From the time I checked in to check out this Marriott not only met but exceeded my expectations. Check in was refreshing, welcoming and quick and my room and view was wonderful. A slightly outdated decor was forgotten by the view of the ocean from the balcony. Each day I left for work I was told to have an incredible day and each night when I returned I was welcomed back with genuine smiles.
Stayed here a few days for cropover. About 20minutes from the airport via taxi. Located near shopping and eating areas. Staff are friendly and willing to assist with anything. Rooms are clean and housekeeping on par. Taxis readily available at entrance. Food a bit overpriced but generally the consensus in Barbados tourist areas. Breakfast not included in room price (buffet breakfast costs $48bds). However there are many eating areas walking distance around. Wi-Fi has strong signals thoughout hotel and reliable connections. Only downside is that you have to leave the compound and cross the road to access the beach, but there is a pool on the 2nd floor. Didn't stay much in the hotel as I was busy with events, but it is comfortable and would highly recommend.
typical Courtyard quality hotel and amenities clean and good service. nice pool and very nice beach. close to walking sites like restaurants and nightlife. enjoyed my stay will be back. good breakfast and service. a bit pricey but this whole island is expensive.
This is a great hotel for family and friends. The staff was very helpful and informative with the exception one front desk clerk who did not do his due diligence and kept telling my guest that I was not registered there or that I had left. Delwyn (don't quite remember his name) more than made up for this fiasco, he really went above and beyond at check-in. You need to have more employees like him. Pool and gym were my highlights, I did not eat at the hotel (preferred the local fare). The room was very accommodating and clean, next time I will make sure I have a balcony. Love the beds!. My only disappointment was the location from a good beach and no microwave in room. Transportation was excellent. Would stay here again.
I enjoyed my stay here in Barbados. The hotel was very nice in appearance, well cleaned and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with my many questions. As a solo traveler, the location was not ideal for me as it was situated a bit away from many entertainment options. There is a nice restaurant/bar right next door and public transportation is easily accessible on he main road. I was able to take the bus to Oistin's and into the city for a shopping adventure. The beach is directly across the street and easily accessible. Overall, I had a wonderful stay!
The staff at the Courtyard Barbados were most accommodating and friendly! The hotel is safely located in the heart of town with access to famously (Ostins) local restaurants and shopping. Hotel staff was attentive to tourist needs and very friendly. The hotel was clean and professional. Hotel meets Marriott's high expectations!
Took a quick four day getaway with my cousin. We were greeted by Kiara at front desk whom assisted us till the end. She helped us navigate the town, assisted getting us on a catamaran excursion. Staff is awesome, rooms are ample and very clean. Only downside is that it's not beachfront property so you have to cross the road, go down some stairs and than you'll get to beach. Courtyard located in quiet area away from "the gap" or other hotels, restaurants and nightlife. You'll need to take the bus (#11) or taxi service. Food from dining area in lobby is pricey BUT the convenience of having onsite is wonderful.
This hotel is situated a little off the beaten path but close enough to walk to the beach across the street, area restaurants and local attractions. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed some time in the pool as a refreshing rinse after being in the ocean. I agree with many of the reviews that their breakfast was definitely over priced for what you got but they made up for it in the evening with some very delicious rum punches.
This hotel had the most friendly staff give or take one or two front desk ladies. The rooms were okay. The one complaint I had about the room is that they have tile floors but no mats by the beds so when you wake up you have to place your feet on cold tiles. The food at the bar took a veryyyyyyy long time to come out. The breakfast was deelish! They could offer actual fruit juice instead of boxed juices from concentrate. Other than that we had a great stay.
The accomodations were adequate, the air conditioning was excellent, but the breakfast buffet was an exorbitant $29 USD for a downright dissappointing and stale selection, like you would expect at a lower tier hotel. We were expecting breakfast would be included in our rate due to being Gold Elite members with Marriott, but this hotel is an exception to that benefit normally provided. The front desk was cheerful and helpful in accomodating a 4pm late checkout... but the room key still work at 3pm, forcing me to go down to the front desk to get it reactivated. It's not a big deal, just interesting, considering I confirmed the late checkout with them three times beforehand. But we had a good sleep, which is the biggest thing.
