The staff was great. The location is good. Short distance to the main square and baths. Easy to walk to town. The room was a bit noisy. Not sure if it was the people above us but kept waking up to rumbling. Breakfast was awesome.
My family and I were here only for a day and a night. But the staff, especially the general manager really made us feel we wished we could have stayed 3 or 4 days! He was so nice and extremely knowledgeable about things to do and places to visit while here! He also made the perfect Gin and Tonic from their brand new bar! Our room was wonderful, beds were comfortable, and breakfast in the morning was everything we needed! Our entire experience was 5 star! Plus parking!! Very happy indeed.
This was such a charming hotel! The staff was excellent, the room was lovely, the bathtub was huge, the view was gorgeous and it was a reasonable walking distance from the city center.
The hotel is in a very good location. It's an easy walk to the Roman baths and the town center. It also has on-site parking which is very convenient since bath can be a very difficult place to find a place to park. The room was a nice size. The only negatives were that the beds were a bit hard and there was no shelf space in the bathroom for any toiletries. However that seems to be a common shortcoming when traveling in the UK. The breakfast was very good. Choice of egg dishes, fruit, cereal, and pastries. The staff was helpful and friendly and answered all of our questions cheerfully. Requesting a room with an "Abby view" is a good idea. These rooms face the back of the building which is quieter than those facing the front Street.
