We spent two nights here and the staff were super helpful in terms of how to use the subway, where to go, and how to get to the hotspots. However, we had a problem with the noise. Whenever the neighbors' doors closed in the morning, the doors would slam shut and we would wake up. This was our only complaint. The area was a 15 minute metro ride to downtown and to our favorite Barcelona restaurants!
Family room was huge and really comfortable and luxurious , with Amazing panoramic views all round the city! Little touches like complementary snack basket , nesspresso machine and water really made us feel at home.We loved the area with lovely mall, beach, restaurants bars mins away. The metro station is 5 mins walk and you can be in the city centre within 15 mins. We found the staff professional, courteous and friendly and really couldn't fault the hotel. Pool and bar were really funky but pool was freezing. We will certainly be back soon.
The hotel checked many boxes for us as a couple traveling to Barcelona for the first time: close to the coast, beautiful view of the ocean from our windows, close to shopping mall area with many choices of food, close to Metro station- take L4 from Maresme Forum and it was about 30 minutes to center of town, big room and amenities replenished everyday, except for water, got 2 free bottles the first day and that was it. I am a Marriott Gold member so had an upgrade, which was nice. No free breakfast but was offered a discount option which we declined. Beautiful small pool with great view, cocktails were reasonably priced as well. We would stay here again if the price is right, or may choose another Marriott closer to the center of town.
Staff very cold, not helpful and rude. The rooms are an absolute joke! Tiny rooms with a very claustrophobic feel. Noisy surroundings. Business district, not the charm of Barcelona. Better food options across the street, you can find great small restaurants.
Slowest check in and check out ever Location is correct because there is the shopping mall next to the hotel but for the center and all the touristic attraction its very far. Its good for 2 3 nights for business in the hotel but foe leisure a more central hotel is better. Otherwise food is good Ps: the housekeeping didnt knock before entering my room and i was in the toilet! The maid didnt even excused herself...
Great hotel, clean rooms which are every day serviced. Complementary water on the room however just provided once per stay. Breakfast is quite expensive. Wifi is fast and reliable. Nice bar at the 13th floor serving drinks and snacks.
Hotel itself works fine - great view from the pool, nice restaurant and breakfast buffet, bar area very modern. The rooms are very small, not much space to leave bags, etc and it feels very cramped in. Everything is modern and works, but no tea/coffee facilities in room. Location of the hotel is very bad - it is the conference area and old container docking area so almost nothing in the surroundings that you would expect from Barcelona. You should pick this hotel if you go on business and/or to the Forum/CCIB conference otherwise it is too far from the center. If you have to stay here get a room as high as possible to get either city views (great views incl Sagrada Familia) or the sea. You need to expect a lot of commuting time to and from the city
I stayed at the AC Forum for 5 nights. It was a very good experience. As others noted the rooms are small (its europe!) but they were clean and the staff was good. They all spoke several languages and really tried to help with directions and recommendations of things to do. I would definitely return. Everyone must also go to the bar on the 14th floor. It is absolutely beautiful. The food and drinks are comparably priced and the ambience is just lovely. The pool is also on that floor but on a beautiful clear day it offers a spectacular view of the city, uptown and downtown. The mall across the street really is an added bonus. We were able to buy adapters and try the food court upstairs. I really really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return to this hotel.
I stayed at the AC Barcelona in December for a conference. The hotel is at a great location, close to the subway/metro, a mall and ocean. Hotel room was spacious, clean and had a security vault. The13th floor had a bar, outdoor swimming pool and great views of Sagrada Familia and ocean. The staff at the bar were very friendly. The staff at the front desk were busy and I wish they took more time to clearly answer my questions. To receive free wifi, I had to sign-up as a member with them. The first floor had common computers for everyone.
Was at a congress and was booked into hotel by work. First time in a AC hotel and was suitably impressed. Clean rooms, friendly staff but rooms are a bit cramped and no real desk. Would stay again and assume the rest of the chain are as good
