The hotel and the hotel staff were exceptional- always helpful and very professional. The location was close to a Metro line which we used all week. The hotel and rooms were very clean and a decent size. I just didn't realize that a double room in Europe is one king size bed and not two double beds. The staff did all it could to change our room when we arrived. The breakfast was very good- enough variety to have something different everyday if you wanted to. Would definitely go back!
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and it was in a good location for access to the trains, shopping and dining. The room had a small kitchentte and there was a small grocery store about 2 blocks away which was convenient. The room was clean and we had a large rooftop patio outside the living room which was very nice. The staff was very helpful although we did have to wait until after 3p to get into our room so they stored our bags. I believe the rate was reasonable for the room and location. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to friends.
The staff at this hotel were very friendly and very accomidating. The room was spacious and well appointed. I will say that I wish that we were able to have had this room on the first night we booked at this hotel! We were met at the front desk and told that a pipe had broken and they were going to have to put us up at another hotel. They arranged everything and took care of the taxi fare. While I appreciate the proactive steps that they took, I expected to receive the room that I paid for. Not a smaller, less appointed room at a hotel that was not as nice.
The staff was excellent and the rooms exceptionally clean
Very nice/clean hotel. Location is ok. Close to the train station Staff friendly
love the location. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. The balcony was a mazing and the room was perfect for a couple with a teen. He had his privacy and so did we. The staff was great as they helped us with buying tickets and tour information.
Initially, they assigned a rather poor equipped room for 2 days so we made complain about the bed. They gave us an upgraded room with good facilities so we enjoyed to stay there for 17 days. Also, the staffs help us to give proper information with care.
Altough is a small hotel , it has all the things you really need to have a nice vacation in Barcelona
My stay in the hotel was great! the staff was very helpful, the location is very good, lots of good places near by... Would recommend to any friend or family traveling to Barcelona...
Great hotel and good location, area very quiet and people very friendly
really nice hotel, wonderful stay, welcome cava, staffs are great too. the location is a bit far walking-wise, but close enough to public transportation.
Awesome and helpful staff. Great location, close to many tourist sites and also a metro station. But location is in a quieter neighborhood. Parking was a bit expensive (€25 a night!)
Me and my girlfriend stayed at Mariano Cubi over the weekend and simply enjoyed it every bit. Extremely helpful and professional staff; huge, clean, quiet rooms; a glass of Cava at check-in! Not much left to expect for this price actually.
When we got to the hotel around 9:00 PM after an almost 7 hour train ride from Paris to Barcelona we were told that they had an emergency with a few rooms and there weren't any available, but that the hotel had booked us in a sister hotel nearby. When I questioned if it was a 4 star hotel he honestly stated it was a 3 star hotel but that he will do whatever to make sure we were put up in the best room available. We were put up in a 135 sq. meter penthouse suite. Also, the hotel paid for taxis back and forth to the hotel and included free breakfast for the rest of our stay. The hotel was extremely professional in the way they handled the emergency. The hotel itself is a comfortable 4 star hotel with amenities that are more than satisfactory. The small kitchen is nice but lacks proper utensils to truly cook a meal. I wish managers would move in to the hotel for a few nights and try to cook a meal and see what is lacking in order for guests to use the kitchen and prepare a meal. Also, if you are going to have a kitchen the room needs a small breakfast table; the room had plenty of space for a small table with two chairs but it didn't. Why have a kitchen if it can't be used properly? Although it's a no smoking hotel, the first room they gave us reeked of smoke but they immediately gave us another room. At times we could smell in the hallways smoke from one or two people smoking in the rooms. Given the problems we experienced we were impressed with the professional manner management addressed the problems. This hotel is worthwhile staying because it is comfortable and near all the wonders of Barcelona. Also, I noticed the per night prices are all over the place; try booking early and attempt to pay less than US$ 100 per night.
I booked this room based on these reviews and am very confused why it has a 4 star avg. to preface my review I am American so I may have different views of hotels in general. Room quality: Rock hard mattress Loud air conditioning unit No shower curtain? Shower faucet awkwardly facing door. Towels smelled like they were drenched in vinegar Shotty internet wifi. Had to sit on the stairwell to get any signal Paper thin walls--not fun with a crying baby in the room next door Only plus to location is proximity to Gracia line. This hotel seems to be in a very local part of town, positive or negative depending on experience you're looking for Only decent quality is one of the concierge is helpful...however some of them are extremely unhelpful and gave me and my friend the wrong directions Overall I would not recommend for the price that was paid
breakfast was not included? hotel staff were not helpful, they did not have printer to print my conformation from airline . I asked to call for transportation they said call taxi?
The reception desk staff and the location of the hotel are excellent. The wifi was slightly shotty and the maids ignored the door tag though.
The hotel was well located for central Barcelona points of interest. The staff and facilities were great. The complementary breakfast was outstanding in variety and quality. Decor was modern and pleasing, comfortable. We walked to the amazing Sagrada Familia Cathedra (17 blocks)l and found the area to be very safe.
This is a perfect location within a short walk from major metro stations. There are even two small grocery store where you can buy fresh produce. All reception desk staff were very professional, courteous and friendly.
