This hotel had super comfortable beds and pillows, which at 6 months pregnant was the most important thing to me. However, the room was extremely noisy. To the point where there was so much noise I woke up several times every morning with the distinct impression that that noise was from someone having broken into our room and moving around in it. The location is a little sketchy - not dangerous but you see some prostitutes hanging around. It's close to La Rambla, which is good to visit once or twice, but you're probably better off staying in Eixample - it's where it seems most of the good restaurants and bars are and where all the Gaudi buildings are.

Mostly well presented room with my only quibble being the location of the towels. Out of sight, out of mind; so easy to forget to grab one before stepping into the shower.

It's a funky, smoke-stack-shaped hotel in an edgy neighborhood. Minuses first - the rooms have very little storage and the showers in some rooms are in a clear glass enclosure right in the middle of the room. There are no regular windows - there is a door that opens to a funny little "balcony" but it has to be unlocked by the hotel. And the neighborhood is a ten-minute walk to the center of the Barri Gotic and/or the subway. I was traveling with my goddaughter and we had a lot of clothes for a week's stay. The first room had the shower in the middle of the room and absolutely no storage other than 4 hangers in a "closet." no dresser, no built-in drawers. I complained and was moved to a room with a tub/shower (although it was still visible from the bedroom) and slightly more storage. Although technically in the Barri Gotic, it's really in "Raval," an adjacent neighborhood. It's right on a large palm-tree shaded plaza, with a neighborhood feel, but if you're a tourist, you're going to spent at least ten minutes every morning walking somewhere else to get on the subway or start your day. And it's right next to a large concrete open space which echoes with the shouts of kids during the days and teens until about 3 at night. On the plus side, the room was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable, the food was good, the breakfast buffet generous, and the staff very helpful. There's a nice roofdeck with bar, but the "pool" isn't more than a large hot tub, but cold.

Fantastic stay. Very comfortable. Just great. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone

Good location, hip hotel. The only improvement I would suggest is the need for heavier beds, which move at the slightest provocation.

The hotel was excellent arrived late @ night were accommodated with 2 single beds pushed together , I assume due to such late arrival i.e. 1 am , discussed room change with concierg, who informed me the hotel was full booked this evening but feel free to come down next day and request room change , left a note with reception next day did as told left hotel and retuned to a 7 level increase with amazing views of the city and a king size bed was beautiful to return to this kindness , service was impeccable , room was cleaned and reformed everyday , lovely restaurant located in the heart of the city 5/10 mins walk to anywhere, only issue with the hotel was the pool size , more like a cool off pond than a pool but does the job on those hot days, even when leaving , concierge took or bags as we where not flying out till 11 pm that night , and informed us that we could freely use the showers in the gym/sauna area to dredging up at our will , excellent hotel would defiantly stay there again , to visitors to the city highly recommend the grey line bus tour to start off the trip get your bearings and is hop on hop off which is great, mount juic is amazing and defiantly go and relax at the Olympic swimming pool at the top $6 entry well worth it , not often you can say the Olympians swam in this precise pool views are amazing also to boot , unfortunately found the metro and bus service beyond my comprehension, no mater how may times we tried , was an excellent trip hotel was a good choice area was prime and weather was beautiful

Great location. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was very modern and hip in feeling. Great location, central to all we wanted to see and do. A real treat!

Our experience at Barcelo Raval was excellent. The staff was very attentive throughout the entire stay. Our room was very clean, modern, and comfortable. We loved the view from the 360 deck, atop the building. Also, we enjoyed some wonderful cocktails by the pool. The hotel is in a fantastic location for travelers that love to walk and explore. Also, we didn't have any trouble walking to the bus stop for the airport bus with all over our luggage in tow. I am happy to recommend this hotel to anyone.

For those of you hoping to find an amazing hotel in an amazing neighborhood, this one fits the bill. However, "amazing neighborhood" is in the eye of the beholder. Great ethnic food all around this place, but it's a little grimey and does not feel as safe as up by La Sagrada Famila and the north end of Las Ramblas. We liked everything about this place, expect for the two twin beds that were pushed together. Make sure to book or request a king/queen size bed #there are only a few available#. The staff is great, and super friend.

under staffed, bathroom stink, long waiting time on reception as they only have one staff on most of thetime

First time to Barcelona. Perfect spot. Near las Ramblas but quiet. Very nice hotel.

Great all around! The neighborhood is close enough to the action that you didn't have to walk too far to get to it all. Would stay here again for the value. Also the bartender Katerina is a wonderful joy on the top floor hotel bar.

Fantastico!! Except for the ladies of the night endemic to this up and coming area, great food and easy metro access. Super rooftop deck but don't be fooled by pool- it is more of a shallow wishing well that is refreshing but smaller than most hotel hot tubs.

If you like modern at its best, spectacular views and stylish amenities, this is for you!

My stay at this hotel was ok overall. The room was small but I guess it's typical for Barcelona, or Europe for that matter; my biggest issue was that they turn the AC off during the day even if you leave the access card on the slot indicating that this is what one wants. Location was good as it was close to Las Ramblas but unfortunately too close to all the "night ladies" activities. I think for the price paid; I would stay there again

i loved the interior design of the hotel. Its so nice, the window was a wall size, and the curtain has a remote control! the location is pretty great too. i walked to a lot of places. not all the stuff speak english, but they are aways friendly and helpful, TV had a lot of chanels. the wall insolation is not the best, but i didnt have a bad experience. I loved the hotel overall.

The hotel was situated close to all the sights that I was visiting. The neighborhood, though mixed, was a pleasant change from the usual. Nice diversity of restaurants within walking distance. Room was more modern than imagined, but very comfortable. Only drawback was that you had to program the A/C daily to run otherwise, it did not. The room was warm when first checked in and after a day of sightseeing, it would be warm again.

A beautiful property and great location. The staff are incredible, but the hotel suffers from "overdesign" looks great but the glass structure keeps the heat in so the rooms can get rather toasty. I did change rooms several times to no avail. The hotel manager was extremely helpful and sent an engineer to lower the thermostat setting so I could control the temp. instead of the hotel setting of 17c Everything was PERFECT from then on!!!!

NOISEY!!! Walls are paper thin, Outside is noisy....Not in a nice area. BUT for the price.... if you do not mind walking 15 minutes to La Rambla.... it is a good value. The rooms are ultra modern. Great shower. Convenient to walk to everything. Area is seedy ....Lots of taxis right out the front door. Easy walk during the day to entire city. Never got in a taxi.

Check in was smooth and friendly, room was small but beds were comfy and room had some fun details like floor to ceiling windows with button operated curtains, nice toiletries and Nespresso machine. Building is very modern and not in the best neighborhood but easy walking to Las Ramblas. Large bed was two beds pushed together with separate bedding. Not the most romantic but clean, comfortable beds.
