staff is not kind especially the guy in thirties on the reception. breakfast is not good and I stayed there 3 nights, the third day I was going to vomit from the smell. I don't know what they were frying that day at early morning. there is small stairs before u reach the elevator. I paid 130 euros per night and they are not worth half the price. they are near a metro station but u end up walking ten minutes up a hill to reach the hotel. i did not lie the experience at all.
Rather unusual circumstances, we were stranded in Barcelona after a nightmare 48 hours & needed overnight accommodation. Did a Groupon Search & this Hotel came up as available but needed to give 14 days notice, called them before buying the groupon spoke to the Spanish & English speaking male receptionist. I fully explained the circumstances & he explained he only had one room left, but we could use the groupon. I gave my credit card details bought the groupon & arrived within the hour. I had the groupon clearly visible on my iPad, & we booked in, I went to park the car in their garage so I had to leave reception, at this stage the female receptionist said to my wife they would not accept the groupon & demanded payment by card, as my wife had had an extremely stressful couple of days she just paid & didn't tell me as she knew what my reaction would be. Having parked I made my way to our room which was extremely tired to say the least & I have stayed in better hostels in Spain. The bathroom was not particularly clean, the bedroom furniture old & the door was hanging off the very old mini fridge, which contained only three items. The entire room needed modernising & the hotel is not worth what you pay. I subsequently confronted the staff about being charged & they denied the original arrangements. I don't know if they have some system that they can skim their employers off but in my opinion both of the members of staff I dealt with were nothing more than dishonest & I would like to use far stronger language. This hotel is part of the Grupo Husa, & if some senior manager would like to contact me I will willingly discuss this. This wasn't language difficulty as my wife speaks fluent Spanish & mine is passable. Lastly, breakfast was excellent, even if they charged us €22.00 for what should have been included. Far better & cheaper accommodation available in Barcelona.
Room was falling apart - floorboards breaking off, bed broken etc. Not worth what they ask. The front door was locked with noone at the desk for 10 minutes in the middle of the day when both me and another guy were rushing to drop something in our rooms and wanting to rush off again. Just plain bad.
Nice hotel. Rooms are small but clean. Hotel staff was very nice and breakfast was good. They hold onto room keys when leaving the property which is nice, no worries about losing the key. We stayed on the 6th floor and had a small balcony which was nice to sit out on. This is in a quiet part of the city. Walking distance to the metro and subway, taxi's easy to obtain. Great food close by.
We stayed at Husa Pedralbes for 5 days in August 2015. The room was decent and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Husa Pedralbes is not located in the city center. It is around 5 km from La Rambla, but there is public transportation - bus or metro (Maria Cristina station).
The hotel was clean, reception staff friendly and helpful. The room was simple but had everything. It's a small hotel, public transport it's near but during summer the mild uphill walk can be to tough. Cons: There wasn't hot water in the shower.
Firstly, all the ACs are broken. Secondly, if you are unlucky enough to have a centered room know that there is no space to move or put your bags. To get to the window you must climb over the bed to walk to the other side of the room. Now, if you're taller than 5'2 the bed will surely be shorter than you are. Also, the breakfast does not accommodate Muslim traditions; most of it is pork. Other choices besides bacon and other pork inclusive foods, the food was not amazing. Note that we were a group of 52 people taking up the entire hotel who did not eat pork. Store bought donuts and mini nutella packets is what you would live on (which they serve). The elevators are very slow and only one works at a time (they are only two) and each elevator takes no more than 2-3 people barely. The only advantage to this hotel is that there were 3 surrounding supermarkets to take your mind off of the terrible food they serve. Husa Pedralbes is near Diagonal but is nine stops away from La Ramblas.
Rooms small. Air conditioning not working in any of the rooms. Bathroom shabby with hair from previous guest in bathtub. Telephones could not make outside calls. Most staff however friendly and easy access to public transport. Would not return.
The staff were friendly, only breakfast is served and there is no bar. The room is very small. The bed is two singles pushed together which keep coming apart. The bathroom was clean but could benefit from an uplift The hotel itself is very dated and needs an overhaul
We got put in this hotel after being double booked by our tour operator, was meant to be staying in the Husa Cool International Hotel! This hotel is quite far out from the centre of Barcelona so you need a taxi's to get you into the area of Las Ramblas. Hotel had friendly staff, not a bad breakfast if you got down early before the food started to run out. Rooms were small, air conditioning blew out only hot air and there was trouble with the water when we stayed! Would I return to this hotel, certainly not! Would I return to Barcelona and Las Ramblas, I certainly will in the future as its a great city. One last note, if you are staying at this hotel to be near the Nou Camp stadium you will have a good 25/30 minute walk to get there.
