This is a pleasant enough hotel for a city break. The rooms were very clean and staff were pleasant and mostly helpful. Rooms could do with an update to be honest. The walls are very thin so you can hear conversations from the rooms next door and when they opened or closed the electric blinds. For friends and family sharing a room - be aware that the bathroom walls are glass panels with a covering on the side looking into the bed/main area of the room, but this doesn't give you any privacy, especially if the light is on. The main entrance to the hotel has steps leading up to the revolving doors. If you think you might struggle getting your suitcase up the steps, there is a ramp over on the right hand side leading to a side door entrance. Location-wise, the hotel was directly opposite the Barcelona City Tour hop-on, hop-off bus, which is a godsend if you use it as your transport around the vast city. There is a taxi rank outside the shopping mall which is across the road and to the right of the hotel and a metro stop two minutes to the left of the hotel, next to the Disseny Museum, which is currently showing the David Bowie Is exhibition. This is not a central hotel and it's a bit far to walk to the gothic quarter but the good transport links and fairly decent room for the price means I'd be likely to book again on my return to the city. The Torre Agbar tower right next door, is lit up at night and looks fabulous. Ask for a high room with a view of the tower, you'll also get to see the spires of the Sagrada Familia too.
The hotel location, close to the tram and metro, allows you to easily travel to all attractions in Barcelona. Hotel is clean and staff is very helpful. The rooftop poll and bar is also a nice plus. We would certainly return.
Title says it all. This hotel was amazing and I would for sure stay again. Check in was easy, the rooms where beautiful and the room top bar was the highlight of my stay. €10 cocktails and the views. AMAZING.
Very nice breakfast, clean room and and great service: I asked for a room as high as possible, they gave me a room on the 7th floor (out of 10 floors) with stunning views on the torre agbar and sagrada famiglia for no extra charge!
New and clean Hotel. Beautiful hall, contemporary design and nice room overlooking Jean Nouvel Tower and Design Museum. Very close to metro station so it's easy to visit the all city. Terrace with pool with a fab view over the all city (only the terrace bar should improve the quality of his drinks...). Everything else is perfect
I booked in advance directly though the website. I chose this hotel as my advanced booking rate included, 'drink ticket, late check out under availability and free upgrade under availability'. I didn't necessarily expect a free upgrade, but as my booking was for a Monday night I thought I might be in with a chance. At check-in, there was no mention of the drink ticket, the free upgrade or the late check-out. I decided just to go up to the room and have a look rather than say anything. It turns out that rather than receiving the free upgrade I had been tempted with, I had actually been given an inferior room. I was given a standard double instead of the 'Junior Suite/Diagonal Corner' that I had booked. I went back down to reception to make the staff aware of the situation and ask about the chance of a free upgrade. They said that since I had made the reservation the hotel had changed hands and that this was why some of my information had been lost. The 'Junior Suite/Diagonal Corner' that I had booked had since been re-branded as a 'Premium Suite'. The next room up from this would be a 'Grand Premium Suite'. Luckily, one was available. As my booking offered a 'free upgrade under availability' then I would have been expected to have been automatically upgraded to this room. However, I was told that if I wanted to take the upgrade it would cost me 100€ extra. I was told that although this room was available it was not available to me. Unless I wanted to pay the extra 100€ that is. Basically, the hotel had gone against the terms and conditions of my reservation purely so that they could hold back the Grand Premium Suite to sell on either to a new customer or as a 100€ upgrade. These actions displayed a total lack of any grasp of what customer service is. I shall not be back.
Top quality hotel with large rooms and massive picture widows. I had a corner room so almost entirely glass walls. very good electronic blinds made privacy possible. Small bar downstairs and quality fittings throughout.
Excellent hotel, fantastic room, reception, restaurant, amazing roof top pool with wonderful views, lovely atmosphere and staff are very friendly. Only negative that there is no hairdryer, would recommend to a friend
Very pleasant stay, the ambiance, odor, temperature were great & the breakfast is wonderful, especially the scrambled eggs! the roof top offers a great view of Barcelona, a nice place to spend an evening. Rooms are big and clean, furniture may need to be reviewed.
Transferred to this modern hotel after cruise for two nights stay in Barcelona. Great hotel, great views from room, shopping right across the street, hop on hop off bus right there which you are able to book within the hotel. Metro and tram services round the corner for all areas of the city. Great breakfast, They also have a relaxing roof top bar with great views. Staff very helpful regarding information. Only downside was our keycard kept not working on our room door.
