frozen ice packs on the shelves above that. Beds & pillows were very comfortable. Closet has hangers (some hotels don't). I'm cold-natured and like hot showers. This shower will give you some HOT water! Obtaining WiFi connection is a little confusing. Try it while at the lobby desk so they can help you. Good strong signal on 3rd floor. Breakfast is delicious! Sausage gravy to pour over biscuits, pastries, eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels & cream cheese, coffee, milk, orange juice, & cranberry juice. Make-it-yourself Texas-shaped waffles, oatmeal, & flavored teas. No fruit. Nice separate breakfast area next to lobby with TV. Not crowded at all at 7am. Outside There is a side parking lot by the pool where we parked our boat, but the place isn't designed to accommodate boats or trailers. I'm surprised there weren't many more guests checked in for the weekend. If there had been, it might have been a problem. There was a small charcoal grill by the hot tub that we could have used for cooking our catch of the day. Take your card with you when you go to the pool! The side door locks and if you don't have your card, then you have to walk around to the front door. Narrow pet area behind the hotel has a station with bags for picking up after your dog. If you're going to Sea Rim State Park, most all the closest hotels are right in the area of this hotel. Otherwise, you can camp. There's not much (except a refinery) between here and Sea Rim.
Room was very nice and clean, bed comfortable, nice set up in the room and they are definitely per friendly. My issue is the non functional drapes installed for decoration, with only sheer curtain covering the window. Not only did it leave light shining in my eyes all night, it left us on clear display to the outside world since we were on the ground level.
We were there only one night but the stay was great. I reserved one room for my 94 year old Dad and a second room for my husband and I. We thought both rooms were great. We had a large, two room suite and Dad had a one room suite. Dad was very impressed and ours was very comfortable. I will check into reserving suites in the future. The price was excellent.
