Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Room was advertised as with a view but was not. Handicaped room which means it had bars surrounding commode and bathtub. Overpriced.

The Omni is in south Austin near St. Edwards University so convenient for us helping my child move into her dorm at St. Edwards. The room was very clean and was kept clean by attentive staff. The pool is indoor outdoor and quite large and hardly used by other hotel guests. The work out room has everything you would need in terms of equipment and all is clean. The only negative was the great descriptions of food in the room service menu that made no concession to any type of food allergy and the food itself was so so disappointing. However, if you know Austin there is plenty of great food to be had everywhere and the room service staff is great. Just let your fingers dial for take out if you want to eat in. Everything else was great and I love the Omni and will stay there again and again.

Nice hotel, however reception could not locate reservation at check in. We were on the phone with Orbitz for an hour in the lobby to secure a room.

We would definitely return to this hotel had a very nice pool spa gym area, rest of the hotel is nice and upscale

Y'all it was SXSW weekend and everything that could have went wrong for me did, but the hotel staff here was amazing. Kelly at the front desk was great! I got in early and she was able to get me a room early. They had bandaids, scissors, extra towels, coffee and tea after a late night of shenanigans, and only 3 miles from downtown. I would definitely recommend staying here again!

We arrived at the airport late. Being from Montana and elderly, the hotel was difficult to locate. It could not be seen from I-35 because of the raised roads around the freeway. We finally saw the hotel on our way back to the airport using the feed roads instead of I-35. This confusion caused us over a hour instead of the normal 15 mins. to get from the airport.

The hotel is ok overall - great staff, cozy room (although a bit dated, but clean and has a certain charm to it - nice lighting, clean). My issue was the noisy location - next to several major highways. If you are a light sleeper, avoid staying here - there is a non-stop wooosh-whoosh noise from all the cars. Also, we were charged a very odd "starch" charge of $3 something... They've refunded it, but still... It was so odd, i don't even know what to say about it. Starch?!?!

Hotel and room were fine. I didn't spend much time in the room, but it was clean and bed was comfortable.

Pool and hot tub weren't open. Place was dark. No vending machines for drinks

The beds were not comfortable at all. Made it hard to get a good nights rest.

Probably the best/fastest check-in I've ever had! Can't wait to get back!

Loved the hotel. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Awesome experience.

The room did have sort of a musty or moldy smell. Most likely from the A/C

Room was very nice. Fitness room very clean and nice too
