We came to Barcalona 3 days ahead of a 12 day cruise. I was a little nervous coming due to the language and crime I was reading about. But once here I found 90% spoke some English and saw no crime. A big police presence and felt safe. Rode metro with no problem. Order tickets online before coming for LA Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. We used Viator for a tour to 3 medieval towns that was good. We booked before we left the states. Taxi is reasonable. Food is good...lots of tapas. Stay off the beaten path for food. La Rambla food is over priced. Breakfast at hotel is 12 euro. Go down the street to 365 Sempre Obert. Coffee and crossount is 1.2 euro.
Great location - close to the centre & easy to get to - beach about 20 min walk but we loved it, one steeet away from the busy las ramblas & amazing tapas reastuarants. Hotel was perfect, very clean, staff were the extremely friendly and helpful; went above and beyond. Beds were huge. Also - really would recommend going to a flamenco show - amazing! And very traditional, the market off of las ramblas had the most amazing food & fruits & also the tapas restaurant Sensi is an absolute must!! Park guiell is also amazing but book in advance as we were lucky to get in. Barcelona is a fantastic city, will definatly be making a return very soon! Thanks to all at Andante 😃
We were so pleased with the location of this hotel, it has everything within walking distance; metro station, pharmacy, supermarkets, plus more importantly, most of the main tourist attractions. The rooftop infinity pool is very small & shallow but perfect to return to after a long hot day of sightseeing. The staff were polite, informative & helpful.
Beautiful hotel, just all round wonderful. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed. I just don't know where to start! Really close to Las Ramblas, less than 5 minute walk. 20 minute walk to the lovely beach too. BOOK THIS HOTEL!
Just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel and the best thing about this hotel is it's central location which is close enough to walk to most of the main attractions. The rooms are clean and whilst I understand it is an eco hotel, a fridge or tea/coffee facilities in the rooms would really enhance the overall experience of staying at the hotel. The breakfasts were great with an extensive for a 3 star hotel which really set us up for the day. There is a Carrefour across the street with several shops, cafes and eateries and souvenir shops all within a few mins walk. La Rambla is a 5/6 min walk, Montjuic is 10 min and the beach took us about 20 mins. The metro is at the end of the street and v easy to use. You can buy the T10 metro card for 10€ from Reception. Highly recommended
Excellent - great location and amenities. Rooftop pool is a huge bonus, especially for the area. Would not hesitate to recommend and will return in the future. Service was better than other locations. Price was extremely competitive.
Stayed for 6 nights. Very clean and simply furnished hotel. Good location and excellent staff. Good breakfast. Excellent location and convenient for the ramblas, metro felt very safe. Good tapas bar just up the street.
The room itself was nice and the front desk staff were good but the hotel lets itself down in a few areas. First off, have free water for people in the lobby instead of just ice. Fridges in the room would be nice. Also rooms on the first floor get a lot of noise from the electric doors downstairs. Gym was a bit of a joke, not much happening there. Upstairs area view is beautiful but very small. Parents let their kids loose and the pool is off limits because they've invaded the small pool. So overall an ok hotel but just lacks a lot of niceties that most other hotels have.
Very nice hotel w friendly front desk staff. Hip and modern although the hallways may be a bit morbid (dark and grey). Nice location although some of the surrounding streets were not exactly posh. Rooms were bright. Elevator kinda slow.
Really friendly reception guy greeted us when we arrived late at night and was really chatty the next night too when we saw him.. The rooms were very modern and well set out. I found the bed uncomfortable but my friend thought the beds were good (I do struggle to be fair) The location was great, a quick walk to maremagasin, placa trial, Rambla, the beach... to name a few. The pool is more of a cooling down pool, not a swimming pool so if you are wanting a pool type holiday, this isn't for you. If you want a fab city break and a quick dip in a pool to cool down, with great views, then it's perfect.. The price was really reasonable too All in all, I'd definitely stay there again!
