Before visiting Bali for the first time, we had apprehentions about our experience at this Resort but everything doubt vanished once we entered the Resort. All the Staff Members including Security at the gates, were so nice , humble , ever smiling & helpful , which we have never experienced. Rooms are spacious , well maintained , though we observed servings at breakfast are limited & repetitive which needs to be looked into
I stayed here solo as my husband was still working and couldn't make it with me. I came over for a friends wedding. On arrival I received a juice and cold towel which was refreshing :) Being that I was by myself the staff made sure that I was comfortable and safe at all times. Anytime I walked out the front to go to the circle K the security would stop traffic so I could safely walk past and wait for me to to come back as well. Breakfast is included and the food was nice. Overall the place is nice, staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious. Didn't give 5 stars because the towels are old and not great to dry with and the sheets had stains on them.
Stayed here when we first arrived at Bali - very welcoming and staff were faultless and made us feel very included. Free massage per person definitely worth it! The only thing that let us down a bit was the Daily free shuttle bus to kuta was cancelled and we got told quite last minute. Other than that the room/pool and other facilities were faultless and we very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend :)
The hotel is awesome with an amazing pool. They have a nice breakfast menu. They also offer a great massage center guy which is a no miss. Perfect for honymooners. The only drawback is that the hotel beach is not nice
It was our second visit at that beautiful hotel and we would definitely come back again! The rooms are very spacious, cleaned and sprayed every day. Staff very helpful, nice and always smiled. When we checked in we only mentioned that it was our honeymoon and the next day they made our bed with swans and petals 😍 and we got honeymoon cake. Pools are clean, the atmosphere very calm, great to relax. Thank you The Grand Bali for lovely stay! 👏👏👏
Good location, nice setting and great value. Staff were polite and friendly and the hotel had good character. Parts of it were slightly dated but there was a good selection of food and drink and I would recommend this as a place to stay for a few nights. Bit of a walk to the beach but they offer free transfers, however I'd give the beach a miss as it was full of plastic
Honestly, super sad. I have read good reviews and decided to give it a try - bad decision. Hotel have seen better days. It is old and badly maintained. They try to keep it clean, but everything, starting from furniture to towels is just so old, that it is not working. Shower, bath tub, bed - everything super worn out. We had a room with pool access and it smelled humid inside. And there were mosquitos. It was so humid that we actually requested to be moved to the other room which happened only next day. The other room was slightly better and less humid. But when I decided to take shower I found out there is no warm water. It took them 10 min to come fix it but few hours for it to actually heat. Breakfast was OK, beach is far but there is a shuttle to take you there every hour 8am till 5pm. Beach as other Indonesian beaches is dirty. We saw hotel employees actually digging holes in sand to put there plastic trash together with seaweed and not only in this hotel.
Much about this small property is very good...the staff, the pleasant pool area, the spacious rooms with lots of marble.....it is well kept for its age and the modest gardens are well tended. The breakfast buffet was not outstanding but fair for the modest rate charged...just a little finessing of the selection and some expertise would improve small points (use a waffle batter instead of pancake batter for waffles for a better result)....but hey, for the rate it is good! The one negative, and it was a big one as far as our enjoyment of the pool is concerned, Is the stubborn insistence they have of playing loud, western music from the bar....people come to a resort to relax, it is not a disco. When you can't easily have a conversation it ceases to be relaxing and enjoyable. Like most Balinese management responses, below there will no doubt be some waffle response but the bottom line is this is a far from relaxing experience poolside unless you like it loud and pulsating all the time.
We had a mixed stay at The Grand Bali Nusa Dua. Pros: Location: great, close to eating joints, street shopping, massage spas and within walking distance to The Bali Collection Rooms: are clean, spacious, and comfortable Cons: Restaurant service: breakfast was part of the package...however we, being strict vegetarians had to really struggle. The spread is almost 100% non-veg, however, vegetarians are allowed to order 2 dishes from the veg menu, only if they don't eat anything else from the buffet table (which for us would be the juice and salads). Now compare this to the 15+ items that meat eaters can have. How fair is that? Hotels/restaurants are supposed to keep their guests happy, but we were sorely disappointed with the attitude/service of the restaurant. Service: staff is always smiling but do not try to help you out of a problem. Appear clueless sometimes ---we were entitled to several discounts (easter sale booking) but had to ask for each one of them at the time of billing, which sent them running helter skelter Over-priced spa: you walk out of the hotel and the shopping area has several spas offering the same services at one third the price
Highly recommend this hotel, just outside of the main complex of hotels but you can easily walk to the beach or get a shuttle from the hotel. Reasonablly priced. Highly recommend paying extra for a pool access room as it was really worth it. Staff are very helpful and there is an outside bar by the pool. Only downside is the room smelt slightly damp and you get mites on the cane furniture but if you lie on a towel this is not a problem.
