Good location. Close to many tourist spots, good dining and walkable in all directions. Safe area, clean hotel, and friendly staff. Breakfast was very good with choices of both hot and continental items.

Staff was not overly friendly and we had a homeless woman come into the hotel and throw pastries at one of us at breakfast. They did help us with finding activities. Room had lots of traffic noise and elevator outside our room made a lot of noise.

Good location

Decent location. 12 mins to segrata familiar by foot. Room is comfortable. Only problems are internet was down the 3 days we were there and A/C was always off at night after we returned to our home and we had to inform the front desk to turn on our A/C

Enjoyed our stay very much. Staff were very helpful. Beds were comfy. The only negative was the breakfast for 9 euros per person the eggs potatoes and bacon were prepared and just left out - not in a chafing dish so everything was cold.

Great stay and good value We had a great experience at this hotel. The location was pretty central to a lot of the main tourist spots—Sagrada Familia was only about a 10-minute walk, and we were able to walk to Park Güell, Barceloneta Beach, and Palau de la Música, though those took more time (around 20–40 minutes each). Staff were friendly and had a great restaurant recommendation we really enjoyed. Only downside was the wifi—it wasn’t very strong. Overall though, good value for the price, and I’d stay here again.

The hotel’s location is great. It’s a short walk to many restaurants and cafe’s and also to the Hop on Hop off city tour. The Aranea is very clean and the staff were great. One exception was on check out, when I wasn’t asked anything about our stay. Also 4 not 5 because we felt the breakfast is very sub par. It was the exact same everyday and not very good. I would not choose the breakfast plan again. Much better options within 5 minutes of the hotel.

I chose to stay at Hotel Aranea because of how close it was to the Sagrada Familia and also the Monumental metro station (about a 10 minute walk for each place). Breakfast was the standard European Continental style with some American scrambled eggs and bacon. I felt pretty safe walking around the surrounding area. The only negative thing is that the shower stall feels like a phone booth, which made showering a bit of a challenge. Overall, I would consider staying here again when I come back to Barcelona.
